I'm so glad you did this video. Whilst this horrible disease has by no means gone away, at least now we're seeing some light at the end of the tunnel. Over the next few years I hope to support our own tourist industry. Rather than getting on a plane to go abroad I'd rather help Blackpool and other holiday spots in the UK get back on their feet.
Thanks for sharing your video, this was my home town for many years. It's strange how it stays in your blood. I miss the sea. I still have family in the area I think! though we are estranged I never stop thinking of you all. Pamela, Barbara, Iris, Sarah. I'm in my sixties now and it's been a long long time. I can only hope that you are well and that you are safe . Kind regards Paul from London
Same age here too and always reminisce about summer hols down the coast at st Anne’s. You should make contact with your family, never too late! At least give it a try! Good luck
thank you for giving my "Blackpool fix " once this pandemic is defeated; Blackpool is the first place am visiting when life returns to normal. Fish and chips on the Prom anyone
@@MrTerryb1956 YA ON!!! As, soon as this BLOODY 💩 is over you buy the grub & I'll buy ya a pint MAYBE!!! two 😄😄😀😀 We'll have to set up a private contact to arrange things at a later date. Till then TAKE CARE & LOOK AFTER YOURSELF & if you have a spouse & family TAKE CARE, TO ALL 👍😉

I live in Stoke on Trent, I have visited Blackpool virtually every year of my life (now 53) for at least a day out if not a weekend or more. Sad to see it like this! Love the place.
Bring tears to your eyes. My all time favourite place for my northernsoul world. Local People are great. Pubs clubs and all Blackpool offers you is Amazing
its so sad to see Blackpool like this hope we can all look back at this soon and say oh what a world we lived in, its so depressing , stay safe everyone there will be light at the end of the tunnel.
Same here in sw London The music is awful enhances the eeriness to the point that it seems Blackpool has died Well it hasn't and we look forward to our annual visit in October
The music is awful It exaggerates the eeriness and gives impression that Blackpool has died Well it hasn't and we look forward to our annual stay in October !
Interesting to see what it will be like this coming Easter weekend ; probably similar. Not that I will be able to see it even though I live here. I expect that the police will be stopping cars at the end of the M55 and if they seem to have travelled out for the day they will turn them round. Hopefully the policy works to curb the spread of this nightmare disease. I cannot imagine what all the hundreds of thousands that live cooped up in tower blocks in London and other cities feel . Lets 's hope we all have a peaceful Easter.
Seems to be quite a police presence around today across the country on the roads. Not your usual good Friday that's for sure! Here's hoping the second half of the season goes ahead and people return in their numbers!
So do I Usually a great town Like any large town ( in the USA it would be a city) it has its rough areas . I have lived here for 70 years and would not live anywhere else
My favourite place even looks amazing when closed. Thank you for sharing this
