As someone who did leave a comment saying “oh the visor isn’t correct” in the last video, I never meant to give you grief!!! I thought I was being helpful, but when I commented, I hadn’t grasped how much work you guys put in. Personally, just aesthetically I think Rex’s helmet looks better than Brian’s, but that’s just my opinion, and that’s coming from someone who also really wants to build a helmet but don’t think I have the talent. Both helmets look mega! Love the content btw
It’s been awhile but I’m starting to make another set of foam clone armor. Galactic armory has been my go to for buckets for years. All of the 3D printed helmets I did in the past were from him. -kix_cosplay

That’s what I think is the fun of painting clone armour. When your making it and you know other people have the same thing. You can add small details to make it unique to you.
I made a helmet out of Eva foam it’s not as good but I’m 15 and I think that it’s good for my age

The best part about building a helmet of you don’t cars about it being 501st approved, is you can literally just make your own clone. You can personalize it and paint it like any clone in the series had done to their own helmet

Galactic armourys method of slapping bondo on a raw print is ill advised. Grab yourself an orbital sander and smooth out the lines before filler primering it.

Love Kevin's helmets. I have his V1 Captain Rex and I hand painted everything to be as close to screen as possible. I need to get V2 Rex and grunt and a Vaughn

When it comes to 3d printing for the first time, there are a lot of factors to consider. Be prepared to spend a lot time,money and failure a lot before you can achive success.

Funny enough after you posted those printed helmet videos I thought to ask what do you prefer.
I love galactic armory, I was able to get my helmet raw printed for around 30$ in filament, and only about 150 including my printer(I built my 3D printer) and although there’s some issues, it’s nothing major.
Just ordered one :) asked him just the other day if he had modeled a Rex yet... I hope he does
Ok... love the helmet reviews and the suiting up vids, but... don’t know, I’m tired. Laters.
Really, i just bought 2 helmet designs from him a week ago, yes i go for designs so i can make as many as i want to.
You guys should check out cybercraft on Etsy, they started doing clone wars helmets and they look fantastic

How long after you Bordo/Evercoat the abs plastic until you should sand? Like 2 minutes, 10 minutes to dry...

3D printed helmet looks like it could have come from one of the live action movies, the resin helmet looks like it was pulled straight from the animated tv series

Just have to say it, the on the right looks just a bit more accurate to the clone wars one. But if were talking about a live action captain vaughn. The one on the left looks a bit more accurate to what it might look like in real life.
The GA print is ROTS based in the movie style.

No it’s actually a little lighter than the resin helmet.

Hey, I don’t have a lot of money, but I’ve been looking for a helmet to buy. I wanted to buy a galactic armory helmet. I’ve never done anything like this. So from an experienced person’s opinion, do you think it would be smart for my first time to try this difficult of a helmet? (I’m also just doing a 501st grunt, nothing super special.)
If you’re patient and follow his instruction, absolutely you can do it!

One helmet isn't better than the other. They're just like different styles of the same thing.
Yeah, one looks like a live action version and the other looks like it's from the show direct.

Realistic versions have a different chin altogether, where the tubes are joined as one piece, not seperate
