- The house has a massive, red deck that Christina wants to either paint or stain. Tarek wants to keep the woodsy vibe that comes with the red colour.

The previous owners are one in a million. Not only did they have a beautiful house, they left it immaculate!!! I am glad Tarek listened to Cristina and painted the deck a different colour. It goes so well with the modern interior of the house now.
The deck looks terrible painted. It almost looks like a cheap blue. Paint is also not going last in the long run compared to stain.
Mostly the cool toned grey clashes with the orange/warm toned sand stone around the pool and the warmer wooden fence - hate the paint color
I was such a fan of the earthy toned deck with the landscape it warmed the whole place up
Legit same, this new colour they chose is actually horrendous.
She's a one-trick pony. Black, grey, white. I'd love to see her try to decorate one of our antebellum mansions in the south. She'd hit a wall!

I loved this home so much. I wish we could get away from gray and subway tiles in all the episodes.

Yeah being in the business 45 ++ plus years previous owners leaving a property in this condition is unusual, I'm not a fan of some episodes where Tarek be littles Christina lets never forget Christina stood beside him when they were homeless years ago many don't know but she had other options much better than him but she did stand with him all the way,

That paint color on the deck was horrid. Also, I do wish they'd have done more "earthy" flips. So much black, white, and gray. It isn't particularly inspired.
@JayJaySmith11 I'm not saying that neutrals are inherently bad. You can have a neutral palette that still incorporated earthy things. Pale wood, stone, something organic. Gray on gray on gray has been out for a couple of years now.
This is an amazing home !! You could set 5 or 6 of my homes in this one home ! People in California are sooo spoiled !! Absolutely GREAT JOB ON THE FLIP YOU TWO SWEETIES !!❤

So they took out wood floors to put in vinyl? The deck looks blue, not gray. The kitchen tile pattern is too simple. Front door looks old fashioned. It's a great house but they stripped the personality.
It's for continuity, no buyers want to have 4 different floors in their house. Agree with the color of the deck. They not sell the house for a targeting costumes which mean basic is a key to bait any potential buyers.
It’s a flip all about profit. Obviously if they were living in it themselves they would save everything they wanted. Not the same case for a flip
They have a knack for taking beautiful homes, ripping out all the original features and chucking up grey paint, shaker cabinets and ugly patterned tiles
They are flippers not restorers
@@arnie3631 they can be both. A good flipper would know what should be kept and what should be updated, they don’t seem to know

Why does everything has to be open floor plan?
Because obviously people like the smell of frying fish, meat, onions, the noise of kitchen appliances, and the damp of cooking steam in their living room. 😉
I think the layout of this house was nicer before the flip.
With five kids, that "open floor plan" gets old REAL quick. I've got doors and walls, thanks. 🙂

Love this show..But they always choose tacky kitchen backsplash n the fireplace design is so not fit for a million dollar house..
In 10 years, the next owners will refer to it as "granny tile."

Like more before why always open space,always similar boring design...I preferred the retro separate kitchen they could only paint in white,and shame for a fireplace that they didn't behind.

I will never understand why the fridge is not included in the house in CA homes. Every other state has a fridge in the kitchen, but CA will not put a fridge in the kitchen for nothing!

What a beautiful kitchen. Oh don't do anything. It has drawers. I'd pay real money to have a kitchen with more than 1 drawer. Paint the cabinets inside and out white. Change the hardware and update the appliances. Of course they will change everything and I'll be "but guys...it has drawers". 64days later... Oh you did change the cabinets. "But the drawers? Did you send them to kitchen heaven? Did you at least say good bye".

it was better when women knew they were supposed to be seen and not heard, not an accident that Christina has had multiple husbands.
The old front door has just been repainted, and it sucks. The front door should be the calling card of the house, but it is not suitable for the new general design of that house. I don't understand such a silly mistake

Both of them are narcissistic and more worried about competing with each other than focus on the show. Making each other look bad is unprofessional and Their drama is ridiculous.

So stupid. This house is beautiful with only a few upgrades it make it better. Remove the fireplace, no! They always use crazy bold tiles that will or are already out of style! It is painful to watch them but the home di turn out ok.
Those are Spanish machuka tiles. They have been around forever. They never really went away
It's shocking the left the front door. These two must be er cook because they always include the built in micro over the stove. That is about as low end as you can get.
