Best secret spot on Maui. I scored it going off back in March 1997 with just me and 150 of my closest friends, with 5-7 of us sharing each wave. Great times 🎉

@@Hougified and to make the trip even better, and I swear on my mother’s life this is true, after one of my 150 friends took off in front of me to “share” the wave with me, I got stuffed in the whitewater and when I came up, my board shot back at me and I caught the tip of one of my fins directly into my ear. It sliced the cartilage like a razor. Blood everywhere. And another highlight of Maui was when I arrived to find my 7’4” completely destroyed by the airline baggage handlers. The airline told me “tough shit, get fucked, have a nice day.” The board was beyond repair so I threw it away. Yep, I’ve been all over the world and surfed on 6 continents, but my trip to Maui was my all time favorite! 🥰
