Ozzy and Randy are never in the same frame. This is taken from two separate videos and edited together and then a black and white filter applied to the color videos from Speak of the Devil.
that 82 show was LEGIT. i saw the 81 show and it was outdoors so hard to compare but 82? Until Maiden Powerslave it was the best metal show I had ever seen and Randy was FLAWLESS.
I believe this to be from The Speak of the Devil tour right after Randy died which is Brad Gillis on guitar. The footage of RR is from his Quiet Riot days.
When Randy left Quiet Riot he upped his game in a manner that is like going from pop to metal. He was just a kid but he played like he was born with a Gibson attached to his body that played for survival.
RR a master at music and how Rock should be played. I hope he somehow knows what a picture of his music abilities has done for listen ers like me And the rest of the world
It is Bernie torme. He replaced Randy for a few shows before Brad Gillis took over. I saw the Bernie show April 3rd in New Haven. Couple weeks after Randy's death
No doubt my opinion the greatest ever! Then John fornicate of the Chili peppers then Tracii Guns! God bless you Sir Mr Randy Rhodes!! You leave me speechless with tears rolling down my face as I listen to your masterpieces that you improvised on unreal!
*Click bait* This is video from the Diary of a Madman show with Brad Gillis, with live concert footage of Randy in Quiet Riot edited in. The audio does sound like Randy. I gave you a thumbs fown for deceiving people
@@OfTheDarkestReaches Of course, you really got to give Gillis some serious credit for nailing Rhoads riffs and licks as well as he did considering that there weren't all of the videos and books transcribing Randy's style that there are today!
I'll try to clear this up for all the people who are totally confused as to who the guitar player is. It is NOT Brad, Bernie, Or Zakk. It's Randy. No doubt about it. The Audio is not from this video and the video of Randy is not from this concert. But who you hear is Randy.
100% agree. this is definitely randy. the tone gives it away immediately. but in my mind, considering how this version of the solo is butchered (from the tribute), really does show his disdain for black sabbath songs. too bad as this is one of the more iconic solos of his.
Isn't Randy playing, it's Zakk Wylde, they pick a old live record of Randy and showed it to Zakk to learn.. First time i see/hear a "live" video without crowd loud, that's why they not enabled commentarys at Ozzy Oficcial channel at this video.
Sorry this aint it, that's Randy playing with Quiet Riot in 1977 and over cut with Ozzy with Brad Gillis doing Speak of The Devil, the audio yes is Mr Rhoads..
That is NOT Randy Rhoads playing guitar on the audio track. You can tell just by the tone and playing #NOTRANDY. Must be Brad from speak of the devil recording.
Ozzy never wanted anything to do with Speak of the Devil associated with Randy Rhoades. The thought of Randy with anything to do with the Devil was a abomination to his memory as far as Ozzy was concerned. He loved him that much to do so. Since he owns any and all Black Sabbath material he made Speak of the Devil as a very big FU to Toni and RJ Dio,who were in a very big competition to this album and (RJD live release of Black Sabbath live material) Live,Evil.
Shame is not Randy but Bernie Tormé, and video it's a fake, Randy in 1982 dress a different clothes on stage , this it's a collage took from Quite Riot era and Ozzy Live
Yes, the chords are correct, but Randy played this in standard while Tony tuned down a step and a half. The main riff in the original recording was Tony chugging on an open C# plus the octave, but Randy played the riff as fourth fret A string power chord, which gives us a C# power chord. Same chord, just an octave up.
@@luvmedrums4057 Brad is very good but he would be the first to tell you he was not Randy Rhoads, a unique player born to play the instrument. This guy preferring BRad's version OK, but I think Randy showed his genius in his version of the Sabbath songs, taking something rudimentary and adding a lot of depth to it.
Ozzy and Randy are never in the same frame. This is taken from two separate videos and edited together and then a black and white filter applied to the color videos from Speak of the Devil.
Randy Rhoads is unrealistic wow
A lot if the RR video is from Quiet Riot
Its still good fun as we dont have much live video on Randy
You are right
This is 82 when Brad Gillis was playing
My first concert was in 82
Ozzy with Randy Rhodes at the Lansing Civic Center, was incredible!!!
Diary of a Mad Man tour
if you see randy, you see the god of guitar
'81 for me. music mountain, upstate ny. def leopard opened for them.
This is a great rendition...if only the video footage of Randy playing matched the audio.
what can you do, there is no video of him playing that song On youtube......there is a video of some shows but I won't get into that
it's Brad Gillis from the speak of the devil sessions..... the video is spliced too....
@@brandonshane1432It's Bernie Torme Irish guitar player for Ozzy in March 82 .
Been a Randy fanatic for decades, but I like the version on the Tribute album much better. Still awesome though.
Agree> Seems like he bored by this time and was not laser focused like on Tribute
if Ozzy would put out a good quality DVD of the Randy Rhoads concert years,,,,,he'd make a mint,,,I'll bet he has some footage
It's coming! Jack Osbourne said so!
Ask Sharon she’s got everything locked down tightttttt
They don't want to have to pay royalties.
A Live DVD video of Tribute would Reap Billions
Thank You for putting this on here R.I.P. RANDY WE LOVE AND MISS YOU SO MUCH
Randy went unorthodox on this one. And that makes this recording a gem 💎 thanks for the upload
The Founder Of Heavy Metal did it way before anyone thought to copy him.
Thank you! A Randy recording I haven’t heard. He was one of my greatest influences when I first started learning guitar. RIP
This is Randy from a Quiet Riot video and Ozzy has coloured tattoos that he didn’t have when Randy was alive…
@@neilsibson2874 The Ozzy video is from the Irvine show....

Sounds great 👍 🎸🍺
An absolut gem!!! The best versión of that song is Randdy's.
no question he owned that song
God this is priceless!! Thanks for sharing! More more more!!
2:41 extra groovy

Beautiful footage

The Audio is Randy. You can tell his sound and his playing.
Yeah it's definitely not Rhoads, the fills are all missing. It's good playing but it's not him. Probably Torme.
Yeah definitely not Rhoads. I agree, this is likely Torme.
I don't know if it's my feeling, but Ozzy looks very happy with Randy. I'm going to jump around and have fun
Brad Gillis was performing not Randy. The Randy videos are from his Quiet Riot days.
@@nbgirl483 The video could be from a show with Brad Gillis but the audio is definitely Randy.
La guitarra de Randy le dió un plus a ese rolón.
Yeh you wish! Speak of the devil w/ quiet riot edited in
The Randy Footage looks like it's from a 1979 Quiet Riot concert at Wiskey a Go Go. Randy didnt wear a lot of bow ties with ozzy either
Так и есть , тут кадры Ренди ещё с Квайт Райт.
Все верно .
Randy's tone sounds so much better in these bootlegs, than that overly processed tone on that "Tribute" album.
Randy's video is actually taken from a Quiet Riot show!

it was made splicing video together from different concerts and Randy Quiet riot footage

i will pretend this is an alternate timeline where randy is still alive
Video w/ Ozzy is post Randy's death (the blue tattoo). Audio is awesome.

Ozzy is a madman, wearing yoga pants before any one

2 different videos put together....not real

you are right but the audio is Randy probably from a bootleg ? x
2 different videos spliced together.randy in quiet riot and ozzy speak of the devil tour
Randy Rhoads' version was the best in my opinion.

Brad Gillis played this song so much better than Randy.
said no one... Randy added stuff to this song neither Tony nor Brad had the knowledge base to pull from, he adds more melody to it.
