In this video, we go over the basics of starting, flying and landing the Extra 300LT. Some basic aerobatics are covered as well as general flying tips. POH: www.extraaircr...
First time I tried to land this plane in MSFS I porpoised down the entire crosswind runway at Page AZ and wound up just going around and landing on the longer runway instead. Definitely one I'm going to need to practice with. 😅
This plane is so hard to land. You have to go like 40 knots or you faceplant as soon as the wheels hit the ground. Can't brake hard or you faceplant. It literally takes me more pavement to land this plane than a goddamn Boeing. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!! Because this is by far my favorite plane and i really wanna be able to land it haha
Have issues landing this plane? I've spent countless hours practicing touch and goes because I had a major issue landing this aircraft, and from what I learned The key to landing this plane in my book is to get as close as you can to stall speed as possible, I normally shot for 64knots, and be priming the brakes as soon as you touch down. Keep the yoke title back a tiny bit. And just let it roll out itself out once you get below 55 knots you can pull back and get the rear gear to touch down, and Bam! You landed
Honestly, I'm here for the landing (like a lot of others by the looks of it) great video and explanations. Now to go practice practice practice for my qualifications in neofly 4 hehe
"I'm not a 'stunt' pilot"... clearly! They're called aerobatic pilots 😉 The flight models are terrible especially ground handling, spins/stalls/snaps & knife edge flying. It's as though they haven't factored in the fuselage as a lifting body. The best aerobatic flight models I've ever encountered in a flight simulator were in 1995's Flight Unlimited. They were spot on - you could do proper snap rolls, spins, tailslides & knife-edge flying. I have lots of real world time on a Pitts S2A & Decathlon so I know a bit about the subject. EDIT: RUclips is doing some funky nonsense with comments...

Great Video. What do you use to control your head movements? It's so smooth to look around.
What are the red lines on the MFD when looping?
it shows where you should go to exit the dive.
how do u bring down flaps?
There is no flaps

Can you add autopilot in the CFG system file?

I try to add autopilot =1 in the system.Cfg but no luck activating the autopilot in game. In FSX it worked.
First???
Just wanted to thank you again for your video series on the various autopilot systems. Saved me MONTHS of frustration.
What head tracking are you using in this video? Track ir? Open track?
I love your vids man. When I'm not VR flying I'm watching :)
Feels weird to have a GPS on a stunt plane.
Why? You realise you have to fly these things to competitions right?

try DCS
I remember Flight Unlimited. It had a great smooth flight model.
Must have been around Pentium 100 time.
