WB wasted everyone's time with Joker Fully Dogsh**. They had the opportunity to greenlight Batgirl or Batman beyond but instead they picked that piece of CRAP
Batgirl would have been more of a gamble for them, from their point of view. They knew Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker movie had made tons of money. The only modern Batgirl reference they had was Alicia Silverstone in massive bomb “Batman And Robin.” As far as Batman Beyond, they might fear that that is too niche to make tons of money. My most disappointing movie was Kinds Of Kindness. After Poor Things I was hella excited for another team up from the director and Emma Stone and hoo boy if there was ever a movie that "it's not for me" applies its this one. It's a mess of a anthology nonsense.
At the very least Madame Web gave us the best line of 2024 - "He was in the Amazon with my mother when she was researching spiders right before she died"
I completely forgot there was a new Ghostbusters this year 😅 probably because I haven’t seen it, but also after it came out I haven’t seen anyone else mention it until now.
10: The Crow. 9: Joker Folie a Deux. I have never in my entire life, hated a movie like this so passionately while also kind of loving it ironically. I was laughing all throughout the movie because of how out of nowhere the damn songs are. 8: Venom The Last Dance. 7: Moana 2. 6: Kung Fu Panda 4. 5: MaXXXine. 4: Red One 3: Beetlejuice BeetleJuice 2: Terrifier 3 1: That Christmas
Good list man 🔥 interesting to see Terrifier 3 in there. I was gonna put Wicked on mine because of how hyped up it was but I knew at the end of the day I was gonna feel like it was just solid, exactly how I think about the musical
@NinthShinigami I enjoyed Terrifier 3 quite a bit but compared to Terrifier 2. I think it's a step down in quality. Not a major step down but a let down regardless. Also, i LOVED Wicked
"Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire" "The Killer" "Madame Web" "Maxxine" "Trap" "Unfrosted" "Argylle" "Venom: The Last Dance" "Rebel Moon: Part Two" "Joker: Folie a Deux"
I.S.S. The Watchers Trap (I know that the director is a hit or miss, but I had hopes he was back because Knock at the Cabin was good last year) Joker: Folie A Deux (but I hoped it would surprise me) The crisis on Infinite Earths animated trilogy LOTR: War of the Rohirrim Mary (Netflix) Argylle Boy kills World
Tbh, my expectations for Anora were almost off the chart. I was so excited for this but I ended up very disappointed. It was alright but I just didn’t see the hype for it expect Mikey Madison’s performance. I also didn’t watch some “bad” films like Joker 2 or the Sony spideverse movies
Joker 2 is my #1, easily. the first Joker is my favorite movie of all time, it just came out at the perfect time for me, and I have such fond memories of seeing it with friends and the discussions it birthed. Joker 2 was a slap in the face to me as a fan, still well made in the sense of cinematography and overall production design, but the story was just a bad joke😕😒
Omg I still remember being so pissed after watching Orion. Like that movie had a cool concept but wtf happened to the exploration of Orions fear after the time travel bs
I recently bought The Killer on Blu-ray and hadn't seen it in a long time. Damn forgot how incredible it was. I mean after Silent Night and The Killer remake I'm not sure John Woo has it anymore, which sucks.
I’ve seen about half Shyamalan’s films and pretty much liked them all. But I was looking forward to Trap just bcuz Josh Hartnett has been one of our favorite actors for years. And what a fun ride this movie is! I don’t get all the gripes. We knew going into it it was going to be fun. The trailers tipped it off. Yes, it’s a thriller, yes a cat and mouse game, but it’s got camp stamped all over it! The dialogue lol “What was it? A scalper?” How about the cop’s description of a victim? He’s married with a 2 yr old child and takes care of his parents and was voted the most popular teacher in his school. Or Cooper’s description of the guy chained up in his basement: “His name is Spencer, he’s 22 and he’s into sustainable agriculture .” And the tongue in cheek delivery is hilarious. Hartnett’s expressions, his body language, what a great performance! There are flaws for sure, bad editing, too much Saleka singing and her cringeworthy acting, abrupt tonal shifts. But the preposterous premise and the 4,000 improbabilities are what make the movie comedic and we loved it. 20,000 fans, 3000 men. Did they have gender stamped on tickets? The profiler says she has data on all the 3000 men so she can identify the Butcher. I mean, this is funny stuff! So we weren’t disappointed in Trap at all. If Hartnett had given a bad performance we would definitely have been. But he’s fantastic and the movie is great fun!
I don’t like all of M. Night’s films but when I like them, I really like them and trap is one of them because it’s hilarious although it’s a thriller. Interestingly, not sure if it would have worked without Josh Hartnett giving a good performance.
Even though I still found it enjoyable, Kung Fu Panda 4 was definitely the most disappointing movie for me as it had all the ingredients to be just as great at the previous films.

My picks for the most disappointing 2024 movies are… Kung Fu Panda 4 Ghostbusters Frozen Empire Red One (call me crazy but with a plot and cast like that, I actually had hope for that movie)
10: Ghostbusters frozen empire: I did enjoy it but it was a big step down from afterlife which I loved 9: rebel moon part 2: this would be higher on the list but after rebel moon 1 I lowered my expectations for this although it still stands that I was disappointed 8: Madame Web: I was actually excited for this one because I was interested in the concept and trailer but it doesn't deliver on anything that could and should have been interesting 7: trap: I really liked this movie but I was expecting a lot more from the movie because I loved the trailer but I liked it a lot 7: the killer: I haven't reviewed this one on letterboxd yet but I watched it and as a big fan of the original this one was just a soulless re adaptation 6: Maxxxine: I was very excited for this because I loved Pearl but the actual whodunnit was undercooked and obvious 5: red one: like with trap I enjoyed it but I was expecting a lot from the director of Jumanji welcome to the jungle as a Christmas movie 4: Emilia Perez: again I haven't reviewed it yet because I'm behind on letterboxd but I heard fantastic things about it and it was just ok for me 3: Joker: Folie a deux: I love joker and this was pretty dull at times and I didn't like the ending 2: horizon: an American saga part 1: I have seen part 2 as well because I was at the Venice film festival and they were both these slow moving pretty dull movies 1: Argylle: I did enjoy the movie but when we are talking about a movie that came in way below expectations that was this for me it's too silly at times and has way to much going on Edit: I should have mentioned I have 2 number 7s because I can't decide which one belongs there
Kung Fu Panda 4 and Despicable Me 4 disappointed me, they both only exist solely as cash grabs and almost butchers the point of their predecessors, i didnt care for either they just kind of disappointed and made me feel nothing
Kung Fu Panda 4 wasn't that bad. However, it lacks the vibe of the three previous movies and thus it's the weakest in the franchise. Despicable Me 4 rotted me down to the core. It was terrible.
Mean Girls - I knew it was based on the musical going in to it, and while I don’t have the same nostalgia for the original as others do I expected something a bit better than this. The opening song I liked, it was a sharp turn downhill after. I audibly groaned every time a new song came on and mentally saying they should stop singing. A Quiet Place: Day One - Loved the first two, this one was a major letdown. Not suspenseful, not creepy, not atmospheric, this gave me nothing that the first two had in spades. Still don’t buy how they knew about the creatures sensitivity to sound right out of the gate. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes - More like Boredom of the Planet of the Apes. I get what they were going for but it was stretched thin. I also thought the main characters performance was terrible. IF - A great trailer and premise that just felt flat. Moana 2 - Another musical that I wished they stopped singing. Great animation and some of the humor works, but overall it belonged on Disney+ Sonic The Hedgehog 3 - It was fine, I just thought the first two were better. I’m also in the very small minority that didn’t like Keanu Reeves as Shadow.
Ghostbusters Frozen Empire was indeed mid. It's heart was in the right place, but the script had too many cooks in the kitchen. There were actual scenes that were cut that could have elevated the film higher.
My biggest disappointments of the year: 3. Moana 2 Expectation: The original is my favorite Disney Princess movie. This one must be awesome. Reality: Yeah, this was clearly meant for streaming. 2. IF Expectation: This looks surprisingly creative. Plus I always love seeing Ryan Reynolds. Reality: I get it, it's for the kids, but they deserve something better. 1. Joker: Folie à Deux Expectation: I love the first movie and love Joaquin Phoenix. Now the sequel has Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn AND it's a musical? This sounds like my kind of thing! Reality: Simply bad. Nothing awful, but... just bad.
@noobmasterruben5167 I mean, it's better than the previous DC movie, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Yes, the ending is bad, but not the worst ending ever.
My disappointments: 1. The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim 2. Longlegs 3. Challengers 4. Escape from Germany 5. AGGRO DR1FT 6. Rebel Moon 7. Megalopolis 8. Joker: Folie à Deux 9. Trap 10. Hellboy: The Crooked Man
That’s a great list. I shouldn’t find it hard to believe but I’m surprised slightly that Megalopolis wasn’t on more people’s ranking for disappointing movies
The biggest disappointing movies I saw were 1) JOKER: FOLIE a DEUX - Undone everything I liked about the first movie 2) MEGALOPOLIS - Coppola's ambitious passion project was an insanity project. 3) DRIVE-AWAY DOLLS - I have never been disappointed in a movie by the Coen brothers 4) HERE - The gimmick makes all the activity feel emotionally distant or contrived. 5) KUNG FU PANDA 4 - Had none of the fun from the trilogy. 6) ARGYLLE - Had too much style and substance to sit through. 7) GODZILLA x KONG - Sorry, just couldn't enjoy it. 8) APARTMENT 7A - A prequel to Rosemary's Baby that doesn't add anything we haven't seen before. 9) TRAP - First half in the concert was good, but letdown in the latter half. 10) BEEKEEPER - Desperately wants to be the next John Wick but didn't have a charismatic hero to like.
Here’s something I said about Trap a few months ago (I don’t think I’m spoiling anything because this stupidity was shown in the trailer). When it comes to stupid decisions in horror movies, I feel that one vendor in the movie Trap should be mentioned. The plot is the authorities somehow learned this serial killer was going to be at a concert, so they sent police to watch every entrance and exit to prevent his escape. However, the serial killer learned about this and stated working on an escape plan. How did he find out? One of the vendors, not knowing he was the killer, told him, “Hey, this is all one huge trap to catch the serial killer! Isn’t that cool?” All the mayhem and chaos in that movie occurred because one idiot couldn’t keep his dang mouth shut. Even if the guy he told didn’t happen to be the killer, it’s still an incredibly idiotic thing to do. Let’s look at what could have happened if it were some random person he’d told and not the killer. What if the person he told started shooting his mouth off to everybody and the killer found out that way? What if he panicked and yelled, “THERE’S A SERIAL KILLER HERE!?” causing other people to panic? What if he decided to pretend to be the killer as a joke and got arrested, causing the real killer to escape while he was trying to convince the police, “It was just a prank, bro!”? What if he decided some random innocent person was the killer and attacked him thinking he was delivering some vigilante justice and would be praised as a hero? Why would you run the risk of ruining a big sting by assuming some random guy could be trusted with the secret?
Out of all the 2024 films I saw, there's not a film that I thought was a disappointment nor I hate. If I were to rank the films that I saw it's going to be from good to the best.
Joker 2 was an apology to those who hated the first movie and a middle finger to those who loved it, and of course no one who hated the first movie bothered to see it. I’m in the middle on the first one, and from the trailers I thought I’d check out Joker 2 on streaming, but yeah, after the abysmal reception, I think I’ll give it a pass.
@@pablomoral4751 that’s fair. That one would be a disappointment/surprise for me. Disappointed in the sense that it’s not this modern war epic about a second Civil War, but a surprise that it is about true journalism and how journalists are supposed to cover the news not be activists for certain agendas. They can have their opinions (there are column and opinion sections for a reason), but they have to be objective and I thought the film highlighted that fairly well.
I'm not a musical person at all. So, I knew I wouldn't watch the Joker sequel. It kinda seems like Todd Phillips was trying to pull a Joe Dante. But, I think that was a one time thing. Gremlins 2 will never be topped as the ULTIMATE 🖕 to the studio for forcing a director to make a sequel?!?
1 The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim 2 Joker: Folie à Deux 3 Terrifier 3 4 Maxxxine 5 Gladiator II 6 Road House 7 Borderlands 8 Trap 9 Cuckoo 10 Alien: Romulus
When it comes to Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, I have to admit it didn’t quite live up to my expectations. I was hoping it would capture the same magic as the original film. But sadly, it fell short for me. 🤷🏻♂️
For me,the most disappointing was Gladiator 2..I expected a better story, and trailer looked good.Joker 2 is close next, only because the trailer wasn't as good as for Gladiator 2.
It was disheartening to hear all the bar criticism this movie received. I ended up reading the spoilers and was pissed off by the ending. Like, we could’ve had a great Joker 2, but Todd Phillips was more interested in pissing off the fans than giving us a better take on the Joker. I'm glad this movie flopped, and let it be another example of not pissing off the fans.
@jacindaellison3363 whats even more baffling is its budget, like Im pretty sure Arcane and Elemental made full use of its $200 mil budget than that abortion
Felt the same about Frozen Empire, the whole relationship with a ghost subplot needed to have been jettisoned. MaXXXine while OK, is the lessor film in the trilogy, it would have been far more interesting had they actually woven the story into the Night Stalker story rather than using it as just a backdrop against it. I actually thought Frosted was a riot. It may be a fact that I’m a 60’s era kid or how much I enjoyed all of the characters, but I had a great time with it.
Argylle, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire and Venom: The Last Dance are the only movies from this list that I watched in theaters. I thought Matthew Vaughn would make a great spy movie, but the plots left me confused. I only watched them because I never saw a Venom, Ghostbusters or Matthew Vaughn movie before in theaters. I have Netflix, but still didn’t see Unfrosted or the Rebel Moon films. Joker 2 is the top disappointing movie of this year because Joker was loved by multiple people and a sequel can’t normally being worse with Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn. The first trailer was even a success. And then we got something completely different. Joker should have been a standalone movie like it was originally planned. I still hasn’t seen it because I don’t to waste my time for that movie.
Quiet Place day one was kinda disappointing since it didn't reveal anything new about the death angles like we thought but Kung Fu Panda was definitely the most disappointing. This film had huge hype cos of the villains returning and they totally played us. They got rid of the furious five. We got an irritating Akwiafina character as the new dragon warrior? We got a crap villain who didn't feel threatening at all. The story wasn't great, the humour was forced and didn't land, and then we get the villains back, but two of them say nothing, they basically get no rematches or interactions with po and most of all they could not have acted more out of character. Overall such wasted potential and I don't consider it canon. Like I can't fathom their decisions with it all. Why would u get rid of the fan favs Furious Five? Why would you make a criminal wolf voiced by bloody Akwiafina as the dragon warrior instead of giving the mantle to Tigress or Tai Lung and giving him a fantastic satisfying arc. Why do we even need a new dragon warrior? Why give us the past villains if your not gonna have them say anything or act in character. Like I know they couldn't get and pay the actors back but if you can't do that then don't make the movie for god sake 😂 even the animation looks way cheaper. KF4 didn't feel like proper KFP and was a massive downgrade for the franchise
@connorquinn42 yeah I agree it was good but it wasn't as good and had some strengths but I wasn't as good as everyone was expecting and didn't really do anything major that was worth making then film for. It really felt like we were gonna get answers about where the death angles came from and more about them but we didn't at all and the thrills weren't quite as strong as the first two films
@doomraven0 I really like her as a person and her personality but her voice doesn't work in voice acting, especially when she gets SO MANY voice roles. Her voice is so distracting and annoying to hear in a animation character. When watching Zhen in KFP4 all I heard and saw was Akwiafina
Well the good thing is I am not so focused on what's others think. I loved the film. I do know you mentioned it was jot as good as everyone was expecting. Yet again many love this movie too. Its not just one side. One thing i did like is we saw a humongous angel. I also liked the movie was a setting like new York and seeing the alien attack on day one for more than just a flashback.
My expectations weren't high for Argylle but I never thought it'd be easily my least favorite movie of the year and one of my least favorite movies of all time. Complete and utter garbage
My Top 10 Disappointments 1. Joker: Folie a Deux 2. Kung Fu Panda 4 3. Damsel 4. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire 5. Civil War 6. Hit Man 7. Transformers One 8. Strange Darling 9. Venom: The Last Dance 10. Immaculate
A bloody Bollywood action thriller called Fateh comes out on January 10, 2025. 2025 will have many more Indian movies that you will probably enjoy and hopefully review.
Spoiler for Argylle, but the spoiler will give you a better watching experience . . . . . . . . . . If the movie was promoted as a Kingsman spinoff, I feel like more people who would like it would watch it and the people who that's not their thing wouldn't have gone. I loved it because I love that nonsense, but I understand it's not for everyone.
I'm going to do a movie and a show: Movie: The Fall Guy. I heard that it was this great action/rom-com movie that celebrated stuntmen... and when I watched it, I thought it was pretty dull. Some of the action set pieces were nice and there is some fun to be had with the main characters, but overall a massive disappointment Show: Arcane season 2. After the first season, which I hail as near perfect, this season was allover the place. Way too many characters, and way too many plotlines, and the season never gives you a satisfying conclusion to any of them.
I feel like Zack Snyder isn’t really at fault for the two cuts thing. I imagine if he could release a long violent r rated movie right out of the gate, he would’ve. It seems like Netflix basically offered “you can do whatever you want for the r rated cut, if you do a shorter, mandated, pg 13 version for us” Snyder went for the option that allowed him to get his vision out there, even if not at the start
The problem is that he agreed to it and went on a press tour saying how great it was. So he made himself the spokesperson for a really questionable plan.
I was slightly disappointed with Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. Don’t get me wrong, I still like the movie, but it was one of those films that I expected more from it in terms of world and characters. Also, I wasn’t really a massive fan of Proximus dying because of eagles (hopefully he survived, but we will see), which kind of reminds me of Kang being defeated by ants in Ant-Man 3. Hopefully when the future movies occur, I might have a new perspective on this one

Ooh yeah, forgot about that one ! Man, what a let-down. 🤦♂️
My Top 10 Most Disappointing Movies of 2024:

4. The Exorcism (2024)

9. Despicable Me 4 (2024)
10. Rebel Moon - Part 2: The Scargiver (2024)
I love KFP4's Jack Black Britney Spears cover. It was so good 😅
What was wrong with despicable me and moana? Both fantastic entries to legendary series.
Wow, you watch a lot of movies. I haven't seen any of those.
@connorquinn42 Moana 2 is a direct to dvd sequel to the first. Only made as a cashgrab what are U talking about?
@noobmasterruben5167 Don't confuse subjective opinion with fact.

End of the year lists, baby!!!
Kung Fu Panda 4 dissappointed me.
Agreed
My most disappointing movie was Kinds Of Kindness. After Poor Things I was hella excited for another team up from the director and Emma Stone and hoo boy if there was ever a movie that "it's not for me" applies its this one. It's a mess of a anthology nonsense.
1. Moana 2
2. Joker 2
3. Gladiator 2
4. Ghostbusters Frozen Empire
5. Garfield Movie
All of them disappointed me to an extreme 😢
At the very least Madame Web gave us the best line of 2024 - "He was in the Amazon with my mother when she was researching spiders right before she died"
Despicable Me 4 was by far the most I've been BORED and disappointed in 2024.
4: Red One
3: Beetlejuice BeetleJuice
2: Terrifier 3
1: That Christmas
Good list man 🔥 interesting to see Terrifier 3 in there. I was gonna put Wicked on mine because of how hyped up it was but I knew at the end of the day I was gonna feel like it was just solid, exactly how I think about the musical
@NinthShinigami I enjoyed Terrifier 3 quite a bit but compared to Terrifier 2. I think it's a step down in quality. Not a major step down but a let down regardless. Also, i LOVED Wicked
@@thedisneynerd7866 ah yeah that I understand. I felt the same way about it
I find it hilarious that U were disappointed with Red One. Like wat did u expect it stars The Rock
The Crow 2024 was so unnecessary
"Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire"
"The Killer"
"Madame Web"
"Maxxine"
"Trap"
"Unfrosted"
"Argylle"
"Venom: The Last Dance"
"Rebel Moon: Part Two"
"Joker: Folie a Deux"
I.S.S.
The Watchers
Trap (I know that the director is a hit or miss, but I had hopes he was back because Knock at the Cabin was good last year)
Joker: Folie A Deux (but I hoped it would surprise me)
The crisis on Infinite Earths animated trilogy
LOTR: War of the Rohirrim
Mary (Netflix)
Argylle
Boy kills World
Tbh, my expectations for Anora were almost off the chart. I was so excited for this but I ended up very disappointed. It was alright but I just didn’t see the hype for it expect Mikey Madison’s performance. I also didn’t watch some “bad” films like Joker 2 or the Sony spideverse movies
Sean always has the coolest shirts! 👌
In my opinion venom 3 and ghostbusters weren’t disappointing at all for me I overall enjoyed both of them
Mufasa The Lion King is the most disappointing! So sad. What a weak story!>
I have to ask why Joker is your favorite of all time?
Joker 2 was the most disappointing musical of the century. Snow White 2025 says, "Hold my beer."
Happy holidays
Joker 2
Borderlands
Orion And The Dark
The Strangers Ch. 1
Despicable Me 4
Beekeeper
Madame Web
Omg I still remember being so pissed after watching Orion. Like that movie had a cool concept but wtf happened to the exploration of Orions fear after the time travel bs
Also why are you disappointed with Borderlands this movie already looked bad
Beekeeper was so much fun though xD
I'd put Kung fu panda 4 on here
Wasn't anywhere on par with the first 3 and made a very unlikeable character the dragon Warrior
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Joker 2, Maxxine, and Ghostbusters Frozen Empire are my personal most dissapointing.
Yep, I agree with Joker 2. Such a bad dissapointing movie.
I recently bought The Killer on Blu-ray and hadn't seen it in a long time. Damn forgot how incredible it was. I mean after Silent Night and The Killer remake I'm not sure John Woo has it anymore, which sucks.
I loved Joker Folie A Deue the only thing i didn't love is the ending. Everything else i loved
Even though I still found it enjoyable, Kung Fu Panda 4 was definitely the most disappointing movie for me as it had all the ingredients to be just as great at the previous films.
madame webb didnt dissapoint me because i KNEW it would be trash

All 140+ 2024 Movies I Saw Ranked (Livestream) - January 1st
140 movies ranked… holy crap! This is gonna get good🧉
Yeah Sony Spider-Man films have no business being on a ‘disappointing’ list 😅
I can’t really think of any movie I was disappointed by this year tbh
My picks for the most disappointing 2024 movies are…
Kung Fu Panda 4
Ghostbusters Frozen Empire
Red One (call me crazy but with a plot and cast like that, I actually had hope for that movie)
10: Ghostbusters frozen empire: I did enjoy it but it was a big step down from afterlife which I loved
9: rebel moon part 2: this would be higher on the list but after rebel moon 1 I lowered my expectations for this although it still stands that I was disappointed
8: Madame Web: I was actually excited for this one because I was interested in the concept and trailer but it doesn't deliver on anything that could and should have been interesting
7: trap: I really liked this movie but I was expecting a lot more from the movie because I loved the trailer but I liked it a lot
7: the killer: I haven't reviewed this one on letterboxd yet but I watched it and as a big fan of the original this one was just a soulless re adaptation
6: Maxxxine: I was very excited for this because I loved Pearl but the actual whodunnit was undercooked and obvious
5: red one: like with trap I enjoyed it but I was expecting a lot from the director of Jumanji welcome to the jungle as a Christmas movie
4: Emilia Perez: again I haven't reviewed it yet because I'm behind on letterboxd but I heard fantastic things about it and it was just ok for me
3: Joker: Folie a deux: I love joker and this was pretty dull at times and I didn't like the ending
2: horizon: an American saga part 1: I have seen part 2 as well because I was at the Venice film festival and they were both these slow moving pretty dull movies
1: Argylle: I did enjoy the movie but when we are talking about a movie that came in way below expectations that was this for me it's too silly at times and has way to much going on
Edit: I should have mentioned I have 2 number 7s because I can't decide which one belongs there
5. Argylle
4. Trap
3. Joker: Folie a Deux
2. The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare
1. Heretic
My pick:
1. Argylle
2. Ghostbusters Frozen Empire
3. IF
4. Joker 2
Great animation and some of the humor works, but overall it belonged on Disney+
Sonic The Hedgehog 3 - It was fine, I just thought the first two were better.
Joker 2 and anytime M Night misses on a good idea, Trap are the biggest “disappointments” for sure
Venom would be if i didn’t already know it’d stink
My biggest disappointments of the year:
3. Moana 2
Expectation: The original is my favorite Disney Princess movie. This one must be awesome.
Reality: Yeah, this was clearly meant for streaming.
2. IF
Expectation: This looks surprisingly creative. Plus I always love seeing Ryan Reynolds.
Reality: I get it, it's for the kids, but they deserve something better.
1. Joker: Folie à Deux
Expectation: I love the first movie and love Joaquin Phoenix. Now the sequel has Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn AND it's a musical? This sounds like my kind of thing!
Reality: Simply bad. Nothing awful, but... just bad.
Nothing awful on Joker 2, everything is awful in that dogcrap esp the ending
@noobmasterruben5167 I mean, it's better than the previous DC movie, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Yes, the ending is bad, but not the worst ending ever.
@blackshadow8702 Id still say its one of the worst endings since It chapter 2 or Terminator 3
My disappointments:
1. The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim
2. Longlegs
3. Challengers
4. Escape from Germany
5. AGGRO DR1FT
6. Rebel Moon
7. Megalopolis
8. Joker: Folie à Deux
9. Trap
10. Hellboy: The Crooked Man
That’s a great list. I shouldn’t find it hard to believe but I’m surprised slightly that Megalopolis wasn’t on more people’s ranking for disappointing movies
The biggest disappointing movies I saw were
1) JOKER: FOLIE a DEUX - Undone everything I liked about the first movie
2) MEGALOPOLIS - Coppola's ambitious passion project was an insanity project.
3) DRIVE-AWAY DOLLS - I have never been disappointed in a movie by the Coen brothers
4) HERE - The gimmick makes all the activity feel emotionally distant or contrived.
Hot take : I liked unfrosted and argylle
I didn’t like Argylle but I thought Unfrosted was over-hated
There were two big reasons I was looking forward to watching Madame Web.
Most disappointing movie this year for me is easily Kung Fu Panda 4
Huh???? Trap is high camp! Don’t try to make it something it never intended to be!
I liked the Garfield 🎥 it wasn’t as bad as people think it is
I liked it also.
I liked it. Not bad for a Garfield movie of all things.
Out of all the 2024 films I saw, there's not a film that I thought was a disappointment nor I hate. If I were to rank the films that I saw it's going to be from good to the best.
Sadly I have to agree with ghostbusters frozen empire being number 10. I still enjoyed it but man it could have been so much better.
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice certainly disappointed me the most cause I had high hopes for it
I’m just glad we haven’t gotten any Batman beyond movies at this point. Sounds like it would end up being corny trash 🗑️ with this age of filmmakers
This year was so long I thought Argylle was 2023
Not a top 10,but here are some movies that were disappointing to me…
The Beekeeper
Godzilla x Kong:The new Empire
Trap
Abigail
I’m surprised the joker too made it number one, you didn’t seem to be as mad about it as everyone else.
My Most Disappointing Movies of 2024
1. Anora
2. Civil War
3. Conclave
4. Monkey Man
Civil war, by A24, my absolute biggest disappointment. It isn't even terrible, there just isn't anything to it
@@pablomoral4751 that’s fair.
Joker 2, venom last dance, kraven the hunter very disappointed in 😢
1 The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim
2 Joker: Folie à Deux
3 Terrifier 3
4 Maxxxine
5 Gladiator II
6 Road House
7 Borderlands
8 Trap
9 Cuckoo
10 Alien: Romulus
When it comes to Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, I have to admit it didn’t quite live up to my expectations. I was hoping it would capture the same magic as the original film. But sadly, it fell short for me. 🤷🏻♂️
For me,the most disappointing was Gladiator 2..I expected a better story, and trailer looked good.Joker 2 is close next, only because the trailer wasn't as good as for Gladiator 2.
That's why haven't done movies many years: Hollywood plum out of ideas, just does 10x repeats and C grade actors - awful beyond words.
My 5 Disappointing Movies of 2024 are
5:The Beekeeper
4:Challenges (Sorry)
3:Madam Web
2:Joker Folie a Deux
1:Kraven the Hunter
I think everything to do with Argylle and the stupid book story is all just marketing
This and 2023 were some of the worst years in cinema history
Joker: Folie a Deux by far for me. Should have stayed a one and done.
Joker 2 is BY FAR the biggest disappointment of the year.
Might as well be one of the worst movies of the last decade. Like Im pretty sure even Space Jam a new legacy and Death note 2017 wasnt this bad
@@noobmasterruben5167Joker 2 is a 7/10 for me. I can name like 30 movies that were worse this year
@@bestevaar7195 sure watever man
It was disheartening to hear all the bar criticism this movie received.
I really enjoyed joker 2, Shame many others didn't
Yup same. Yes it’s a step down from the first one, but it’s still a 7/10 for me. There were a lot more movies this year that are way worse
6:00 UHF CLIP!!!!!
Quiet place day one is soooo good
Awkwafina should be sent to Gitmo. Her voice and presence in anything is a war crime.
My Top 10 Disappointments
1. Joker: Folie a Deux
2. Kung Fu Panda 4
3. Damsel
4. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire
5. Civil War
6. Hit Man
7. Transformers One
8. Strange Darling
9. Venom: The Last Dance
10. Immaculate
A bloody Bollywood action thriller called Fateh comes out on January 10, 2025. 2025 will have many more Indian movies that you will probably enjoy and hopefully review.
Spoiler for Argylle, but the spoiler will give you a better watching experience

If the movie was promoted as a Kingsman spinoff, I feel like more people who would like it would watch it and the people who that's not their thing wouldn't have gone. I loved it because I love that nonsense, but I understand it's not for everyone.
I'm going to do a movie and a show:
Movie: The Fall Guy. I heard that it was this great action/rom-com movie that celebrated stuntmen... and when I watched it, I thought it was pretty dull. Some of the action set pieces were nice and there is some fun to be had with the main characters, but overall a massive disappointment
Show: Arcane season 2.
It seems like Netflix basically offered “you can do whatever you want for the r rated cut, if you do a shorter, mandated, pg 13 version for us”
Snyder went for the option that allowed him to get his vision out there, even if not at the start
The problem is that he agreed to it and went on a press tour saying how great it was. So he made himself the spokesperson for a really questionable plan.
Sad to hear about Joker 2. I was looking forward to it. Will likely never watch it.
I really liked Joker 2.
my most disappointing were megaflopolis and kinds of kindness
My list
Megalopolis
Borderlands
Madame web
I agree on Megalopolis. I’ll say this though I was disappointed in it but I did find to be interesting as I was watching it how bizarre it was
Alien Romulus
I was slightly disappointed with Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. Don’t get me wrong, I still like the movie, but it was one of those films that I expected more from it in terms of world and characters. Also, I wasn’t really a massive fan of Proximus dying because of eagles (hopefully he survived, but we will see), which kind of reminds me of Kang being defeated by ants in Ant-Man 3. Hopefully when the future movies occur, I might have a new perspective on this one
Your shirt is perfect
