Hey! I'm a 23 year old girl from Belgium. I don't usually comment or send messages but I just wanted to grab a chance to tell you guys: you have no doubt had a big impact on my life. I've been in a difficult place mentally, lots of worries in the family (health-wise) and members I need to care for. All whilst struggling myself with a lot of stress, self insecurity since high school, and having a rare condition with my blood vessels. I'm keeping most of it to myself. But then I started watching you both years ago when I was about 16, and it's been such a journey and support for me. You guys make the most unique videos on youtube just by staying true to yourselves. You're not just two crazy hyped up influencers shouting and stuffing your faces or doing crazy challenges or those weird tiktok-type clickbait videos to rank up views. Your content is fun, genuine, authentic and different and relaxing to watch, like hanging out with 2 old friends, who have grown so much in their quality and videos and yet always remembered what their channel and food and life should be all about. Fun and enjoying it. A good time, but all while staying realistic in everything. Your personalities are awesome and faithful. Your vids cheer me up so much after another exhausting day. Know that what you two do, goes beyond just entertaining some weirdos on the internet. To me it has meant so much more. Keep up the vids. Big love and sending hugs from Belgium, and enjoy your travels! X
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a beautiful comment. We are genuinely honored to be part of your life. That you take time to watch our videos is so meaningful. I’m sorry your family is going through difficult times with their health. You can always feel comfortable coming here and leaving comments. We have such a great community. I feel like I know so many people personally through their comments. They are caring and knowledgeable as well. So, there’s always a shoulder to lean on. 💗💗
What an incredibly kind comment to leave & I agree entirely. Tami & Kevin are like friends you just haven't met yet. I hope you and your familys health improves 🩷🙏
They are amazing and I've been watching them for at least 7 years by now, if not 8 or 9. They are so happy, friendly and just overall amazing to listen to. Tami & Kevin are legit the friends you want in life lol. I hope your health issues improve and that everything in life will be good once again for you ❤ You sound like an amazing person and from a fellow "EU'er" , I give you virtual hugs from Denmark.
Can i just send you some love and positivety from the UK? I also love watching and listening to both Tami and Kevin. I`ve cared for my elderly mum for several years ,so know just how stressful that can be.Just over 2 months ago we lost her ,and i couldn`t sleep.Watching these videos also helped keep me going and helped me through the long nights and sad days. You must be a lovely person to want to look after your loved ones ,it`s not easy when you care for those you care most about. I wish you a happy healthy future and may you now find your happy place.XO
I enjoy the recaps and totally agree about seatbelts and a sun visor needed in golf carts for safety. Off topic, but I just adore your blouse it is so pretty!
So crazy and wonderful to have different things I follow overlap! 😊My husband and I have been looking at The Villages, doing a lifestyle visit and trying to imagine retired life there AND we follow and love all your reviews and content!
I am not a good passenger or flyer, but it does make a difference when you have someone interesting and entertaining to talk to. It looks like a pretty place and the house is very nice. Can't wait to see what you get up to next
This is so awesome - can't thank you enough for doing this. I watched the whole video yesterday and was pretty fascinated by the whole experience. Somewhere during the pandemic, I did the same as Kevin - inquiring about The Villages - and they sent me some info and I signed up for emails. I was so curious about this. I cannot wait until your last reveal of all the prices! My suggestions: they should probably provide at least a case of water if the fridge doesn't have a water/ice maker. I don't expect them to provide food, but it would be a nice welcome to have water there. On the golf carts, they absolutely should have seatbelts. I loved watching you guys go, but was scared for you actually. I think they should have some sort of siding for extra protection. I imagine for older people, it might be too much to step up/into the cart that way, but it might protect you from flying out! My brother's friend and his wife have a place in The Villages. Now I am intrigued by the place. I am not quite there yet (56), but probably to age where I am considering something like that - especially if I had a golf cart to go around in. heheheh Looking forward to all of your videos, and I am wishing you a wonderful and safe time. Oh one last thing: Atlanta - Hartsfield is now considered the busiest airport in the US, so maybe next trip (if this interests you and isn't too expensive), a bit longer layover in Atlanta? Any busy airports or ones known to have issues (or big airports) I always look for extra layovers - I would rather just look around or relax or listen to my ipod or whatever, than the stress of close or missed connections. Especially Atlanta, Chicago, NYC, Houston/Dallas, Detroit, FtL/Miami, etc.
Food tours are very popular just a bit expensive. What we normally do is search on RUclips for a food tour of the city, they talk about where they go and we do our own version of what interests us. My Google maps before we travel is full of food places to try in a case we’re in the area. Looking forward to tomorrow’s videos.
The Circle Tour we took in Hawaii was a food tour. It was fun trying things that aren’t common here. That’s smart to find out where their tours go & then go on your own to the places that interest you. That’s a smart idea!
Love hearing about your trip to Florida. It sounds wonderful so far.. I love how the restaurants are so close together. I think my husband and i would love it there 👍 I bet you could rent a car too ? If you wanted to! The house is so pretty . Can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip 👍
You can rent a car. The reason we didn’t is because it was going to be $800 for the week. That’s through a regular car rental company. For that price, we were good with the golf cart 😄
@TamiDunn Oh, I agree. I think we would love the golf cart! I was just thinking if you wanted to explore a little, you know. 800.00 is a lot for a week .
"I don't see myself as adult as I am ok?" I swear Tami you should write a book eith sll these funny things you say! 😊 Thanks for the update cant wait to see how Day 2 went! Oh one other thing I don't know if you have iPhone or Android but I know on my Android I downloaded an app that tells what speed you are doing no matter what vehicle you are in or if you were driving or a passenger. It is really cool you can even lay it down in the dash and especially at night you can see what the speed is when it shows the writing backwards on the screen and right ways on your windshield!
Interesting you mention the golf cart, a guy I graduated with died a week ago in a golf cart accident. Seems like something that you wouldn't think could happen, but it can. I always have felt completely safe on them and never thought about it, but now I think seatbelts would be a good idea.
Firstly, I am so sorry for your loss. It’s horrible. Secondly, they have had their share of deaths in The Villages because golf carts have overturned or they were drunk driving. Some people drive way too fast.
Lovely hearing about your vacation I’m excited to see the villages. When are you doing back to Disney? I want to go back now and take Amelia but I don’t want to wait till she’s like 2 or 3
Good first day wrap up. I'd say I'm more of a "gate-kept" people person... 😂I'm someone who seems very aloof and unsociable at first, but bring up the right topic and I'll light right up and talk nonstop.
Palm Springs in California is similar to the Villages with golf carts. They are very golf cart friendly. I don’t think they have seatbelts in Palm Springs either
I didn’t. It wouldn’t surprise me though if he wasn’t someone famous and I had no clue. He’s a tennis pro who moved to Orlando. He said his son works at Disney. He was so interesting and had so many experiences.
I enjoy meeting people like that. I love to hear other people’s travels. Do you have to be looking to make The Villages a home to do a lifestyle visit or can you just want to vacay there? Is there an age limit? My mom and stepdads golf cart has lap belts which I like. I think when you’re on a road with cars it would be a great safety measure. Looking forward to Day 2
Haha, you are like me. You travel at the butt crack of dawn 🤣 My mother hates me for that... I legit have to leave the apartment at 4:30 am to make it to the Airport for my flight at around 7 am and my day "ends" when I land in Atlanta at 20 pm... that's 2 am here LOL. The taxi way at Atlanta is ridiculous... I was stuck on there for an hour, back in 2022, due to congestion and when we FINALLY could get to the gate... it took an extra 20 mins 😵💫
Tammy and Kevin hope youse are having a great time and hopefully the weather is good all week. I have watched the videos when they talked about the prices of the homes in the villages and I think they run about 500,000 they’re not cheap and I wonder what the taxes are out there I’m sure it’s expensive. I have a friend that lives in Florida in Daytona and it’s very expensive. Thank you for the great review.
There is a home for sale right now for $85,000. Home are available for every budget. You can get cheaper homes or home for millions of dollars. The great thing is there is something for everyone.
Curious, do you remember the name of your sales guy at the Villages? I'm enjoying your life style visit experience videos. We are hoping to do one as well. Thanks!
There's a Villages GPS app that includes golf cart paths that may be helpful. I completely agree with you about the seat belts. They aren't even expensive.
Looking forward to these videos. You don’t have to register or insure a golf cart unless it’s been modified for road speeds, so I’m guessing that’s why he didn’t check your information. My neighborhood has 10 year olds driving to the pool (not mine…remember I’m the mean mom)and they are certainly not licensed or insured
Hi Tami and Kevin l would like to think that l am a people person. It all depends l can chatter all day to someone but if l was tryerd l would definitely not speak my Husband is definitely a people person he will talk to anyone. I am loving the update and hope you are having a great time thank you so much for sharing God's blessing to all your family x ❤
Oh Tami ,forgive me if i`ve forgotten ,but did you guys watch "somebody feed Phil" (from everybody loves Raymond ,one of my all time favourite shows ,even today:)?? He travels around tasting the cuisines from each country. My daughter got me hooked and i know you`d love it too (you probably do:) xxx
Yes I agree about the seatbelts I’ve only driven one 1x in Seneca Golf Course as a 20 something year old I was horrible at it then so I can only imagine now 😂 Love hearing about your adventures.❤❤

What a lovely comment and I'm sure most of us feel the same way. Hope things improve with the stresses you're facing and all turns out for the best.

I LOVE that you’ve done this. I’ve been very interested in the Villages for years. Have fun!🎉
I hope you enjoy the videos 😃
Looking forward to day 2. Thanks so much for sharing your experiences with us.
Thank you! It will be posted tomorrow 😃
I’m a people person too, Tami. I’m naturally curious about people and I love to talk with strangers and find out about their lives and experiences.
Exactly! He had so many wonderful experiences.
I enjoy the recaps and totally agree about seatbelts and a sun visor needed in golf carts for safety. Off topic, but I just adore your blouse it is so pretty!
Thank you, Abby! 😃
Loved the recap videos just as much as the actual vlog visit! By the way Tami, your channel has reached over 85 million views!
Thank you! I had no idea.
That's insane!
So crazy and wonderful to have different things I follow overlap! 😊My husband and I have been looking at The Villages, doing a lifestyle visit and trying to imagine retired life there AND we follow and love all your reviews and content!
Oh wow! I really hope you enjoy the videos 😃
Yall are good couples u guys are always happy 😊♥️

We will definitely try to have a longer layover next time. Atlanta has gotten busier and busier with each trip.
@@TamiDunn 🙂 I just have had bad experiences there. I hope yours gets better and better!

Good first day wrap up.

While you’re down there, I highly recommend Yahala Bakery (it’s a German bakery) in Howey in the Hills!
We are home now, but I’ll try to remember this for our next visit!
Palm Springs in California is similar to the Villages with golf carts. They are very golf cart friendly. I don’t think they have seatbelts in Palm Springs either

I completely agree with you about the seat belts. They aren't even expensive.
We downloaded two different apps 😃 Thank you!
Max legal speed on a golf cart is 20 MPH, unless it is a street legal golf car, then 25mph.
Thank you!
Looking forward to these videos. You don’t have to register or insure a golf cart unless it’s been modified for road speeds, so I’m guessing that’s why he didn’t check your information. Hey tami where is the best way to ask questions.youtube or Instagram, Facebook?
If it's a question about The Villages, ask here and we will try to answer during our wrap-up video at the very end of the trip :)
