That whole sequence, where Victor is pissing himself laughing at what he is listening to on the headphones whilst Mrs. Warboys recounts her tale of woe and considered suicide to Margaret, is absolute comedy genius.
I don't understand half of what you say but that makes me laugh, then you start laughing and it cracks me up even more 😂 I'm really pleased you're enjoying One Foot in the Grave, it's one of my favourites.
I really felt for Jean, but Victor's comment at the end was spot on. Sometimes, you just want someone to say "yeah, life is often a bag of sh*t, and then it gets worse" rather than "cheer up, it's not so bad". And then getting drenched by the sprinklers probably helped too. Pathetic fallacy, I think it's called.
Yeah he took early retirement, a recorded voice in a box stole his security job lmao so i Guess he got a little lollipop man job to pass the time and keep himself (and margaret) sane. I think in a previous episode he stayed at home all day for Dury service and he was moping about looking for things to do so guess he wasn't a fan of doing nothing even with his hobbies
After a tough morning at work this has really cheered me up over lunch..."witless woman". I forgot how it was before political nonsense and snowflakes took over 🙂
RIP Mrs Warboys who died today aged 97
Love the moment with Victor on the headphones, so funny ha ha

“Morning Mr Meldrew ! Keeping your bowels open?”

What's funny is I'm not sure many people realise he's listening to the Spam sketch from Monty Python's flying circus😅
LOL that was hilarious =]
Angus Deayton is brilliant in this.

The episode you are talking about with the mole and eating the chocolate was on TV this afternoon love it
The job he is doing we call a “lollipop man/lady” in the U.K. cos the stick they use is shaped like a lollipop
the scraps he gets into, glad I wasn't their next door neighbour.
in england we call crossing guards lollipop men
I tell you what, this is honestly the best thing to watch high ever!
Agreed =]

Victor's neighbours are younger versions of him and Margaret
Josh, where did you get the Welsh flag from on your wall behind you? Just wondering 🏴

Dude you should watch Jonathon Creek, same writer as this, not technically a comedy more of a murder mystery show but really good.
I have that on my list bud =]
