He’s honestly the greatest out of the newer generation of ‘tractors. The content/commentary is reminiscent of Metokur, and that effortless flow like Point & Shoot.. Golden Channel, surely will be a mainstay in this community.

I genuinely think this is the curated, meaningful content his fans want. His fan base is a hundred or so people with 80% of the support coming from half a dozen whales. The parasocial boost you get from a "famous" vintage style RUclipsr to interact with you every day is what DSP offers.

The weird cycle of validation Phil needs to change anything is astounding. Literally tells us "I'm getting this feedback for things I need to change." Reminds us that he's /oh so open to hearing feedback and taking it to heart/ for the 8th time in a stream. And finally goes "by the way if this is a change you want me to make you have to tell me", despite his original reason for bringing it up ever is that people told him? It doesn't make any sense ESPECIALLY when he is constant in acknowledging he can't please all members. I'm sure it's just a means to stall his pre-stream and put this on his wall of "being an interactive streamer" but its so annoying. I know his back is fucked up but he could use his spine every once in a while aside from throwing a lolcow fit and pretending to dunk da trollz dood.

My favorite part of the Title Saga was when someone suggested he but the initials of the game title (ie:BG3) and he said he would never do that because he wouldnt be able to tell what the game title was if he was looking it up. Dud ignored the existence of playlists and thumbnails to save his ability to copypasta his titles.

Now, my main comment. Once again, you are 100% right. I do this on my thumbnails for my Titanic model. I show what the stock build looks like at the end of the packs. But, because I do mods to mine, it looks different enough that the thumbnail doesn't spoil the whole video. So Phil could definitely do the same thing on his videos.
But, as is always the case with Phil, as we just saw with his Red Dead Throwback video, it's minimum work and effort for maximum profit, always.
Thought of this after the above. I'm not too familiar with BG3, but it sounds like your character's appearance changes based on your equipment. If that's the case, then Phil could just take a picture of his character at a certain point of the gameplay and use THAT as the thumbnail. That way, the thumbnails would show his character's progression throughout the game. THAT would be effective.
But again, least amount of work possible.

Life is a forever changing thing and you just keep making adjustments to adjust to the changes of the constant and ever moving world around you. If you stop you get left behind. DSP is making content like it’s 2007 and wonder why it’s not working. Remember when video games used to boast how many hours of content there was? It was quantity over quality.

Phil is like the owners that you'd see on Kitchen Nightmares. Say he runs, oh I dunno, a sandwich shop. The same 3 people come to eat once a week, he can't get new business, he's rude to the staff, he hates his community, and thinks everyone is out to get him.
