I condone þis channel, I commend þe effort, I applaud þe vision! As I happened to develop a standardized German Rune writing tweaked out of þe elder fuþark, to reclaim our native scripts. It might also be an idea to contemplate to create a cursive and a blackletter font for Runes. "Cursive" to convince people, who prefer to write fast; Blackletter for people þat like to look at beauty upon gazing at þe script!
@@ericromano7703 With the version 6 updates, you can write as you speak or choose to defer to how you want your readers to hear you. The system is designed to allow flexibility if desired but to be robust enough to enable understanding across dialects. This video is old but we're leaving it up for now because it's still a pretty accurate guide to get you started while we make updated videos.
@@ericromano7703 What kind of background are you coming from? At the moment, the latest videos are the most accurate but they're also targeted at the academically minded viewers who have offered critical feedback over the past few years. If you're not academically minded and just want to learn, then you have 2 options, either: 1) Watch the current available Touchstone videos about consonants. They're over 90% accurate and will give you a good start. But the vowels in those videos are hit and miss. Or, 2) Wait for the updated videos to be released to give you a clear picture without you needing to relearn anything later. I'm hoping they'll be out by new year but it'll depend on how much other work I have.
@@LearnRunes I think I would prefer to come at it from an academic perspective. I'd rather go the harder but better route, if that makes sense. Thank you! I look forward to this.
When this channel started the only microphone we had was terrible. The newer videos are more frequently voiced by me but the others may still contribute as they always have.
This video is old. Watch the new series instead: ruclips.net/p/PLp5ecI2jS7lYM3XgG3ZVfVVruuO0ubcHa

Þanks for supporting the channel.
Great video, helping me with my quest to learn more about Runes. The search will continue, thanks to your help.
@@joebalabuszko8863 Thanks. Please be aware this video is outdated but most of what it says is still correct so we've left it up for now.
You know, I wanted to learn the write as you speak method, as it seemed more appropriate. But also I can't spell, so that's perfect.

@@LearnRunes I took a gander through your catalog last night, but do you have a specific video you recommend starting out with?
