y'all don't understand, although this fight was short, it's started inside Nolans house. Words spoken between a Psychopath/Sociopath and a Malignant Narcissist. That talk was my favorite part. Homelander trying his best to psych Nolan out.
@@tythedetailer3650 Really? I never got that impression from him. He's proud of being a Viltrumite, but narcissism was never really a key part of his character to me.
Probably the easiest Death Battle to predict. Omni-Man has actual fighting skills and is stronger. Homelander is just a bully with super powers, he never trains to fight and is kind of lazy.
Lazy? No. Homelander works hard to keep up his image, the mental restraint he showed against that screaming crowd of morons? Yeah, the laser eyes in that scene was in his head, he was fantasizing about it. Homelander is a victim of Vought, just like most other of the supers under their employment.
he relies too much on his power but the only reason he does that is because his powers are op for the verse he is in and he thinks that no one can step up to him, so he doesn't train
Yeah, I don't think anyone was picking Homelander for this one. At least, nobody who saw Invincible. Omniman stopped a meteor the size of Texas, while Homelander couldn't even lift a plane that was crashing.
@@locusxe1411 that’s a valid excuse tho he would’ve crashed right through the shit if he tried it’s not like he couldn’t either Since he’s been shown to throw jets with one hanf

There's a great line from Godzilla: Final Wars that I think applies here "Rule with power alone and you will eventually lose to an even greater power" I'm paraphrasing but Homelander didn't know what he was getting himself into The music was so sick 🦖
Think about how fast the initial volley was. He hit him, pummeled him and threw him through the table fast enough that the cocoa he'd knocked into the air hadn't fallen yet.
Let alone someone outright superior to him. Homelander has little to no real combat training, so he's little more than a glorified bully with superpowers. Meanwhile, Omni-Man is not only a trained fighter, but a veteran of multiple planetary conquests. That distinction alone would have ensured that Homelander was screwed. And Omni-Man wouldn't be the sort to hold back or show mercy that Homelander could try to exploit either. Even someone like General Zod or Superboy would very likely wipe the floor with Homelander.
@@gamester512 "Even someone like General Zod or Superboy would likely mop the floor." No both of them would be even worse stomps then Omni Man already is.
That little line from Omni man "you gotta turn with the punch" shows the massive skill/experience gap. I wish they didn't avoid spoilers because if you know anything past the show, you'll know Nolan loves Debby and Mark. Making that opening threat all the more meaningful
One thing is certain. If this does happen, pretty sure Cecil Stedman's just gunna be watching the whole thing.....and then immediately goes to destroy Vought from the inside out....give it about.....a few months

A man who never had the chance to become anything more then a broken person. the fight animation was just as long as the standard DB length, which is super impressive in itself bc hand-drawn requires so much more work than 2d or even 3d animation. it did however actually spend proper time setting up the scenario instead of just going straight to fighting, bc that's just as important. My best guess would be that's why it felt short, bc it really wasn't. Also like, a lot of other people have come up with odd complaints about this matchup just bc it's onesided. It's not like the show is called Death Debate lol, that aspect is just a small part of the whole. What kind of story you can tell by analyzing the characters next to each other and how you can creatively write a fight between them is far more important. Even if it was an actual problem, DB confirmed this was the biggest fan request out of all the requests they had received, so they'd be stupid not to do it anyway. And hell, the last episode before this one was genuinely a lot more onesided than this. Thor was several quadrillion times faster, and with the Godblast he was quite literally infinitely stronger.
I choose to believe the Debbie in the house was a body double. Cecil knew Homelander was gonna be salty and TPed her out while leaving a corpse or some other double to let Homey think he killed her.
they must have stopped testing on homelander before making the big irl thermonuclear bombs, because if soldier boy can bruise him with a punch without creating a kilometre diameter shockwave, then any nuke that doesn’t kill him is WEAK
I don't know sh*t about either one of these dudes but, I can tell both of them are the types to abuse their power and are a**holes. Anyway, I somehow knew Omniman would stomp Homelander
Homelander does it because he wants to and doesn’t care about anything but adoration. Omni-Man does it for the sake of what is effectively nationalism. He performs acts of subterfuge and extremist terrorism for the sake of his home world expanding its empire. He’s a calculated agent of his empire’s government.
About the Planet Feat it’s talking about the Comic where him Mark and a Character we’ll see later in The Show named Conquest All Join together and flew through a planet which I’m pretty sure destroyed it so if anything he participated in destroying a planet
