  • C.S. Lewis' one rule about money...
I studied everything CS Lewis said about money. Because, I love the guy. He's such a brilliant thinker. I wondered, what are his conclusions when it comes down to money?
And ultimately what he said about giving is one biggest conclusion about giving in terms of doing it right, is that you need to be uncomfortable with your giving. And not necessarily every particular thing, but in general.
As believers, we can't get to a place where we're comfortable.
When you're talking about high income earners where they tithe, they're like "I've reach the finish line." And it's quite possible that God might have something that He wants to do with that because again, it's not yours. You're just managing money for Him.
To get to that point and be like, "I'm a high income earner I've reached the finish line and I'm never going to give past 10%." That's just getting comfortable, and I think God's stretching us all of us beyond that.

Basically, if you can live comfortably and be chill giving a certain amount of money to a church, you’re wrong! Give them even MORE money!
