I’m definitely going to try this. I bought a set if rolled hem feet but I can’t figure out how to thread the fabric through them! This seems much easier to set up. Will test it soon! Thanks!
I was just thinking the same thing, I have so many and I end up, at least a little bit, rolling it and pinning before I use the foot. This may be a good solution for me
You are most likely creasing the card folds over and/or holding and pressing it all down as you sew it through much too tightly..... so that the fabric can't freely move thru it as the feed dogs in your machine grab the fabric and try to move it along under the presserfoot as you're sewing. Either That- Or you aren't leaving enough fabric (at least 5/8"-1/2" or so) at the end of the card under the presserfoot after you iron over the hem for the needle & feed dogs to then be able to "grip" on to it in order to get the fabric all started going through the folded over card and continue to feed it through as you sew. 🤷♂️
Iron it to "set in" the new hem first.... makes it soooo much easier for the feeddogs in your machine to then be able to "grip" on to the fabric so much easier as it passes through under the presserfoot if the new hem is "set in place" first by ironing over it before you try to sew it all up. 🤷♂️
No, it won’t. Or at least it didn’t work for me. I like the traditional rolled hem method. You have to go over the seam a few times so it takes longer but it’s worth it
Just used this hack and it works great especially if your a beginner or have trouble with heming
I just tried this and it works better than my actual rolled hem foot! Thank you.🥰
I hate having to roll hems, this is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much!
I'm a beginner, the other day I had to hem 6 meters of fabric and this trick saved my life!
I love this ingenious idea! Thanks so much!🎉
Used this hack. It saved the day!
Game changer! 1000 thanks for this helpful hack. I'll never be the same!

Helpful I wish I had this video with part 1 as it didn't give the how to and I spent a long time figuring it out. Put them together please😊
I have every sized rolled hemming presser feet, and I can't ever get them to work! I swear, this looks easier.... I'm about to go try it lol
How was it?

Will be trying this. Thank you!
Nice work. I love it very much ❤❤❤
Thaaaank youuuu
Saves to try this out
Thank you
Will this work for having a huge circle?
Every time I try it, the fabric gets stuck in cardboard and doesn’t move while sewing, what should I do?

Does not work on curves!
It doesn’t work on the fabric I’m using it’s a nightmare.
It takes patience and practice. Don't give up
I can’t get my fabric to stay in place
Iron it to "set in" the new hem first....

Will this work on a curve? I’m going to attempt a full circle skirt soon
Same question
