Story of almost all the Vietnamese co workers I had at a facotry in Santa Ana, CA. However...what was unique about them is the stigma of DIVORCE, so once married, they were mostly stuck. Even if two of them cheated...and two others tried to attempt it....sad world.

@@saranemcova5448 The best (or worst depending on how you see it) is it's not just the guilt. They know each other from a long time, probably got most of their friends in common. If she dumps her after the surgery, she probably loses them as well. Of course, at some point, it becomes socially acceptable to leave her again, but plenty of things can happen in the meantime.

She'd stay bot because of guilt, she'd stay because she'd be socially destroyed once words got out that she broke up with the woman who literally saved her life. That relationship didn't get saved, it got extended by about 2 years.
Even better, if the gf hadn't purchased the dog from that kennel, she wouldn't have contracted plague and lost her own liver. Manipulating her emotions/guilt is the sole reason for the entire situation. I think she's a psychopath or sociopath.

it always bugged me that they identified it as the black plague by drawing black fluid from the pustule when that's not why it was called the black plague. it got its name from one of the last symptoms of the disease: multiorgan failure leading to septicemia and the associated necrosis. it's the same symptom anyone who loses tissue to frostbite has if you want to see real life examples of what that might look like
So is the colour of the fluid still black in other types of plague?

You’re allowed to want to end a relationship. If you’re not happy and fulfilled anymore, you just aren’t. There’s no point in staying with someone just because they want you to. Donor GF is the toxic one here. Toxic and delusional. I give it a year before the gf leaves. It’ll be so much worse knowing that you even donated an organ to your partner and they still didn’t stay.

True story: my mom was an ER nurse, on an Indian reservation in AZ, and diagnosed a patient with the plague. The doc was surprised! Mom does a lot of reading and I don’t remember exactly what it was that made her think of it. Pretty cool.

Literally just watched this episode last night!
I like Cameron's character a lot. She's flawed like everyone else and that's why she's so interesting. I recently rewatched the entire series and I kept thinking how admirable it was that she always stuck to her values, not letting others affect her theory about people being kind.
Didn't like her breakup with Chase. His decision... Didn't make him a bad person. Plus, it was an edge case.
And that’s what House likes. People sticking up for what they believe even if someone else thinks they are wrong.

Why do so many people think that someone is running this channel (or the Office channel, or the Parks & Rec channel, or L&O, etc.) as some sort of favor/labor of love?
These are the official channels of the shows - they're being run by some PA or social media scrub that's getting paid peanuts and doing this in hopes they'll eventually get to do some "real work in the industry."
And still, we praise that anonymous starving intern for the job they're doing. It may pay peanuts but it's never thankless.
