Hey everyone! I hope you all enjoyed this video. Just wanted to point out that there were two items I didn’t talk about, the sweet potato tortilla chips ($2.29) and the almond chai latte ($2.99). The reason being that after I did the video I realized both were over $2 on the receipt but were mis marked at the store.
Thank you, I really appreciate that. For some reason RUclips flagged this video as being "inappropriate" so they blocked ads. I could cry because I am spending so much money out of pocket to make these video and this video will be one of my more popular ones.
Katie Hespe for corn tortillas they are to be cooked before you eat them heat a pan up the place in pan cook on 1st side about 2 mins then other side it makes them more flexable
Great video thanks! I’m always laser focused in Trader Joe’s 🤣 this inspires me to maybe explore a bit more. Do you mind sharing what state you’re in? I’m in WA and I haven’t seen stuff that cheap here in a while!
First time I have seen your videos. I hope you will allow an old 65 year old grandma to give you a tip. When I buy the tomato paste, if I’m not going to use it before it expires. I squeeze about 1 Tablespoon into a snack size ziplock bag and freeze it. Then when your recipe calls for 1-2 T of tomato paste I just pull out the bags I need, defrost and wala tomato paste.
You do the best Trader Joe’s hauls Katie. I especially loved this one with everything under $2.00. I’m so excited to try some of things that you showed on your video and i loved your snack ideas! Have a wonderful day Katie!😘
Ohhhhh I love the idea of the $2 and under items. Great concept. Maybe you could do other favorites from each section of the store in a future video series (for example, produce, dairy, frozen, beverages, dried fruits & nuts, etc.). Can you do a cookie video where you make a pizza using the pizza dough you showed in this video? Love the soft & juicy mango!!! The traditional marinara sauce is one of our favorites because it is lower in calories than the others. We enjoy the garlic hummus...mmmm. I saw lots of people buying the waffle cones on my last TJ visit. :o) Awesome haul as always!!! :o)
I think breaking it up by sections would be much easier actually. There is just so much stuff to choose from, that I think grouping it would make it more refined. Yes, I have an idea for that dough and its delicious!
What a great idea for a video! I love new ideas for meals from TJ's (and all for less than $2.00 each)! Those sweet potato fries look delicious and I will be trying the heart of palms! Thank you Katie!
Coconut yogurt- YES!!!!!! I had no clue they carry that now! Love your salad ideas with beans, etc... Now I am craving bagels!!!! Thanks Katie- love your hauls and recipes.
Hey! I love these, and look at them before I go shopping each week. It would actually be great if you could mention the produce you get too. There's no need to explain each item in detail of course, unless it's a really cool product. Also it's great that you include each item's price, so convenient! Thanks for the great content
OMG that chipotle napkin reference! LOL How did you know? Awesome! I did not know you could freeze the pizza dough! My tomato paste lasts forever. In the tube doesn’t really go bad as it does in the can!
If you haven't tried it yet, you should try the herb pizza dough from TJ's. It's my favorite and I've gotten my cousin hooked on it too. Thanks for all of the good suggestions! I'll have to look for the dried fruit bar next time I go. I don't remember seeing them. The just fruit bars are good and I believe they're 99 cents each.
Great video! I enjoy all of your Trader Joe's hauls and love finding new items to buy and try! Yet again, I added several items to my shopping list, such as the salad dressing and the rainbow baby carrots. Love your shirt, too!
Hi! Just got back from TJ. and first I want to send my thoughts and prayers to your TJ that just went through the sad occurrence ! My heart is broken for everyone ❤️🙏. I was lucky to get a Everything But The Bagel seasoning. Our store actually was well stocked. I could have gone more crazy in finding so many wonderful things but had to control myself this go round! As always I loooove your channel and these TJ hauls! ❤️😋
Thank you for the prayers and well wishes ❤️ I'm with you on the self control lol. Now that I am doing these hauls I find my cabinets and refrigerator are overflowing 😂
also, those baby bananas are fantastic! I've also tried the dried banana slices (dunno if they still have those) but they were good. Would love to maybe chop up some of those baby bananas and toss them in a banana bread recipe.
The tomato paste freezes well. I squeeze by the tablespoon on parchment (on top of sheet pan) and freeze, once frozen hard I pop in freezer bag. I just pop then out as needed. I have done in a large container before too but I never need more than a tablespoon or so.
Thank you for your videos. I have learned about so many new TJ products from watching you, and my husband and sons love what I’m bringing home. Took hubby in there last weekend and he picked out loads of stuff to try. 👍🏻👏🏻🎉
Yay! Love this! I’ve been trying out things that I never would have known about if it weren’t for your videos! This week I was browsing and I picked up the banana bread and am in love
Katie, thank you....heading to TJ'S tomorrow morning for my weekly haul. Thanks for highlighting some new, exciting items to try ! Hope you and your family have a wonderful week ahead!!
Wow, this is a great haul! I just added 14 items to my shopping list, that are new to me. And... the waffle cones are everything! Can't wait to pair it with TJ's ice cream. 😊 What a great concept for $2 finds, and such an awesome haul and video, Katie! Thank you! 😃
If you don't use all the tomato paste in your recipe, you can squeeze it out into a container and freeze it. That's a really good price for that paste. I've been eyeing those baked beans in the store, and will have to pick those up next time.
Great tip, Janel! To make it even easier, I freeze leftover tomato paste in an ice cube tray. Once frozen, I pop the cubes into a ziplock bag. This way I can just take out what I need for a recipe.
Katie you got me hooked on those Olive Oil Kettle Chips. I try not to buy them very often unless I have Weight Watcher points to spare. But when I do they are so worth it.
I think Weight Watchers may be a little bit obsolete at this point, as is nutrisystem. If you're eating mostly or just about all whole foods, you're probably doing ok...
This is a great idea!! Many times I buy just for myself instead of whole family and cheap snacks/ addins are a serious plus! I would also advise while describing items to distinguish between milk chocolate and dark chocolate.. many people I know including myself only eat dark chocolate related items... a lot of people are getting away from sugar. thanks
Katie, I adore your videos and binge watched all your hauls lol! Went to my local TJ’s in Yorba Linda and was sad to find out the three shrimp tacos (frozen) are discontinued 😣 I still managed to spend $90 though lol
I loved this haul! It was nice to see all the items you could get that are under $2. What are your recommendations for salsas that do have some spice? I also like chunky and spicy, so I'd love to hear your thoughts!
My favorite is the Chunky Salsa (yes that's what it's called 😂). It's still not terribly spicy but I love that I can bite into a tomato or an onion still intact.
Love the mint coins soooo much! I was at TJ today, but passed on them. I got very cherry plums instead. Soooo good, I grabbed four before they are gone for good 😔
I love the Mango too but I get the Just Mango the soft and juicy mango is too sweet for me. So many good things I want to try now! Mostly the junk food items. 😆
Such a nice haul. I’m heading to Trader Joe’s in a few minutes and I saw a few things I want 😍 Thanks for sharing.....Hugs, Dolores.....The Baking Diva 😘
Katie love your videos! Have you tried the Seafood Cocktail Sauce? It's delicious! I used to buy the Crosse and Blackwell brand and add fresh horseradish to it. This TJ sauce you don't have to add anything. It is so good and under $2 :)
I have not tried the Seafood sauce, but it's because I don't eat fish. I was tempted to include it in this haul, but then I realized it might never be used in my house, as my husband doesn't really eat much fish. I'm glad to hear it's so tasty, I may have to include it down the road anyway.
Hey Katie!!! Loved this video...just wanted to say ive been subscribed to you since before you had 500 subs AND im from Toronto, Canada where there is no Trader Joe's, nor have I ever been to one, but i love your videos that much! Your voice is also calming to listen to ahaha...love these videos! thanks for sharing
Fantastic idea for a themed haul. As always, great job and thank you! Love almost all of your choices and I agree, the polenta is fantastic. Such a convenience to have it in the pantry. I dont care, i would have paid more. Now i am paying $6 a jar for a different brand at a different store that i dont like as much. Rant over, Ha, who knew i took my curry sauces so seriously, lol. ETA, i love the tubes of tomato pastefor the same reason you do. Tastes great and keeps great, too.
Thank you for informing me of this, I hadn’t heard that. It is very common for TJ’s to drop a brand if they raise the prices. Katie Hespe thanks for the info about the baby bananas. I havent purchased them and sweet lover that i am, now i am going to give those funny little things a try. :D
Honestly we don't have many spicy salsa's, but if you want some real heat check out the ghost pepper salsa that is refrigerated. It has great flavor and is a little too spicy for me.
Katie Hespe ok So we made turkey burritos and bought 2 refrigerator Salsas and the Hot goats one was HOT!! and the mild could be our new family favorite!! And thT says a lot since we eat a lot of Salsa
Nice video thanks for the tip it’s funny I just went to Trader Joe’s and I seen those waffle Combs And we into thousand 19 and your videos from 2018 is still Selling
what do you normally use the everything bagel seasoning for? i have a jar of it, but haven’t used much of it bc all i use it on is salads, chinese food, and avocado toast
Oh avocado toast sounds amazing with the bagel seasoning. Honestly, I haven't even tried it yet, but my plan is to use it on the new everything bagels we just got in...I know boring. Customers tell me they literally put it on everything though, from seasoning tuna to adding it on wraps or rice.
Katie Hespe Thank you. I never fully walk down that aisle in store( has pet food, soda and paper products... although I should have figured for the vitamins are there. Pure Protein did away with the 23g protein shake, and now it's 30g(stores haven't caught up in stocking I guess)!so I had to get Premiere Protein and they are not as thick. I'll be looking this weekend, so thanks again 😀
Item... Idem... 😁 Yay for the chocolate banana thingy! Mac and cheese = 👎 Napkins, meh... Yay for the dark chocolate mints! Yay for the fruit bars! Yay for the soaps! Yeah, sweet potato fries, yeah... (I don't drink coffee) I'm not really into that coconut/dairy stuff... English muffins, sure... Yay for the peanut butter cups! (Never apologize for chocolate or peanut butter, just watch the stuff that is more sugary, of course...) Yay for bagels... Pizza dough, sure... (I'm noticing some trends here...) Yay for the Heart of Palm medallions... Yay for the veggies! Yay for the garbanzo beans! Yay for the salad dressing! Steel cut oatmeal = meh... Yay for the seasoning blend! Yay for the shallots! (I understand about the not showing produce thing) Yay for the condiments! I've tried polenta... Not really a big fan, but its "ok". A bit like the corn version of grits... Gnocchi, yes... Tikka veggies, yes... Tapenade, yes... Salsa, yes... Yay for the black beans! Yay for the tortillas! Yay for the taco seasoning mix! Yay for the giant baked beans! I don't do cheese... That soft/juicy mango = 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 Dried bananas = 👍 Strawberry bars = Yes! Pasta, yes... Tomato/basil marinara, check... Traditional marinara, yes... Rice orzo pilaf = YES!!! Couscous, yep... No cheese... (I don't do green tea) (I don't do java) Yes to the potato chips... Yes to the pretzels... Yes to the spud crunchies... Rainbow baby carrots, yes... Yes to the hummus... Yes to the tomato paste... Waffle cones, sure! Still doesn't beat morello cherries though. I am trying to wrap my head around why Trader Joe's would discontinue these guys... Still my biggest beef with TraderJoe's, even more than any issues with the organic/non-gmo, etc. issues. Yeah. NOT HAPPY about no more morello cherries at TJ's... But, you've got some good stuff... I see you are a chocolate fan. Chocolate is fine. It's better than almost everything else in the sweets range, so yeah, keep getting those mint chocolates and peanut butter cups! 😊
Certain brands of unsweetened applesauce are a bit sweet and healthy. Bananas, pineapples, grapes and other fruits are sweet and healthy. Everything that has a picture of fruit on a box is not healthy or good for kids.
Hey everyone! I hope you all enjoyed this video. Just wanted to point out that there were two items I didn’t talk about, the sweet potato tortilla chips ($2.29) and the almond chai latte ($2.99). Thank you, I really appreciate that. For some reason RUclips flagged this video as being "inappropriate" so they blocked ads. I could cry because I am spending so much money out of pocket to make these video and this video will be one of my more popular ones.
Great video I shared it on social media.

Cathy Brown wow very interesting thank you for your advise, God bless
Hi Cathy thank you for the tip !! From a 63 year old gramma! From Ocala Florida God Bless
Why do you have to give your age or call yourself old to give someone a tip about a meal idea?
You do the best Trader Joe’s hauls Katie. I especially loved this one with everything under $2.00. I’m so excited to try some of things that you showed on your video and i loved your snack ideas! Have a wonderful day Katie!😘

Amazing collection ! Great haul. I had no idea so many items existed at under $2 at Trader Joe’s.
Maybe do a part 2 of under $2. I love shopping at my Trader's Joe. You're prices cannot be beaten.
I can definitely do this again.
What a great idea for a video! I love new ideas for meals from TJ's (and all for less than $2.00 each)! Those sweet potato fries look delicious and I will be trying the heart of palms! Thank you Katie!
i freeze the tomato paste in an ice cube tray then pop them out & put them in a baggie in the freezer for sauces, etc.
Thank you honey great tip!!
Coconut yogurt- YES!!!!!! I had no clue they carry that now! Love your salad ideas with beans, etc... Now I am craving bagels!!!! Thanks Katie- love your hauls and recipes.
You know what they say, the more you know.....the more you buy 😂
Personally, I didn’t like their coconut yogurt. It’s very gelatinous and didn’t taste great either. I’ll stick with So Delicious coconut yogurt!

Those chocolate peanut butter cups are better than Reeses! Also, try the Goddess dressing there. So good!
also, those baby bananas are fantastic! I've also tried the dried banana slices (dunno if they still have those) but they were good. Would love to maybe chop up some of those baby bananas and toss them in a banana bread recipe.

Great video! Love to see a part 2 and series of top ten things. Like frozen, veggies, canned etc.
I love your videos! I've tried several of your recommendations and have loved them. I like how you make us aware of items we may not know about!😘
Thank you for your videos. I have learned about so many new TJ products from watching you, and my husband and sons love what I’m bringing home. Took hubby in there last weekend and he picked out loads of stuff to try. 👍🏻👏🏻🎉

Love these hauls by price point. Please do more. THANK YOU again Katie!
Thank you wish we had a trader Joe's in our little town we have one here similar I'll see what they have there!! From Ocala Florida
Seen then waffle cones today too, but skipped on them. I will def picking these up!
Great haul and now I’ve got to check out some things I’ve never seen 😊
Thanks for sharing
I've never had any issues with leaving the open tomato paste in the fridge. It never went bad.
Great video. I'm new to trader Joe's. I will be picking up several of these items.
Love your Trader Joe videos. U have mentioned how good that the everything spice is....what do u put it on?!
Ladies, thank you!! These tips will save me money and wasted food.
What a fantastic haul! Thank you for another great video, Katie. You rock!!!
Thanks for sharing! You’re presentation skills are on point!
You can make for minute catch up using tomato paste and balsamic vinegar. The recipe is in the book Sally Fallon's nourishing traditions
Katie you got me hooked on those Olive Oil Kettle Chips. I try not to buy them very often unless I have Weight Watcher points to spare. But when I do they are so worth it.
So good!
I would also advise while describing items to distinguish between milk chocolate and dark chocolate.. many people I know including myself only eat dark chocolate related items... a lot of people are getting away from sugar.
thanks
Good tip, I will try to remember to do that from now on.
Love, love, your Trader Joe's haul.
Another amazing haul with Katie! 👍🏻💕
Katie, I adore your videos and binge watched all your hauls lol! Went to my local TJ’s in Yorba Linda and was sad to find out the three shrimp tacos (frozen) are discontinued 😣 I still managed to spend $90 though lol
Bummer, my husband will be sorry to hear the news.
Soooo good, I grabbed four before they are gone for good 😔
Seeing the sweet potato fries reminded me, the Trader Joe's zucchini fries are amazing too!
Thanks Dolores!
I try so many new things because of these videos!! Love them
Katie love your videos!
Thanks for all the great ideas. Please give us updates on the items that were new to you. Positive or negative.
Wow, I absolutely love to hear from subscribers who have been here from the beginning. Thank you so much for the support and kind words ❤️
Please write down ur list down below thank u love your video...it will really help
Those fries are so addictive and the bag it’s so cute
Fantastic idea for a themed haul. As always, great job and thank you! Love almost all of your choices and I agree, the polenta is fantastic. Such a convenience to have it in the pantry. I like to saute mushrooms and garlic in butter until they turn all yummy and fry up rounds of the polenta, top with grated parm and the mushrooms. Like your hubby, i liked the tikka veg and it is a nice quick thing to have over rice. (Didnt care for the lentil version though. What did Tim think of that one?)
Apologies for the following rant. I LOVED the old thai green curry, but with the change in label, they also changed the recipe and the new one tastes nothing like the old one. The new one sucks compared to the original. I am sorry to be so negative about it, but i would saute shrimp with the origjnal sauce, add some rice, lots of lemon juice, a lot of cilantro and basil and it was my favorite dinner. Ate it at least twice a week and it took less than 10 minutes. The new formulation is just not good. I asked why they changed and they said their supplier was raising the price.
TJ’s is a firm believer in passing the savings on to the customer, so when it comes down to pricing they are very specific. P.S. I’m sorry to hear that the new formula is not good. That happened to me also with the frozen asparagus risotto.
Katie Hespe Thank you! I agree with you about the asparagus risotto. They need to just pass all their decisions by us. That would work, dont you think? ;)
Katie Hespe thanks for the info about the baby bananas. I havent purchased them and sweet lover that i am, now i am going to give those funny little things a try. :D
Love this video!! Love TJ’s you just have me many items to add to my list for this weeks trip😄👍
Great stuff for under $2.00!! Amazing thank you for sharing. How’s that Vanilla Almond Spiced Chai drink? I love Chai But is this one sweet?
I am not a fan of the almond chai to be honest.
nice haul, good deals, have a great weekend
My husband and I live on the frozen Turkey burgers. Have not seen them at our TJ's the last couple trips. Do you know if they where discontinued?
Patty, I am not sure. I can't remember the last time Iv'e seen them either. When you're in TJ's next have them look it up for you.
Wonderful haul.
I love this video & the thought behind it! Side note your top is adorable.
Thank you ❤️
How did you like the pure protein shake?
love the sweet potato fries dipped in low fat syrup, yum!
I just love watching your Trader joe Videos.
Great Video gave me some new things to Buy
Just when I thought I didn’t need to make the two hour trip to TJ....😂
are all trader joes prices the same ?? i just want to make sure, my trader joes is like 35 min away
I assume that the prices are the same, other than taxes, depending on what state you're in.
alright thank you .
Yes I was wondering about the sweet potato chips is that good?
Hey girl, thanks for all the comments! Yes, the sweet potato chips are very yummy 😋
Ya honey
@@Versace71 yes Homey; lol
Yes I love this video cool to know everything under or for $2
Buttered Noodles r good with cottage cheese. Mini raviolis r nice too
Great video
Used to think TJ was expensive!!!
What Salsa do you recommend for a spicy 🌶 southern Cali family
Honestly we don't have many spicy salsa's, but if you want some real heat check out the ghost pepper salsa that is refrigerated. It has great flavor and is a little too spicy for me.
Katie Hespe thank you so much
Katie Hespe ok
So we made turkey burritos and bought 2 refrigerator Salsas and the Hot goats one was HOT!! and the mild could be our new family favorite!! And thT says a lot since we eat a lot of Salsa
Loved the demonstration of healthy foods except the pasta items. Mac and cheese is a no no for diabetics. Overall, Ty for the nice vid amazing prices.
Great haul thanks for sharing, I can’t wait to go shopping now lol
I'm Mexican and we never eat the tortillas without putting it in the comal lol.
I have tried the basil pasta sauce it is good need to try the garlic one
Nice video thanks for the tip it’s funny I just went to Trader Joe’s and I seen those waffle Combs And we into thousand 19 and your videos from 2018 is still Selling
Just so you know you can cook the heart of palm in rice and make a rice casserole with it. Super delicious.
Yes!! Thank you for this, I have only heard people using them in salads. I will try this recipe!
what do you normally use the everything bagel seasoning for? i have a jar of it, but haven’t used much of it bc all i use it on is salads, chinese food, and avocado toast
Tourettes0 if you like cottage cheese or hard boiled eggs I think it is good on both if those as well!
What do you put the bagel seasoning on?
I put it on eggs, avocado toast, cream cheese and crackers...
Yam fries great with horseradish and mayonnaise dip. Yum
I love the coconut cream in my coffee.
So good!
Does it have a coconut flavor and/or smell?
In my opinion no, however I’m so used to coconut, anything mild like this creamer I can’t detect.
I've never seen the Pure Protein shakes at TJ's. Do they still carry? If so, where are they in store?
They do still carry them. They are right next to all the protein powders.

Still my biggest beef with TraderJoe's, even more than any issues with the organic/non-gmo, etc. issues. Yeah. NOT HAPPY about no more morello cherries at TJ's...
But, you've got some good stuff... I see you are a chocolate fan. Chocolate is fine. It's better than almost everything else in the sweets range, so yeah, keep getting those mint chocolates and peanut butter cups! 😊
I love T.J., it’s the best!
Hello! Which Trader Joe’s do u work at?
Please do a whole vegan TJ haul 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Yes🌿
Are these British muffins same as the crumpets
No, they are actually the same as English Muffins. The crumpets are very unique and quite honestly I've never tried anything like them before.
Soooo many delicious items!
The Sweet Chili so yummy and versatile >
Certain brands of unsweetened applesauce are a bit sweet and healthy. Bananas, pineapples, grapes and other fruits are sweet and healthy. Everything that has a picture of fruit on a box is not healthy or good for kids.
Great video!
I love the cilantro dressing 😋
Did u hear what happened what happened at Trader Joe’s in silver lake
