- The Short Steps, the Twitch - whatever you call them, it’s all about the speed and frequency of your steps that make you tough to defend. Mastering these short steps will make you nearly impossible to stop!
It’s about shifting from slow, controlled movement to explosive bursts by pushing off the ground with your back leg. This quick change of pace catches defenders off guard and gives you the edge.

I watch a lot of soccer tutorials, but most of them just repeat the same stuff. Here, I'm finally learning something new
@@garbiel1 thank you!
I’ve been having so much success from your 1v1 tutorials! I’m coming back to this one because I realized this particular set of techniques is really good to fake the forward pass as you approach a defender. I’ve found that I more often go for the angled pass forward which is what the defender is expecting. I’m looking forward to incorporating these hip and footwork fakes
I would LOVE to see a video of dribbling moves in different scenarios. For example, you and your defender are at a stand still face to face, v a defender has you trapped in a corner or against the sideline, v you are approaching a defender at a slow speed, v you are approaching at a high speed, v a defender is running along side you and they are faster, etc.
@@carljensen5730 i’ll see what I can do!
Frank we call this "la ginga" in futsal... one key point is we add a multi directional "drag" touch wondering if you could check out our videos on the "drag" setup? and see what you think... its (1) ginga (2) drag (3) ginga (4) (we have specific exits based on the foot position of the defender) - would love to collaborate on a series of movements incorporating this let us know

Hey, love your content! I'm a 16-year-old footballer, 184cm tall, and I play Left wing and I am more like a dribling player and I wanted to ask that does my height really affects my dribbling and can I dribble efficiently like short players if I work very hard. Also I would love if you give me some reference from professional players. Thank you in advance
Look at Zlatan Ibrahimovic
@@football_issss_lifeee hi! I’m 184 tall as well. There’s plenty of wingers out there who are 183 or taller! Ronaldo was just as tall or if not taller when he played out on the wing - Cole Palmer drifts out to the side and he’s about 185 tall too. Plenty of them out there. Don’t you worry
Baiting the defender isn't that difficult but for some reason getting past him is a problem for me, somehow I can't picture myself doing it.. no problems using these to get a separation and open up a passing lane though. When I wasn't as fat and at my best years ago I used nutmegs to get past a defender, read their footwork and get the timing but could never go around a defender that's serious about it. So I guess learning how to move once your feints are successful is just as key if not more. I don't have time or desire to practice anymore and only get worse ha ha
Watched this video only to realize I do solo drills at that location all the time
