- Alex Pereira participated in a training session in Dubai alongside Gokhan Saki, focusing on the renowned Hemmers Dutch Kickboxing techniques in February 2024. Gokhan Saki, who trained under the tutelage of Cor Hemmers during the Golden Glory era, rose to prominence as a superstar in the sport.
Nick Hemmers and his contingent were present in Dubai for the Alpha Fight Series event held on February 16, 2024. Five fighters from Hemmers Gym showcased their skills at the AFS Event, competing in Australia versus the world matchups. The team comprised Mohamed Dadouch (Heavyweight), Bruno Chaves (Heavyweight), Haris Biber (Welterweight), Ahmad Chick Mousa (Lightweight), and Samir Boukhidous (Middleweight), all emerging victorious in their respective bouts.
Nick Hemmers orchestrated an exceptional training session, welcoming esteemed fighters such as Marat Grigorian, Filip Verlinden, Errol Zimmerman, and the seasoned Gokhan Saki from Hemmers Gym, along with UFC Champion Alex Pereira from Brazil and Rangel Farias. This gathering of MMA and Kickboxing legends on the mat made for a unique experience, reminiscent of the legendary Ramon Dekkers. Leading the session with expertise and enthusiasm, Nick Hemmers, the younger brother of Ramon Dekkers and son of Cor Hemmers, ensured a professional and engaging atmosphere.
Gratitude is extended to the Alpha Fight Series AFS for organizing a stellar kickboxing event in Dubai and to Alex Pereira's team for collaborating with Nick Hemmers to document the Dutch Kickboxing session, providing valuable footage.
Hemmers Gym, founded by Cor Hemmers, has garnered worldwide acclaim as one of the premier kickboxing gyms, renowned for its distinctive Dutch kickboxing style. This style, honed by Cor Hemmers and his stepson Ramon "The Diamond" Dekkers, has produced numerous champions, including Gokhan Saki, Marat Grigorian, Jamal Ben Saddik, and Alistair Overeem. The gym serves as a training hub for martial arts enthusiasts and professionals worldwide, maintaining partnerships with leading organizations such as One FC, K1, UFC, GLORY, KWS, and AFS.

40 isn't really old old. If you live clean and train correctly you can still be athletic in your early 40s, and for some people even beyond. It's all about balance, that's the key

I was always a fan of Saki he's was a small guy and beating the shit out of tall strong K1 fighters his speed was something we almost never saw for a heavyweight that type of speed you can't train either you r born with it or not.

Saki is a very underrated fighter, one of the best k1 foghters entering the ring, unfortunately for him fought always in the wrong division, should have gone down with the weight because of his height.
