    Loving this. Could you do a more in depth video of how you do the 12w year from start to finish? I’ve read the book so know the theory but how you put it into practice looks brilliant and I think I would actually be able to achieve goals.

      Thank you! I haven’t shared the goal yet (I’m still refining it) - I’ll make a video about how I’m setting it up with the 12 week year and planner cards in the next couple of weeks.

    This is an excellent video and you answered so many questions I had. I think I’m VERY close to jumping in and giving your system a try. I guess my next hurdle to jump over is Canva!!! I’m not a techie and I’ve NEVER been able to do anything on Canva. One thing at a time.
    Unmmm let’s talk about cleaning the vacuum!! 😳 and the computer. 🤦‍♀️

      @@timeandtideplans one of my adult sons was here when I was trying to put all my 3x5 cards in order and I saw the one (I think it was weekly) and it said to vacuum under the cushions. Well, I probably did that when my kids were young… maybe more like once a month, but now (please no shame) I do it really only when I know someone is coming over. Maybe I’ll start to do this once a month for now. I don’t think I saw baseboards… I KNOW I need a schedule for that.
      I’ve had fun trying to set this up today… I may never find my cards again, but I tried to implement what I thought you were saying.
      Thank you.

    Thank you :) love watching how you set up. Thanks for the 12 week planner cards :) Is there a reason you put the cards in front of the date rather than behind?

    • @timeandtideplans
      @timeandtideplans  9 месяцев назад +1

      It's my pleasure! The card goes in front of the date divider to make the cards for the date you are on and the cards for the days you are looking for easily visible and accessible. When I worked in hospitality we did the same thing with guest information, where we placed welcome letters in front of the letter divider as well. I assume for the same reason. Are you using a card deck yet?

    • @juliem868
      @juliem868 9 месяцев назад

      @@timeandtideplans yes, got the deck sorted and been working out of it for the past couple of days. I have one more question :) how do you handle something you need to do but may never do again, or that isn’t really worth doing a card for?

    • @timeandtideplans
      @timeandtideplans  9 месяцев назад

      It depends on what the item is, how far ahead it is, etc. There is a lot of wiggle room. I try not to overwhelm myself with cards. Play around with it, test out using a card for an activity you do once and see how it makes you feel.

    OK, so I am familiar with SHE and 12WY and see how this fits. What do you do about projects and regular work that are not 12WY goal-related? How do those things fit in the cards. For example, I have a podcast. It is not a goal of mine right now, but I do need to produce regular content. How would the work related to that (and other life and business projects) fit into the card system. (I have three different planners I could use for 2024 already, but something about this is speaking to me...)

    • @timeandtideplans
      @timeandtideplans  9 месяцев назад +1

      Good morning from the PNW! What I did for this round was create action cards just like I would for the goal related tasks. I just didn’t add them to my scorecard. I can then skip, shuffle, etc still - when I complete the action i file it in front of the weekly divider still, even though it’s not goal related. It still could have affected my ability to complete all of my tasks for the goal if my time was being spent elsewhere, so it’s nice to have that visual.

    Now I’m confused with your week #1-12… I’m a Sunday start of my weeks… where would I put my week #1 card? This might make more sense if I just begin and add this part at a later day. I’ll look to see if you have more videos explaining this 12-week year.

      I have a video where I go over it using my own cards here: ruclips.net/video/OdGgebfyV8k/видео.htmlsi=SsgjivOseDMevl6C Week 1 goes behind the end of your first week working towards your goal. For example, my week ends tomorrow, the 20th. So, I have Week 1, or the 1 Divider behind the 20 divider. The 1 divider has my scorecard on it (from the book The 12 Week Year) and any cards pertaining to my goal that I have completed or skipped sitting in front of the divider to help me self-asses on Saturday.

      That's awesome! If you have the premium version of Canva you can resize the document to 12x12. If you have the free version I am happy to see what I can do on my end to send you a 12x12 canvas for you to rearrange your cards for printing on.

      That would be awesome…the size is exactly 12.5” x 12.5”. I went in and tried to reconfigure the page myself but couldn’t get it to resize correctly. I can look at it again tomorrow. Thanks again! 😊
