Yalo e vei ciriyaki (Mateaki) by One2eight featuring Bigwilz

This classic was written by Ilisapeci Tamani in the 70's. It was a song from the heart she wrote in the worst time of her life.
Seating in a hospital Bed in Tamavua, looking over Laucala bay at Nukulau island and beyond, she penned the words for her beautiful little Mateaki who had gone to Tonga to be raised by her dad.. In her state of despair and loneliness she put music to those words & created one of the most beautiful Fijian songs ever written.
It is a song that will remain timeless & will be remade over & over, speaking of love between mother & daughter. This is One2eights contribution to this beautiful masterpiece.
It was only fit that we shot the video in Tonga showing the beauty of its people & scenery.
