Best womens college basketball game I watch for feb 2025 so far.
Great game! I like to root for the Wolfpack because they play at Reynolds coliseum. That's my family name (but my family wasn't part of the tobacco trade and was dirt poor). I find it odd that the coliseum is named for a tobacco company executive and the court is named for a woman who battled cancer. But i was inspired to research and found out William Neal Reynolds...
-was brother of RJ Reynolds from whom he inherited leadership of the tobacco company and four children for him and his wife to raise
-did not attend NC State, he attended Duke (according to a "Reynolds Homestead' article on the Virginia Tech University website)
-was not a big fan of bb (according to NC State University website)
-had other business interests in banking and railroads (according to Duke University website)
-he was an accomplished horseman, a golfer, and a philanthropist, including building a hospital for African Americans (that was during the segregation era).
