you dont know how much respect i have for you to not be mad that they took what you made and add onto it, but to instead enjoy art and appreciate what is infront of you... i hope you live an Exhilarating Great life
I like how when this layer came out everyone was quick to assume there were requiem motifs hidden within the songs, but I think that the similarities are not about requiem, but rather judgement, introspection. these one-off moments that sound like the once-great judge, still residing over you as you march through a land you don't belong, faintly pressuring guilt into the core of the machine.
after finishing the whole game... we go to a scene where we go back to all the layers, until we reach the surface. where we see how everything turned into ashes... there are no buildings, only very small remains of machines. the sky is moderately opaque. it's a sunset, and everywhere you look there's only shallow water... in the distance we see a gabriel. standing. not floating, and his wings pointing to the ground, with his arms and hands covered in blood. just like us. he's looking at the sunset. he's looking directly at the sun. G: hello... v1 V1: I was already wondering when they would say my name G: Oh! what a surprise, you can talk V1: yes G: I know you're about to die too. You can't fight. Me neither. So all that's left is to watch the sunset. V1: you removed the heaven. didn't you? G: not at all . G: thanks, v1 V1: thanks why? G: for forcing me to open my eyes After a while, the sun begins to set on the horizon, and more The two of them start to run out of energy. until they both give up. falling to the ground at the same time. They fall face first. and with their arms extended towards the sun. as if they still wanted to compete. Then, the sun completely sets. End
given that it's being more and more implied that the machines are sentient (possibly because they stay in hell so long), maybe V1 will come to regret it's actions, or another will force regret upon it.
In short, he's likely to undergo the same change as Gabriel. Realizing what he did on the instructions of a dead jury. In the case of v1. Guidelines of a dead human @@NyxyShark

now we need a whole orchestra
Okay, but only one instrument at a time, added by different people. Someone find a flutist.
@@williambarnes5023 missing a vowel there
@@alineskeii-4262 No, flutist is correct. Stop adding extra vowels to everything, you lime.
@@alineskeii-4262 I got your vowel right here and here.
