The cruise port looks nice, but you wouldn't necessarily know you were in Mexico. The usual shops, bars and pools, I might as well stay on the ship. Did you go beyond the gates? I am wondering whether there are any museums there on the Mayan culture.
This video was specifically to highlight the port area. We did not venture out of the port this last time, but there are a lot of options for Mayan culture excursions as well as other Mexican culture excursions from this port.
Is there a beach area? On the map it looks like it. I wish you had included what things cost. Also, scanning all the stores without focusing really made it hard to see what is there. Does the pool cost anything? Are there towels available or do we need to bring them from the ship? Is the good or anything you are good? Are prices lower than on the ship?
There isn't a beach area in the port. The pool area has a zero entry access area and a lot of loungers, but if there is an actual beach access area we completely missed it.
All this footage was recorded with a Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus. I've used a few cameras, but by adding a small shotgun microphone with a windsock to soften wind noise the video quality is surprisingly good.
The pool is free to use for all cruise passengers. What does cost are things like spa treatments, food, drinks, the aviary, and the dolphin experience. 🐬 I think that's all that has an additional charge.

@@JaniceCrowell it is a area that begins above the water level and slowly slopes into the pool. Sort of like a ramp.

Correct. There is no beach access inside the port. But there are several resorts close by that offer day passes.

I believe the Aviary and Dolphin experience were the only attractions that you had to pay additionally for.

I know different cruise lines dock at different piers in some locations, but I believe they all use the same one at this location.
