I made up a shadow SCP, I cant remember the number I gave it. It was supposed to be an object class of Euclid and it would latch to the host's shadow and it would feed off the emotions of the host. If the Host becomes hostile or angered the SCP would lash out and attack everything around it. If the host were to die the SCP would transfer it self to the nearest human shadow. It can't latch on to objects or animal shadows due to the lack or composition of their soul. It seems hard to contain but the human host is the containment area and the host should have little emotions or be in a happy mood, just so the SCP won't be provoked to attack at any time. But to answer your question. The SCP Foundation is a secret organization. It is their job to know about, find, secure, protect and/or destroy supernatural creatures, places, and objects referred to as SCPs (followed by a number). Some of these SCPs are dangerous or harmful to humanity. Some would simply cause mass panic and hysteria. Some, mankind (normal civilians) are just not equipped or mentally/emotionally prepared to accept or deal with.
The existence of SCPs is highly classified an no information about them is made available to the general public. They have different containment levels. Safe- Easy to Contain. Keter- Difficult to Contain. Euclid- somewhere in the middle.
Just about anything can be an SCP. A nigh indestructible reptilian creature that hates all living things. A skin disease that turns people into grotesque mutated creatures composed mostly of scar tissue. A car that, whoever drives it will be involved in a car accident, all the drivers die the same exact way. A playground that seems to be haunted and draws people (mostly children) to play on it, and if they do for too long, they mysteriously disappear.
