I think they mean BLACKPINK "transcends" Kpop. It's not fair to put BLACKPINK only inside a box labelled Kpop. They're global, all the members speak multiple languages, and they're literally the 2nd biggest artist right now on RUclips. A little reading comprehension and you'll eventually get it 😅
Also, they have done other genres before like country, R&B, hip-hop, etc. That's literally why Kpop is so popular because it's actually not "Korean pop" like the name implies. Kpop is experimental in nature. It's not afraid to mix up elements from other styles of music.
