COMPONENTS - GREAT! The character minis are fine, but the tokens are thick and chunky, the board is big and attractive, the multiple books are nicely bound, the cards are good quality... a fine production overall. 0:00 - Introduction 0:31 - Character Upgrades 1:09 - Setting and Theme 1:58 - Scenario Variety 2:41 - All or Nothing Combat 3:29 - Actions and Downtime 4:45 - Final Thoughts
Adding the modular expansions add even more upgrade options for your knights as well. You even have one where you add upgrades to your vehicle. Great game and one of my favorite solo games.
Totally agree, Mike! I pledged the Kickstarter and though it was really late, it was worth the wait. What a fantastic, fun and accessible game. Great review.
Just snagged the retail version to see if I want to get the expansion while the KS is live. Looks pretty sweet and Ive never really played an adventure game (well Fallen Land might count 🤷♂). Tried an RPG once, not for me 2 hours in and i had just picked a character.🤦♂ Anyway thanks for the gameplay video too.
Wow. Eventually, it is on the channel :D ... I went all-in with extra dice since it's my very first KS game and am also a huge fan of post-apocalyptic adventure games. Totally love the game and the story, but sometimes I wish there were more event cards rather than facing one enemy after another in each round.
I noticed that too (more enemies than encounters), but didn't mind because the enemies tend to be fairly diverse, and they're also totally crazy with their art and theme... giant turkey riders? Yes please!
@@OneStopCoopShop Yeah, I couldn't agree more. The artwork is super cool, and the post-apocalyptic Australia theme is truly refreshing :D. Thanks for covering this game, Mike!
Glad you enjoyed it. Looks like so much fun. I ended up getting it for great price on BGG market and was surprised that it had all the expansion content included in main box. Actually ended up paying less than I would have if I had gone in on the KS. Can’t wait to get this one to the table (if I can ever get hunters AD 2114 off)
Yep happened again 🙈🙈 loved the look of this adventure and just did my first pledge on gamefound and bought it, haha because of your review. I love the recent games you guys have been showing!! All of then are peaking my interest!! Never used game found before but looks like the game may have already shipped out to people in the US but I couldn't find when it would ship to me (now that I did the late pledge)
Your playthrough convinced me to late pledge for everything on Gamefound. Stop spending my money! :) I own Fallout with everything and although with Atomic Bonds it's ok, I don't really like it enough to ever play it. I think that's mostly from trying to bolt co-op/solo onto what was clearly designed as a competitive game. Very few games can pull that off (I think Runebound 3rd does it just about the best out of games with co-op added after release). I also really appreciate that this is a scenario based game unlike just about every other crowdfunded thematic (pretty much the only type I play) game over the past few years. I mostly ignore campaign games and have started selling many that I currently own.
Whoopsie, sorry about that ;) But for real, I think you'll enjoy this one. And I totally agree about campaign games. They can be fun, but it's nice to sit down and FINISH something in a night sometimes :)

Agreed, lots of cool options in the additional content.
Thanks Mike (and Discord), this one wasn’t on my radar at all but looks right up my alley. I’m excited to give it a shot!
Awesome! Have fun :)
So glad you covered this! I've really enjoyed this one and hope more people get into it. Great vid 👍
Thanks! And it's great to see how the publisher is supporting it... an app coming with open world play? Awesome!

Cool, didn't realize you had played this one! Glad you enjoyed it too :)
I am so excited to play this now. Thank you!
Nice! Hope you enjoy it :)
Thanks for sharing.
I'm going to check this one out and also watch your play through!
Have fun!

Thanks for the great review. Waste Knights is impatiently waiting in my queue to be played!
Awesome! Hope you have fun when you get to it

@@KyawThurein after all the Mad Max films, it HAD to be Australia. I like to think that in the post-apocalypse, nowhere else is left! :)

Sounds like an amazing deal! Nice job :)
Agreed with the review. 2nd edition was definitely more streamlined.
Never played first edition, but yeah, seems like this is a big improvement
Would it be worth a purchase just for solo play?
@@METAL4K-UK as long as you don't mind playing multiple characters, I'd say yes. There are only two scenarios for "true solo", controlling one knight.

And Gamefound has been popular on our Discord too. Hope they ship it soon!
@@OneStopCoopShop thanks and no I'm glad I saw the video and bought it, excited to play! Would love to see similar style games shown if there are any
Waiting for the game to be finally sold in russian retail chains this late autumn! Gonna see your playthrough!
Hope you enjoy!

Ive had this since KSer and not even played it yet lol
Better get on that! :)
Second edition?
Correct, that’s what I played and reviewed here.
