    *I'm always happy to point you in the right direction regarding questions about Adobe Captivate. If you need more than a simple question answered, you can purchase a one-hour one-on-one session with me at **bit.ly/Cp1on1**. If you only use some of that time, that's okay. You can bank any unused time (15-minute increments) for future sessions. For example, if you use 30 minutes, you can use 30 minutes later.*

    sir , how make question like this, but use attempts?

    • @CaptivateTeacher
      @CaptivateTeacher  3 года назад

      You would need to track the attempt in a variable and check for this in your advanced action. Once the value has been incremented until you have used up the tries you could disable the question. If you need help with this, you can purchase an hour from my website for one-on-one instruction: bit.ly/Cp1on1

    Hi paul. Thanks for excellent tutorial. Is there a way to put a multiple choice question with right to left format (as seen in indo arabic and persian language ) with the marking of it at right side.

    • @CaptivateTeacher
      @CaptivateTeacher  6 лет назад

      You should probably check with Adobe. I've never had to do this being from the West so they would be better suited to answer that question.

    Hi Paul,
    Is there a way to create a self-assessment, where users can highlight items they identify with and ones they don't? Thanks!

      Perhaps this video tutorial might answer that question for you: ruclips.net/video/S_lhVdQlPUQ/видео.html

    When placing a drag on the drag and drop is not valid when the submit button on on Failure to why it did not go as we want .
    But on success because it 's nothing

      +Kobchai Somphong take a look at some of my drag and drop videos on my channel. I think they may have the answers you seek.

    Hi Paul! Thanks so much for this video, I ended up creating a great module off of this tutorial. A strange thing is happening though and I can't seem to figure it out. If a learner quits the course before it is completed and returns later on to finish it up, all the answers that are clicked on show as correct (including the incorrect ones). I was hoping you could share your insight on this issue?
    Thanks,
    Sarah

      I would only use this for knowledge checks. I would also reset the slide back to it's original condition on subsequent revisits using an on-enter advanced action that returns everything back to it's original state.

    Hi Paul, your videos are very informative! Any idea why I have checked the box "Infinite Attempts" and when I preview the project, it goes on to the next question even though it was not answered correctly?

    • @CaptivateTeacher
      @CaptivateTeacher  6 лет назад

      It very much depend what the action is with a button. For example the try again button on the feedback page has an action that returns you to the knowledge check. You can literally do that an infinite number of times but the action will take you to that page.

    since you can do multiple choice using adobe captivate... my concern is you didnot mention if the answers was recorded to excel or sheets?

    • @CaptivateTeacher
      @CaptivateTeacher  3 года назад

      This example was created as a practice question or knowledge check rather than a final quiz question. But it would be easy to select the correct answer and assign points. Most elearning is deployed on a learning management system (LMS). When you publish an eLearning course in this way the LMS records the results to the user's training record. You can then run reports to see how your learners did.

    sir how you create 4 options from beginning you did not told, that one thing didn't get it
    Thank you

      Click on the shapes icon in the Captivate toolbar and select rectangle. Resize them so all four are the same. Select "Use as Button" to turn the shapes into buttons. Select colour and text formatting to customize the appearance. This is quite an old video. If you are using the most recent version of Captivate, some things will appear different.

    Assume I have a multiple choice question with one correct answer and 3 wrong. Is there any way to create an individual "the answer is incorrect because XXX" to each of the 3 wrong answers?

    • @CaptivateTeacher
      @CaptivateTeacher  7 лет назад

      Yes. you can use the Advanced Answer option found in the properties panel when you click on each of your answer statements. Take a look at this video: ruclips.net/video/fTh0u0YYKG4/видео.html

    Thanks for the excellent Video. Did you use Adobe Captivate to create this video? I like the way, you zoom in to different parts of the screen to highlight the information.

      I've used a few tools over the years (yeah I know this is an older question). But for a time I used the Video Demo feature to record from one instance of Captivate to another.

      Thank you! I got all that done. Now, I need to set up the review and retake correctly. Do you have a tutorial for that? I'm pretty close to getting it to work.

    • @CaptivateTeacher
      @CaptivateTeacher  7 лет назад

      I usually only use this type of question for knowledge checks but you certainly can make it scoreable. Problem is that review mode is a little trickier since this type of slide doesn't use the standard functionality of a regular question. I think I did something once that used the system variable to let the slide know if you're in review mode or not. Then you can write an advanced action to show a review mode message to the viewer. Let me see if I can find that...
      Yeah here it is, except that it's for drag and drop but you should be able to apply the same principle to a custom multiple choice. ruclips.net/video/wTSJSkr7XtM/видео.html

      Great tutorial. I see the 2 others tutorials you mention here but I can't find the answer. Is there also a way to track the results and send to an LMS if I make my own custom quiz like a game. Imagine a case a bit more complexe, like a small custom pedagogical game with a score at the end. Is there a way to include in quiz this score to. I know I include in quiz some fixed points with a button. But how can I do that if the score is variable and is depending of the learner answer ?

      I'm sorry to say that they were designed to answer specific questions as users would search for them, rather than function as a full course. I have tried to organise them into playlists. If you visit my main channel, you can click on the Getting Started playlist.
      ruclips.net/p/PLAz1fjXAzQ35q_mqPBPbmNFhXUJr52GFR
      Again, not really in any particular order but the Getting Started playlist deals with topics a new Captivate user might want to learn about.
      3 years ago with zero subscribers, I had no idea that my channel would grow to what it has.

      Frank Mc thanks. I've been aware of this mistake since shortly after the video was published. Since the content of the project demo file was not the subject of the video, I didn't bother to rerecord it. I hope you were still able to enjoy and learn from this video anyway

    Thanks for the video! However, Ottawa is the "capital" of Canada, and not the "capitol"!
    Capitol has two very specific definitions (outside ancient Rome): (1) a U.S. state legislature building, and (2) the U.S. Capitol building in Washington, D.C. State capitols are located in the capital cities of U.S. states, and the Capitol is located in the capital city of the U.S. If you’re not talking about any of these capitol buildings, then the word you want is probably capital.(grammarist.com/usage/capitol-capital/)
