  • Some Pharisees travel from Jerusalem up to where Jesus is teach in the Gennesaret villages probably to check out the new rabbi. What they find Jesus' disciples doing sends them to question Jesus. "Why do Your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat their bread with impure hands?” Instead of answering their question, Jesus quotes Isaiah 29 to them and accuses them of setting God's law aside so they can keep their traditions. Today on "In Need of a Refill," Kevin Smith looks at Jesus' rebuke of the Pharisees for placing their traditions on the same level as God's commands in Mark 7. In essence, Jesus tells them, "One of These Things Is Not Like the Other."
We are the Church of Christ in Rock Springs, Wyoming. We know you have Bible questions. We want to provide short, simple, to the point Bible answers to questions like, “Why do Christians worship on Sundays?” or “Can Christians drink?” or “Should Christians celebrate holidays?” We also have a playlist called "In Need of a Refill" with sermons to provide people an opportunity to dive deeper into God's Word. Why do we offer both question responses and sermon content? So you can grow in your relationship with God and come to know Him better.
Currently, our goal is to post a new video for "In Need of a Refill" every Sunday at 8am MST and for "Questions Over Coffee" every Monday at 3pm MST.
