@@MrAviary herkenbaar. Mijn vrouw en ik zijn begonnen met 4 zebravinken en nu hebben we vele soorten. 2 weken terug ons eerste koppel binsenasterildes gekocht en daar kunnen we binnenkort al een nestje van verwachten.
Hello! The new aviary is amazing! Congrats on reaching 20K too. One thought...lighting is important Will there be lights from the ceiling to shine down and illuminate everything? The plants will need light and birds of course to simulate the sunlight. What will you cover the floor with? Put down plastic and then sand works great. Can't wait to see the new birds released. Great job! Take care!
That's the plan! In the first shot you can see I already put lights in but I forgot to film it. On the floor I have newspapers and platic with sand on top of it yes, so it can soak up the water.
Well! Congratulations once again for 20k subs. The new one is really breathtaking for me and kinda thinking about the plants on how they will get sunlight. They do need sunlight and same goes for the birds. Giving them vitamin D through vitamin syrup isn't a great idea everytime; atleast I won't do this. But I'm sure you must have planned about this before.
Very nice! That aviary is looking really good. I see at least one of the species in the aviary is a species I am also keeping :D I am wondering about the black painted mesh though. What type of paint are you using? I have been trying to find bird safe paint locally or online that's birdsafe, but I am not having much luck.
I just use metal black paint. I let it at least dry for a week and only use it with finches who are not known to chew on the mesh. I would not recommend it for parakeets and parrots. Never had any problem
Did you transfer the birds to the aviary cause they did not succeed breeding in cages ? and what's your recommendation to breeding gouldians ? in cages or aviary ?
No I wanted an extra aviary and a colony. So I chose Gouldian finches. For me I definitely have more success like this than previous years in cages but I know a lot of breeders where it is the other way around.
@@MrAviary Thanks for replying, I have a good experience with breeding canary in cages for more than 10 years , recently I bought 12 young goldian finish, I am really confused and I want to have a good start with those lovely birds , so I want you to advise me to start with an aviary or cages or maybe trying the both.
True, outside I would always use a double door system, however this aviary is inside a small room so they can't go nowhere if they do fly out. It never happened and this makes it easier to put big stuff in
First! And congratulations!
Thank you
This aviary is absolutely stunning! Oh and congrats on the 20k man well deserved!
Many many thanks

Quails will follow soon, we can't miss them. Looking at your name
Gefeliciteerd! 🥳 Mooie volière. Het houden van vogels is een zeer leuke hobby.

@@MrAviary Awesome. Can't wait to see the finished product. Ceiling recess lighting with a dimmer for night time would look amazing!

I really like this. Looking forward to seeing how it evolves with time.
Thanks, me too
Very nice job friend. Is this to replace the outdoor aviary completely or just an indoor temporary use for over winter? All the best.
No just extra so I can house more birds and maybe some more sensitive species.
WoW! I love it! 💙💙💙💙 amazing idea to build one inside for winter time! I can’t wait to see your next video 😊😊🦜🦜🦜 ( I’m gonna check your merch! )
Thank you! Cheers!
Congrats!

Bedankt, hoe warm heb je ze zitten?
@@MrAviary ze zitten bij mij tussen de 17 a 20 graden.. ik heb enkel koppels Emblema Pictas zitten!

Thank you! 😊, They get some sunlight trough the window and I already have put a daylight lamp in there for the plants.
How did you protect the wood floor? What went below the sand?
There is plastic and newspapers beneath the sand

I appreciate
I appreciate the support :D
Congrats on reaching 20k!
Lovely aviary! My question would be......will it be hard to catch the birds?
Thanks, true have to come up with some new tricks, but I'm not going to catch them a lot because they will stay in The aviary whole year around.
Great video! Just getting into Gouldians! What do you have on the bottom of the aviary on the ground?
Newspapers and play sand, perfect for two little quails
Hi what did you do for the floor to clean up all the scraps just sand ?
Plastic and newspapers underneath the sand

A big layer of newspapers

Hi, What plants did you use?
Don't know the exact species, a coniferous, some grass species, and a beech tree
Do your birds have names?
No, too many to remember
Love it but the door is too big which will allow birds 🐦 to escape easily
True, outside I would always use a double door system, however this aviary is inside a small room so they can't go nowhere if they do fly out. It never happened and this makes it easier to put big stuff in
Those plants aren’t going to last indoors, I’d recommend indoor plants
True, one grass did the rest didn't
Originele kleding lijn is uniek
