yes the prevoius govt inherited the finacial problem from the Blair Brown govt. who bailed otuy the banks with tax payers money with a clause in the contract the banks do nt have to pay the loan back if they dont want to.
high infaltion was warned about years ago when labour bought in the minimum wage. every source said minimum wage will cause massive price rises and job loses but will take 15 to 20 years to hit the economy. Well it did hit and the tories got blamed for it when it was the Blair/Brown govt that caused it.
Just about every financial prob the torries had to deal with was left over from the last labour govt. Its not something that can be sorted out in a year it can take decades for the effects to actualy hit anyone.
At the end of the Thatcher/brown govt there was Bilions in tax surplus put aside for emergancy use. that was al gone within months of the Blair brown govt and they put up taxes on the lowest earners and reduces taxes on the highest earners. bought in the fit for work tests that saw milions lose their disabilty benefits and thousands died cause of that.
Every labour govt in history has always hit the poorest and made the rich richer.
IE 1st labour govt after WWII 90% tax on the lowest earners 10% on the rich.
When i left school labour govt 35% tax on the poor 45% on the rich. Thatcher took over and cut taxes on the lowest earners to 10% and put tax up on the rich to 80%. She was unpoipular causer she closed down coal mines that had run out of coal that labour had nationalised and paid the minros out of tax payers money as no coal left in the mins to dig out and sell just to keep the unemploymnet figues down and the tax payers had to pay more in tax to cover for it.
With the bank bail out labour had to borrow money from the banks with interest only to give it back to the same banks interest free loan they dont have to pay back. were still paying back those loans out of tax payers money now and that wa sunder l;abour govt and labour blamed the torries for it.
till the Blair Brown govt no labour govt had ever done more than 1 term in office as they always got kicjked out before the end of their 1st trem with votes of no confidenc. a ferw times the king before el;izibeth becme queen disolved labour govts to stop the country rioting and protests about the govt and caled early elections which the torries won by a landslide.
Sems voters wil never learn that the labout party has never got anythign right and destroyed the country with masive debts that tyhe torries take years to pay off and who had to make tough decisions so they became unpolular.
Austerity measues were put in place not by the torries but by the banks cause we were in massive debts and had to pay back all the loans taken our by thge labour govt so the torries had no choice it was put in austerity measures or no more money for the govt.
as the bank of England is a privatley owned bank they decised what the govt has to spend each year and the Chanclelor has to decide whee ebst to spend that money. if tax reveniues go up its not a pron but if tax revaues go down it leave sa black hole in the govt budget. YTories fix it by making cuts to public servies tom make ends met Labour wil just go to otehr banks and borrow borrow borrow as wel as make cuts to public servises and tax in creases and its always the poor that get hgit the hardest mainly pensioners and disabaled. while the torroes tend to pass the burdon to the rich with higher taxes labour hit the poor with higher taxes on them and lowers taxes on the rich.
The torry party actaily no longer exists its the conservtive party not torries. torry party broke up and formed the labour and conservative parties before WWI. it used to be wigs for the rich who only wanted land owners to have the right to vote and the torry party who wanted votes for everyone. wigs were for the rich torries for the poor.
Wigs broke up and formed the democrat and liberl parties. torries broke up and became the communist party UK and the conservative parties.. Communist party failed to get anyone elected and lsot their deposits in every seat they stood in. so changed their name to the socialist part GB and still failled to get anyone elcted cause ppl did not liek their policies. they then changed their name again to labour party and hid their true agenda of the state owning everyhtinbg the ppl nothing. under l;abur they wil nationliose everything and even take ut homes away and force u to pay rent to them as wel as pay off ur mortgage as the govt wil just take ut home away with no compo an dif u have a morgatge tough u still have to pay that off. YTats the true labour manifesto. They tried it several times so the king stepped in and disovled parliment and called new elections. Labour want to ban elctions so they stay in power forever and turn the UK into the old Soviet union and we all saw how that failed.

Did any of these politicians turn down their £3,400 fuel allowence for both their homes...?
And remember, there is no upper limit on how much MPs can claim for utilities bills.

I don't even use £1000 year for both gas and electric. I switch on 10 min of heating a day during winter to take the chill off the air. Perhaps 5 mins if it is too cold when l get in from work.
OAP shivering??? That's beyond my understanding why let the elderly suffer and freeze to death.
I can handle the cold as l am lowly paid
