Boy Amber, and I thought I was going to have a relaxing evening! Now I'm back to thinking about life and risks and a lot of other stuff you speak of that resonates with me. It is why I follow you, and to see how you are doing it, and to experience the travel vlogs (the rewards of the lifestyle), AND to get my Lily Belle fix (because she is such a doll). I always thought that "find your passion and the money will follow" was a bunch of crap (I'm from a time of being told that you don't want to be a "starving artist"), but I think it is working for you. It's amazing to watch the transformation from when you started to now. I have been following you since the beginning. It was right around the time I experienced a significant loss and was alone with time to think about all I had been through and what lie ahead. I think you can take from it what you want and see what resonates for you, what makes sense. Then go with that. Thank you for hanging on from the beginning. I promise I won't chew gum in your ear again (first video 🤦🏻♀️)! My best advice with this "unrelaxing evening" is to write it all down and get it out of your head so you don't go to sleep thinking about it because then you'll just lay there in bed (if you're like me) for hours thinking through every thing. My husband and I are 45 and 46 and really want to do this sooner than later, he has lost a handful of friends that died right before or after they retired and doesn't want to wait to live our life! I hope to be able to keep my at home job but if not, I hope to find something that will bring in enough income to do this comfortably! Hi, I watched you before Christmas & couldn't find you after. Then I found you again and realized I hadn't subcribed. Brain fart issue. I came home due to covid shutting things off and then mom had a stroke so I made a decison to sell my home in Florida and return to the frozen tundra of Maine where my Summer home is to care for my elderly parents until Im no l9nger needed. That's when I found rv living on line. Well longer story shortened, I've bought an older van and when time is right I hope to travel again and see the places I haven't yet. Like your down to earthiness and honesty about your weight challenge, I've struggled all my life with that too. Anyway, here I am now subscribed and ready to learn. Thank you for sharing so openly as you do.
It's paradoxical or ironic or something in that you're still trading time for money. But after you reach your retirement goal, you can sit in a chair with the drink of your choice and they'll send you a check or three every month. I call it my check of the month club. It cost me 40 years of my time, but I won my bet and outlived my industrial job. I now have the classic three legged retirement stool, a pension, social security, and savings. My favorite day is now Monday. I love the sound of commerce. (As long as it's somebody else slaving away.)

One of the biggest reasons I respect you is because you are straight forward, helpful and real. I’m in sales most of my life and finally at 61, I realized I was giving too much away and not enough to myself. Started having health problems so I changed my game. I wish I was as young as you back then. I’m still consistent with my clients and services but on my terms, over the phone and computer as I travel and try to restore my health, now 63. You keep it up! You have healthy boundaries and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that! You look healthier NOW than when you first started RUclips! P. S EVERY TIME I PAY MY RELIABLE INTERNET I HAVE YOU TO THANK!! Self employed and you gave me the answer I NEEDED!!

I’m in the process of purging, preparing to sell my house and retire - tho I like to think of it as transitioning to the next chapter- leaving AK for full time RV adventures. Just wanted to say Thanks for sharing all travels and how to info. Especially van issues 👍 We also have the same RV and most of the same problems with it. We just added the steel plate under the front and the tire holder on the back door 👍 Also just got back from our 4 weeks in Florida Keys and had 3 more issues while there , The shower is leaking behind the door floor cracked, the front bracket on the awning broke, and the water pump goes on and off intermittently! Fun times haha 😂 but still love the van life. Thanks. Also note the no-see-ums love my wife, now I know why most homes have a screened in porch.
Philip Tarnaski 😊 Ugh the van issues can mount up sometimes but sounds like you're taking it in stride and nice upgrades too. Oh goodness...those pesky noseeums!!! Sorry they loved her. It's no fun at all!!!!! Hopefully she found a way to relieve the pain. I still haven't figured out how to keep them from biting. Full body armor perhaps???? lol
That’s outstanding. I’ve seen some other RUclips vloggers practically beg for money. Hope you bank some of the money for the future or a rainy day. RV maintenance can sometimes be very costly.

Thank you so much!! Interesting. I'm more conservative on my ads when you compare my channel to others. There definitely needs to be a happy balance. It is also how we make money and are able to provide this "free" content to everyone. A lot of work goes into making these videos and providing the content, stories, how-tos, etc that so many people are looking for. Have you seen there is RUclips Red where you can pay to not get ads at all. It might be worth you looking into.
@@storychasing like I said it’s just in my opinion and ironically I hope to do something similar to you - travel nomadically and live free of the 9-5 limitations. My ‘why’ is to get to see my birth parents who I just found pre Covid. Other channels I watch don’t have nearly the amount you do so I guess I watch unusual ones. I do have some idea of the hours you put in to the video process but I’ll get a reality check soon 😂. I truly am glad to see you succeed and especially as a woman who is showing the way. follow your passion, and pick a job that you will enjoy and is fun, I did that, retail pharmacy, and it has provided me with a great retirement. and I enjoyed it, and volunteered quite a bit, and in retirement I continue to volunteer.

Hello, watched two of your VLOGs and have subscribed. It is interesting that you talk about trading money for time. I recently moved back from Europe after my wife passed. I retired from corporate life, but knowing I would need some bridge income before collecting retirement in a few years. I ordered my RV, which was supposed to arrive this month, but now it's July, grrrrrrr. Anyway, my plan was to start VLOGing, but the time commitement seems so significant. Several channels that I follow have said they want to dial back VLOGing because it is so overwhelming in terms of time, which the +40 hours per week you mentioned seems to support that. Anyway, what I do is take short term Gig jobs, they are everywhere. I start a contract job next week for four months and will make about $75k. They have already asked if I would extend past four months and I said I would, but only at 50%, so a few hours a day, or a few days a week, however they prefer. So for me, the idea of learning a new set of skills or utilizing the ones I have put me on a fence, but ultimately I decided on the ones I have. Anyway, I love your entrepreneurial spirit, just wanted to say that there are great opportunities all over the place for us who value time and have to make income while we travel (when I finally can). Keep up the great videos!

I mostly travel the western United States. I live in So California and take off from there. The state and national parks are my favorites and there are some great ones in the West. Actually, I like every place. Even if it’s KOA on my route for a one night stop. More often than not, I have to camp outside the parks and then tour the parks during the day. The parks have gotten really busy and full in the past couple of years. For instance In 2021 I stayed in West Yellowstone and rented a car to drive through YNP and Grand Teton. A few times the geyser basin parking lots and other sites were completely full and you can’t stop. I don’t think I have ever had that problem before. But It is all an adventure and I am happy to be a part of it.
I travel now and then in my Class C, usually travel alone and meet friends here and there. Retired and have home base in Western Colorado, as the pandemic drags alone have been Leary of traveling and not being able to fine RV spots. I like the RV parks as I like electric etc. Do not boondock much.

I also want to get on that waitlist! I know how to setup a business but I sometimes have trouble with finding my niche or what I like to do. The other stuff I can do all it takes is for me to play around just for fun and to just apply myself and implement. I really do enjoy learning and doing things online but my 9-5's take a lot of my time but I'm working on leaving them and working on my business and learning to do things that I need to be able to apply on fiverr and upwork. Getting all that stuff ready! Once I make better income I can then work on my van life stuff

My best advice with this "unrelaxing evening" is to write it all down and get it out of your head so you don't go to sleep thinking about it because then you'll just lay there in bed (if you're like me) for hours thinking through every thing. My husband and I are 45 and 46 and really want to do this sooner than later, he has lost a handful of friends that died right before or after they retired and doesn't want to wait to live our life! Hi, I watched you before Christmas & couldn't find you after. Then I found you again and realized I hadn't subcribed. Brain fart issue. I came home due to covid shutting things off and then mom had a stroke so I made a decison to sell my home in Florida and return to the frozen tundra of Maine where my Summer home is to care for my elderly parents until Im no l9nger needed. That's when I found rv living on line. Well longer story shortened, I've bought an older van and when time is right I hope to travel again and see the places I haven't yet. Like your down to earthiness and honesty about your weight challenge, I've struggled all my life with that too. Anyway, here I am now subscribed and ready to learn. Thank you for sharing so openly as you do.
It's paradoxical or ironic or something in that you're still trading time for money. But after you reach your retirement goal, you can sit in a chair with the drink of your choice and they'll send you a check or three every month. I call it my check of the month club. It cost me 40 years of my time, but I won my bet and outlived my industrial job. I now have the classic three legged retirement stool, a pension, social security, and savings. My favorite day is now Monday. I love the sound of commerce. (As long as it's somebody else slaving away.)

One of the biggest reasons I respect you is because you are straight forward, helpful and real. I’m in sales most of my life and finally at 61, I realized I was giving too much away and not enough to myself. Started having health problems so I changed my game. I wish I was as young as you back then. I’m still consistent with my clients and services but on my terms, over the phone and computer as I travel and try to restore my health, now 63. You keep it up! You have healthy boundaries and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that! You look healthier NOW than when you first started RUclips! P. Just wanted to say Thanks for sharing all travels and how to info. Especially van issues 👍 We also have the same RV and most of the same problems with it. We just added the steel plate under the front and the tire holder on the back door 👍 Also just got back from our 4 weeks in Florida Keys and had 3 more issues while there , The shower is leaking behind the door floor cracked, the front bracket on the awning broke, and the water pump goes on and off intermittently! Fun times haha 😂 but still love the van life. Thanks. Also note the no-see-ums love my wife, now I know why most homes have a screened in porch.
Philip Tarnaski 😊 Ugh the van issues can mount up sometimes but sounds like you're taking it in stride and nice upgrades too. Oh goodness...those pesky noseeums!!! Sorry they loved her. It's no fun at all!!!!! Hopefully she found a way to relieve the pain. I still haven't figured out how to keep them from biting. Full body armor perhaps???? lol
That’s outstanding. I’ve seen some other RUclips vloggers practically beg for money. Hope you bank some of the money for the future or a rainy day. RV maintenance can sometimes be very costly.

Thank you so much!! Interesting. I'm more conservative on my ads when you compare my channel to others. There definitely needs to be a happy balance. It is also how we make money and are able to provide this "free" content to everyone. A lot of work goes into making these videos and providing the content, stories, how-tos, etc that so many people are looking for. Have you seen there is RUclips Red where you can pay to not get ads at all. It might be worth you looking into.

My ‘why’ is to get to see my birth parents who I just found pre Covid. Other channels I watch don’t have nearly the amount you do so I guess I watch unusual ones. I do have some idea of the hours you put in to the video process but I’ll get a reality check soon 😂. I truly am glad to see you succeed and especially as a woman who is showing the way. Hello, watched two of your VLOGs and have subscribed. It is interesting that you talk about trading money for time. I recently moved back from Europe after my wife passed. I retired from corporate life, but knowing I would need some bridge income before collecting retirement in a few years. I ordered my RV, which was supposed to arrive this month, but now it's July, grrrrrrr. Anyway, my plan was to start VLOGing, but the time commitement seems so significant. Several channels that I follow have said they want to dial back VLOGing because it is so overwhelming in terms of time, which the +40 hours per week you mentioned seems to support that. Anyway, what I do is take short term Gig jobs, they are everywhere. I start a contract job next week for four months and will make about $75k. They have already asked if I would extend past four months and I said I would, but only at 50%, so a few hours a day, or a few days a week, however they prefer. So for me, the idea of learning a new set of skills or utilizing the ones I have put me on a fence, but ultimately I decided on the ones I have. Anyway, I love your entrepreneurial spirit, just wanted to say that there are great opportunities all over the place for us who value time and have to make income while we travel (when I finally can). Keep up the great videos!

I mostly travel the western United States. I live in So California and take off from there. The state and national parks are my favorites and there are some great ones in the West. Actually, I like every place. Even if it’s KOA on my route for a one night stop. More often than not, I have to camp outside the parks and then tour the parks during the day. The parks have gotten really busy and full in the past couple of years. For instance In 2021 I stayed in West Yellowstone and rented a car to drive through YNP and Grand Teton. A few times the geyser basin parking lots and other sites were completely full and you can’t stop. I don’t think I have ever had that problem before. But It is all an adventure and I am happy to be a part of it.

I travel now and then in my Class C, usually travel alone and meet friends here and there. Retired and have home base in Western Colorado, as the pandemic drags alone have been Leary of traveling and not being able to fine RV spots. I like the RV parks as I like electric etc. Do not boondock much.

The other stuff I can do all it takes is for me to play around just for fun and to just apply myself and implement. I really do enjoy learning and doing things online but my 9-5's take a lot of my time but I'm working on leaving them and working on my business and learning to do things that I need to be able to apply on fiverr and upwork. Getting all that stuff ready! Once I make better income I can then work on my van life stuff
