    It's very cool how Korean essentially has the "if" and "then" of English conditional sentences rolled all up into one syllable ("면")! Everyone talks about how difficult the language is, and that's not wrong, but it's also beautifully efficient in a lot of ways :)
    I will rewrite this comment in Korean someday, when I have the proficiency to!!

    Korean is supposedly a level 3 difficulty language (the hardest), but compared to Hebrew or German it is much simpler in structure and variables. It just "thinks" differently. My goal is to "think" the Korean way, even with limited vocabulary. The clarity of your classes makes this goals come significantly closer, thank you!!! 👏👏👏

    Interestingly, to ask "what shall I do?" instead of "how" gives a much more direct approach to an instruction. Also in Yiddish we ask a person "what are you doing?" instead of "how are you doing?" It's less abstract and connects the brain to the heart.

    Hi miss.Vicky...I hope this question is not late...I currently understand some basic use of 그래도...my question is that when you combine two sentences using 그래도 into one sentence, what happened to the 그래part? My assumption is that it seems to be dropped.Hope you can provide a deeper explanation.Does 그래 have a meaning of its own to why it seems to be dropped?Sorry for the question after a year of being posted...RUclips's algorithm only now suggested you to my viewing.Thanks so much for this video.

    in the example for 듣다, why was -는 used for 노래 instead of -를? "Even if I listen to this song a lot of times, I don't get tired of it" why was -는 used?

    • @tjpark741
      @tjpark741 3 года назад +2

      It is a slightly different nuance. Basically 는 is used for the "topic" of the sentence.
      내가 이 노래를 여러번 들어도 지겹지 않아: In this sentence, there is no topic. It is just "fact", no more emotion.
      나는 이 노래를 여러번 들어도 지겹지 않아:
      In this sentence, the topic is "me", which means "though other guys feel tired of this song, I don't".
      이 노래는 여러번 들어도 지겹지않아: In this sentence, the topic is the "song", which means "I am not tired of this song, though I am tired of other songs".

    I am very new here and very beginner of korean and I would love to ask if you don't have a video on your channel or if you could make it, a video about how to learn korean. How to start, with what to start. Like a little guide for self-learners. As a self-learner I want to learn as much as possible but there are so many things to learn and I don't have any idea with what to start and I think this is the prize thing why self-learners stop learning the language. Thank you

      Hi Samuel! Yes I am actually working on a video like that. Not sure when it would be up, but I will try to include many tips that I find would be helpful for the learners. :)

      You can reach me with DMs and emails but I haven't been checking them lately so I might not be able to check and respond back right away. But you can also use the app "HiNative" and ask questions to native speakers there. It is a good app to use if you have any questions. :)
