Well, it was predictable. There were rumors about it for the longest time as the "south seas" expansion. What we didn't predict is that they wouldn't make Azshara the cover villain and instead wasted her and went with some generic faction war for the n'th time. None of this Sylvanas/faction war emo BS.
Watching this video in 2020 was amazing. Seeing how you nailed 4 zones of BfA (Kul'Tiras, Zandalar, Nazjatar and Nyalotha) was fun and amazing. Good job and ty for te content.
You say that as a joke, but it might actually be very true. Some time ago I saw this video crafting a theory about Tyr being buried under Tirisfal glades, on account of us not knwing what became of Tyr, of it being named "Tirisfal" ("Tyr's fall") and of the heartbeat sound you hear when you pu your volume up. And then, a few months later, viola. Blizzard did exactly what the fanmade video had predicted. It was so obvious that anyone who had seen it could not have possibly believed that Blizzard had this in their mind when they originally designed Tirisfal, it was so obviously stolen. Just sayin.
yes it is, if they do it reasonably and through an open dialogue with the fanbase. Not if they just watch a fanfiction video and then misappropriate every single idea in it.
the two leaders of the zandalari are dead yes but thier gods still exist. Although zul'jin is dead, his title is open to anyone to claim although I doubt blizzard will let it happen; because they will want only 1 zuljin. Although a better zu;'jin is always appreciated. The real threat is those gods they worshiped; they didn't truly die last time we battled and they can revive dead trolls. Wouldn't be hard for them to revive trolls if it mean't winning :D
Yea the Tel'Abim thing seems more like one of those holiday things. Like on say, July 14th "The Tel'Abim Banana Bonanza" Description: Tel''Abim has had the best bananas ever for decades, but our supplies of them are running short. Go to Tel'Abim and haravest bananas. Your factions will thank you. Now this isn't actually in the game but it should be.
It's just going to be gnomes and goblins dressed in banana suits with some weird rituals that change newcomers into bananas. When they die, it's called a 'split', and they're sent in pairs out into the sea in small boats, side by side, wrapped in bananas and accompanied by three balls that each represent the three phases of a bananas life - conception for a white ball, life and happiness for a red ball and death and 'the browning' (when bananas get old) for the dark ball. Damn, now I really want the Tel'Abim Banana Bonanza to be a real expansion or just a summer holiday content patch.
You kiddin' me? The Old Gods have a history of corrupting underground stuff (ie Deathwing, the Keepers of Ulduar, the Nerubians, etc.) and I could TOTALLY see the Undermine under siege from N'zoth's minions. Plus it'd be a totally awesome new cross-faction hub city that isn't Dalaran (again).
Someone else mentioned that Kul'tiras could be a staging ground for the Alliance into an expansion with the South Seas or with the naga. So the horde could potentially use Undermine as their staging ground? Just a thought
Connor Patrick I can see your point. but remeber the City of Undermine is neutral to both the Alliance and to the Horde. The only reason goblins are a part of the Horde is because of TP Gallywix. The TP's of Undermine are independent.

Wow, with the recent Blizzcon and the details about the upcoming x-pac being released, I've gotta say man you were spot on about Zandalar, Kul-Tiras, the Naga AND the fact it would be oceanic. Wouldn't be surprised if you were right about N'Zoth as well.
I want a second Cataclysm type of expansion. No need to upheave the world again, just expand deeper into the Azeroth lore, oh, and give every single zone world quests to do. Recycle existing quests, add a few new. Endless travelling across the actual vanilla world, exploring it again, ganking, getting ganked. Lovely.
I was thinking this the other day. There are so many places in Azeroth I bet no one really discovers. Or they do so for an achievement via flying over it. When's the last time any set foot in swamp of sorrows? Or the Blasted lands? There's little reason to go back there. It would be nice to make the land of Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms more relevant again.
They tried with cataclysm. They did a tremendous job at remaking lots of zones and their entire questlines but too many players didn't seem to care. it's sad I think because they really did a good job on most of these zones. when I make a new character I try to play in zones I haven't visited in a while or at least not since cataclysm but there are so many...
Perhaps they could revamp the areas? Not change it like cataclysm, but give it a visual upgrade with more density. The original areas are stuck in 2004-07, filled with low polygon models and low resolution textures, while the rest of the game is modern and densely populated. Though I guess it would be unfavourable to those nostalgic for those original areas, and the fact you can revisit them any time. But I've played on and off since TBC and I'm more aware that times change and things need to change in order to grow.
Personally, I believe that all those Kirin Tor "stay in the bubble till the goal" quests, as well as the number of underwater only mounts, are there to prepare us for an undersea / N'zoth expansion
I hope they do a South pole equivalent to Northrend, as speculated by the Red Shirt Guy at a previous blizzcon, all the zones in the south of the continents on Azeroth have a very warm looking climate, the speculation being that this could indicate the equator and everything we see in Azeroth right is is just the Northern Hemisphere. I like the idea of Blizzard doing another MoP style expac and simply taking a tiny bit of lore/speculation and turning it into something much grander that fits with the rest of the game.
Yes, I was suggesting there could be something further south though due to the climate of all southern zones, they are mostly hot/tropical/dessert based. They could add another continent further south is what I am suggesting.
Bellular, you have my thanks for continuing these videos. I know your doing these as dedication to letting Havyens memory live on. Much respect to you man.
An island hopping sailing expansion would make sense. Blizzard could even continue the garrison/order hall mechanic by allowing us to customize our own ship and obtain a crew while we set sail along the seas to battle Azshara and N'zoth.
I would want Order Halls to return in the next expac, but instead of Dalaran Sewers for the Rogues, Plunder Island be the new location. What do you guys think? Should other classes get a new Order Hall in the next expac?
I have a feeling that Azshara will rise some big arse islands everywhere, old continents we havent seen or maybe never heard of, new enemies, dungeons, dangers! That also gets rid of most if not all underwater zones.. maybe, who knows.
The tel'abim is just a marketing scam. they are grown in stranglethorn and then get shipped to all around azeroth. dont buy them if you are expecting bananas from tel'abim. All in all i rate them 2/10 because atleast they tasted good
this would be hilarious. You find a goblin ran field of banana's deep in stranglethorn, it's a bit tricky to get too, the path is hidden by leave and bushes and it doesnt show on the map. When you get there, You see a large field of Banana trees. You wander around for a while until you spot a crate of bananas with "Tel'abim" painted on the side. You then overhear two goblins laugh about how stupid people are that they'll buy anything if it sounds exotic.
I can't help but notice just how many points of BfA content you actually managed to distill into this video a year before the expansion released. Good show, dude.
Loved the video. I'd love to visit Zandalar in game. Also, actually a few weeks ago I told my friend my fun-theory about Tel'abim bananas being spawns of Old Gods making the sailor insane. Also, have a heart for putting "Ts have it" (the music in Bloodsail part)
Places they could use for expansions, which I'm listing in order of how I'd put them chronologically in terms of progressing story. 1. The Dragon Isles (Dragon Expansion) 2. The South Pole (Titan Expansion) 3. Draenor's Other Continent (my reasoning is that we get help from the Titans in the last expansion to time-travel here to stop the A'qir from transplanting Draenor Old Gods to Azeroth in the main time line) 4. The Underdark (A'qir/Old God expansion, related to the transplanted Old God/s mentioned earlier) 5. The Emerald Dream (To heal/prevent more damage caused by the Old Gods to Azeroth in the last expansion, and to open up the planes in the next) 6. The Elemental Planes (Elementals, Sha, Old God, Void/Naaru stuff)
CD GF I dunno, some people me included actually like that the zones all have a connected story line and lead to an over arching plot. What i dont like is that in Legion if you level a character through purely PvP or purely dungeons you get punished for it by not being able to progress.
I despise the time walls. As you advance in a quest, it stops and tells you to go send your champs on a 16hour mission, then you cannot advance the quest until you've completed that order hall mission.
Well, to most people 16 hours is sleep then work give or take an hour so what you should be doing is hold those off until sunday then let it flow while you're at work m8.
To me it does seem extremely likely that there's a bunch of old god activity going on on the back of Azeroth, it does seem like the most logical explanation.
It's great how many of these places you talked about and then right after that (basically) we go there. Shame about the dragon isles though, wrathion talks about going there, for something to help deal with N'zoth and then we just kame-ha-me-ha him and that's the end of both him and the dragon isles. It doesn't get mentioned again afterwards. And we know the next stop is the shadowlands so we won't be going there during that expansion. We've been getting teased with that since warcraft.. 2? And a big tease about it in BFA as a means of defeating N'zoth, then we just green Jesus laser beam him and have no need or further mention of the isles.
Funny looking at this video thinking that we get to see both Kul Tiras and Zandalar in Battle for Azeroth! Great video btw, a lot of interesting places
ok one thing confuses me : there's talk of the behind of azeroth, but what about the bottom? ulduum, sithilus, unguro, tanaris, pandaria, and stranglethorn are all warm, but on the south pole? everyone is so interested in the left and right, what about down?
lol this was so spot on with alot of the stuff that I assumed this was a new video post blizzcon talking about the expansion. But this was released back in May
Thanks So Much ... 1 of the reason I got hook on WoW before BC's release was its massive lore. This was a reminder of all the tales me and my guild mates would talk about.
1. Turn the Great Sea into an overmap zone. 2. Add Player customizable ships. (This could be a test ground for 'spaceships') 3. Introduce Sailing Mechanics (Fishing, Plundering, Treasure Hunting, Salvaging, Harpooning, etc.) 4. PvP Ship Battles (board player ships) 5. Allow docking at major cities, port cities, islands. (No inner-contental travel) 6. Release additional islands as patches. Best expansion ever?
He's talking about that unused spot between Ghostlands and EPL I think, it's blocked off now but you used to be able to go there. It shows as Quel Thalas when you're there and has some old elf ruins in it. They put an invisible bubble over it in Cata and haven't done anything with it yet.
It's not unused, that area is Stratholme. It may be hard to believe, but if you fly up there before you hit the bubble, or check one of the older maps, that huge area is just stratholme. It's cut off because it's a dungeon, but there are secret service entryways I believe.
it's not all Stratholme though, I've been in the area and while Stratholme is a part of it, there is an entire area east of that that is still unused and, as I said, has some elf ruins and blank land and Quel'Thalas pops up on the screen when you enter. There are tons of videos that show it on youtube. Look for "World of Warcraft: Hidden Zone Mystery SOLVED"
Question, mainly pertaining to the B-roll in this video and many of your others. How do you get these panning shots? What tools to do you use? Brilliant video, thanks!
your editor needs to work on the transitions (cutting sentence too early) and sometimes I notice some 1 frame flicks of some object? cant really spot it with timer though.. otherwise its ok to watch :)
Well, knowing that in the next extension we are supposed to go to Argus, and use the Draenei repaired spaceship + the one that the DH have as a class order hall, that could totally make sense to have a new rendering of the world map as spherical ones, so that we can explore planets. And then, the gnomes and the goblins could work out on developing proper spaceships, after years of research on the Area 52 in OT.
I have been writing an expansion exploring places likes the rest of Kezan such as Undermine. As well as the Abyssal Maw. its just for fun but its something im proud of.
Bellular, can you make a video about recording software you use and the setting? also your video editing software + setting also. Great video as always!!
I could see them making the Naga cities rise from the ocean (like Atlantis) and that would pull Kul'Tiras and the Zandalar into the war. If they're suddenly blocked off and facing legions of Naga, it would go to reason that they'd reach out to the Horde and Alliance for help. *Enter the Heroes of Argus to save the day*
It would be awesome to see Kul'Tiras come into a future expansion, perhaps as a Alliance city, with Zandalar being a horde city in some sort of South Seas expansion. I cannot see Kul'Tiras becoming a neutral city given the events that happened during the Rexxar campaign in WC3. Now I know Zandalar is technically sinking into the sea, so there is also the possibility of the Goblin undermine city as a horde-only city.
I'm willing to bet that the next expansion will be the South Seas one. It's been talked about for years and now that Legion is going to include Argus, which was originally speculated by many to be its own expansion, it just seems like the right time to finally bring in those zones with of course the whole Azshara and N'Zoth story lines.
What about the other half of the Goblin starting area, Kezan. Lore says it was supposed to be a tropical island abundant with plants and animals, but all we got to see was the goblin city. I always thought it was strange that Deathwing decided to attack Kezan. The goblins weren't aligned with the Horde at that point, they were just minding their own business and then DW decided to attack them, and then the goblins joined the horde. I think that it has something to do with the Old God N'zoth who was the one responsible for DW's madness and also for the Emerald Nightmare. I remember reading some lore somewhere that he was slumbering beneathe the ocean between the Maelstrom and Uldum, and on the map Kezan is pretty much between the Maelstrom and Uldum. Could this be why DW attacked Kezan, to try and find N'zoth and awaken him?
Zul'Dare, it was an Island home to trolls, and used as a staging point for the Blackrock Clan Orc's in the Second-War to re-supply before making their attack on Hillsbrad, initiating the "Tides of Darkness" second war-campaign.
Also, cant forget Dragon-Isles, they were originaly intended as Vanilla Content-Raid for lvl 70 (original planned lvlcap), and they did make an appearing in Warcraft 2.
You missed a theory similar to the otherside of azeroth that we only see the north side of the equator, or a little bit below. Northerend (northpole) Desert line (Uldum, Silithus, Badlands) and then the jungles north and south of those (Pandaria, Stranglethorn Vale, Ungoro, Feralas). You also have to take into account, much like the olden days, that maps were drawn based on what we can see, this leads to a varying degree of error. (The African continent used to be depicted much differently to how it actually looks). When you look at it from a lore perspective it makes sense that every race on Azeroth has their own version of the map, with similar islands in different places.
Naga sounds like a nice race to play as ion the next expansion! But i just want to play as different types of trolls, i love gurubashi but i think zandalari would work.
Can you make a video about what you think about the idea of a Diablo3-like adventure mode for WoW? Either the whole world would be instanced and scaled like the Broken Isles in Legion or you could access the WoW-Adventure-Mode when you hit max level.
Whats probably going to happen is that Jaina to Kul Tiras. We however need to get to Naz'jatar and we dont have ships that can handle the voyage. So Anduin makes a deal with Jaina to let the alliance use the Kul Tiras ships ( they are marines after all) to take us to and from the staging area for the N'zoth expac. The horde end up staging from Zandalar because they were able to set up a base of operations. Only the Zandalari dont want them there because the Zandlari have aligned with N'zoth and they also dont like the Alliance making segway to Naz'jatar (insert troll dungeons and raid). The alliance ends up having plunder isle as a base of operations since the leader of the pirates is aligned with the rogues.
An expansion filled with all these islands would be sick, like some leveling zones but a shit ton of end game islands taht you can chill at. Island hopping through the re use of the ships would also be sick so we could get all of these in 1 xpac
A small observation - that Argus can not be seen from the Wandering Isle. It is not much information. But it does give us a small locus for it's current location. Just - somewhere on the planet, out of line of sight of Argus.
y\Yeah but like if blizzard knew how planets work they rotate, so theres day and night but we can always see argus in the sky, and it couldnt really be orbiting us as it would still be out of veiw sometimes. Just lack of effort on blizzards behalf.
If all these south seas islands were to enter the game, it will probarly be in conjunction with Azshara/N'zoth, like the starting ground for it, alliance - kul'tiras and horde gets zandalari from some weird lore twist. We get boats to sail, like a shipyard instead of order hall/garrison which we use to get around the south seas and Azshara/N'zoth. That is what i belive :)
"I definitely think Zandalar could make it into the game"
*Flash forward six months*
Zandalar? All i've heard him say is Zalandar the whole time.
looks like you're right
Lol you basically predicted the whole Battle for Azeroth expansion.

When you get there, You see a large field of Banana trees. You wander around for a while until you spot a crate of bananas with "Tel'abim" painted on the side. You then overhear two goblins laugh about how stupid people are that they'll buy anything if it sounds exotic.
Why do you assume Goblin? That's just a hateful anti-gobletic stereotype!
I REALLY like this video, well done. I love exploring and I would like to see all the secrets of Azeroth.
U even nailed it with Nazjatar
i'd like to be able to use my Vash'jr mount again.
I can't help but notice just how many points of BfA content you actually managed to distill into this video a year before the expansion released.
Good show, dude.
Bloodsail iland would be insane. With extra questlines for everyone who earned the title by exterminating bootybay over and over again
When Kul Tiras is now a major part of the next expansion...
And Zandalar as well
Zandalar. When talking about lore, knowing and saying correct names is specially required. Great vid.
Say it with me; Zan-da-lar.
Lee C. Zal-an-dar
Kul Tiras and Zandalar, you hit it right on the nail my dude
Zandalar... Zandalar... Zalandar.. Zalandar...
ZAND-A-LAR
I'm glad I'm not the only one who got bugged by that!
Places they could use for expansions, which I'm listing in order of how I'd put them chronologically in terms of progressing story.
1. The Dragon Isles (Dragon Expansion)
2. The South Pole (Titan Expansion)
3. Draenor's Other Continent (my reasoning is that we get help from the Titans in the last expansion to time-travel here to stop the A'qir from transplanting Draenor Old Gods to Azeroth in the main time line)
4. The Underdark (A'qir/Old God expansion, related to the transplanted Old God/s mentioned earlier)
5. The Emerald Dream (To heal/prevent more damage caused by the Old Gods to Azeroth in the last expansion, and to open up the planes in the next)
6. The Elemental Planes (Elementals, Sha, Old God, Void/Naaru stuff)
wow needs an expansion with vanilla soul, I mean, zones not being involved with a final boss, just its own zone and story
CD GF
I dunno, some people me included actually like that the zones all have a connected story line and lead to an over arching plot.
Really enjoyed the humor in this one. Would totally be down for more lore videos!
Hallow World concept , basically an underground expac involving the old gods
I didnt think much of you talking about Zandalar and Kul tiras until i looked at the publish date of this video.
To me it does seem extremely likely that there's a bunch of old god activity going on on the back of Azeroth, it does seem like the most logical explanation.
Could be that everything is great for the Old Gods there, and everyone else who goes there, dies :P
It's great how many of these places you talked about and then right after that (basically) we go there.
Shame about the dragon isles though, wrathion talks about going there, for something to help deal with N'zoth and then we just
kame-ha-me-ha him and that's the end of both him and the dragon isles.
Banana raid.
Funny looking at this video thinking that we get to see both Kul Tiras and Zandalar in Battle for Azeroth! Great video btw, a lot of interesting places
ok one thing confuses me : there's talk of the behind of azeroth, but what about the bottom? ulduum, sithilus, unguro, tanaris, pandaria, and stranglethorn are all warm, but on the south pole? everyone is so interested in the left and right, what about down?
that makes sense.
It's my belief that that's the equator and we arent seeing half a world, we're seeing a quarter.
although there are globe maps in Ulduar, go check them out
As i recall those globe maps don even show Pandaria or the broken isles. I dont think they're the most accurate
Still doesn't make sense to leave half of the world out
lol this was so spot on with alot of the stuff that I assumed this was a new video post blizzcon talking about the expansion. But this was released back in May
Hmmm.. okey, but where is '' Sunnyglade Village? ' and where is some little isles see in WC3 'BROKEN ISLES' campaign.. mmm
if i'm not wrong sunnyglade is speculated to be where the tower of azora is, just completely destroyed
Dat Dun Morogh tune at the close, still best WoW soundtrack there is
Watching this video 1 year later lol.
Thanks So Much ... 1 of the reason I got hook on WoW before BC's release was its massive lore. This was a reminder of all the tales me and my guild mates would talk about.
What about KEZAN!!
Kezan is already in the game
But just a part of it, all the other part (including the Undermine) has yet to be seen
destroyed in cataclysm
1. Turn the Great Sea into an overmap zone.
2. Add Player customizable ships. (This could be a test ground for 'spaceships')
3. Introduce Sailing Mechanics (Fishing, Plundering, Treasure Hunting, Salvaging, Harpooning, etc.)
4. PvP Ship Battles (board player ships)
5. Allow docking at major cities, port cities, islands. (No inner-contental travel)
6. Release additional islands as patches.
Best expansion ever?
still hoping to go to that unused area on eastetn Kingdoms, behind stratholme and above western plaguelands.
That area IS stratholme.
Brilliant video, thanks!
your editor needs to work on the transitions (cutting sentence too early) and sometimes I notice some 1 frame flicks of some object? cant really spot it with timer though.. otherwise its ok to watch :)
one's at the exact start of second 13:15, just a couple of random windows you cant make out.
Marcus Nörren
That one's an alt-tab. It's the various windows he has open. Not sure why its there but that's what it is.
2019 and oh boy did u ever hit the nail on the head on some of these. nice one :D
Zalandar.
Why do i get notifications so fucking slow
I have been writing an expansion exploring places likes the rest of Kezan such as Undermine. As well as the Abyssal Maw. its just for fun but its something im proud of.
Tel'Abim is also involved, and a bit of skywall thats been fused with Earth elemental features
My money says Kul'thiris is at the bottom of the ocean.
tjmacg what if it is, and there are human naga hybrids!
It would be terrifing!
Dunno why this is recommended, but damn, young Bellular.
nice vid
Råger Rocygeluhs How do you know? 😂
I watched it, what about u?
Råger Rocygeluhs In 2 Minutes? Well done m8. "What about you" Cant say the same since im not a time traveler like you..
I'ts been up for 2 mins ...
I found an Orb in Burning Crusade showing quite a bit of stuff on the back of Azeroth. It's in Shadowmoon Valley by David Wayne.
Bronze dragon detected
Lapidis might refer to a developer, but the 'Isle of Dr.' part is a reference to the Island of Dr. Moreau.
"zalandari" "zalandar"... Enjoyed the vid, but come on man :p
Bellular: "Zalandar"
Me: *stabs self in eye*
you miss the most important one, Quel'thalas
Quel'thalas is just Eversong Woods and Ghostlands.
Also The isle of Quel'Danas
what? Quel'thalas is already in the game since TBC
Kul tiras is somewhere in the sea since cataclysm. So if we get an Azhara/ South seas expansion we may get kul tiras as well.
More relevant to the Legion Expansion is the island of "Balor" being Kul-Tiras owned terratory, being placed south of the tomb of sargeras island.
And little did he know that after Legion we would get Kul Tiras, Zandalar, Nazjatar, and Ny'Alotha all in one expansion.
I could see the Naga and the Zandalari joining forces, with the power both Azshara and Rastakhan have, I could see it.
Algorithm brought me here today (9/6/2021).
Hopefully there WILL be a future for WoW.
love your video. Looking forward to see Kul Tiras in game.
Love watching this when its all current content
Hey @BellularGaming what can you tell us about Zul'Dare?
Awesome intro over Stormwind!
What do you think about adding new sub races?
At about 3:50 cellular refers to the Zandalari and Zandalar as the Zalandari and Zalandar.
Tel'abim banana > Crafted by Mage with name Tel'abim :D
Problem solved)
We already know what's on the backside of Azeroth, it's a giant face named Evan who has a fondness for old music.
