I am taking methotrexate injections for my R.A.its working well, but my hair is thinking.did u have any problems of this kind.LM getting very upset about it.l hope u are doing well.
Ms Magpie it affected my hair and eventually I braved the shave and slowly regrew it. I was taken off the drug as it was affecting my liver beyond an acceptable level. After trying two other drugs, I have been on Lefludomide for two years. This occasionally affects my liver and when it does the dosage is dropped down or I have to take a break from it. Hope all is well with you.
This video was from 2001. Since then, methotrexate has been made available as a pen, so worth asking about this. Having it by injection/pen is less likely to cause stomach related side effects than tablets, but if you've not yet tried it in tablet form, they will often try this first, as it's more convenient to take and you may not have a problem with side effects or might find them to be a manageable level. If you do get stomach related side effects, such as nausea, this can pass with time as your body gets used to the drug.
Thank you for sharing a positive story about Methotrexate!

The same thing happened to me. I couldn’t get out of bed and ended up on Methotrexate and Humira. They help, but I still have pain every day.

Hi guys, I was diagnosed with RA and I am very concerned on the increase risk for cancer when under MTX ... anyone has some thoughts on it please?
I heard there is a new bio similar coming out in place of Humira this month in September.
Hi there - do you know what this new bio similar is called?
thanks
