They really did a good job of making these guys charismatic but still make me fully invested in kicking their asses.

I was thrilled to see Reno back in action. It was really cool to team up with the lads briefly to handle trash mobs. I even caught one of them curing me. They care
It is a very strange relationship. Plus the shock all around when Cloud nearly did kill Elena.

I loved that brief team up I've always believed despite their initial differences the Turks Reno and rude in particular do actually care but obviously working for shinra it is what it is!
I genuinely hated Elena's character and made me want Reno to come back so I was happy to see her seperate from Rude.
@@Bloodhurl67I honestly was expecting Reno to show up during the Turk training Protorelic quest line. He Rude and Elena do fight the party in Gongaga in the OG FF7. I half expected a 3v3 in the combat simulator for the final challenge. Or a three wave fight where to take on the Turks one at a time.

I waited 27 years for that.
Reno and Rude always have the most intense theme. First in Remake and now Rebirth. Really emphasizes the fact that while they might offer some comic relief at times, you really cannot take these guys lightly at all when they're fighting together.
They are both awesome and funny turks

Especially considering that you start this off by fighting alongside the turks to take out the monsters first. Such a nice touch.
@@the_oc_maniac8972ai guests first . A surprising twist is that both Reno and Rude are in the Red XIII situation as AI guests members . The first being the midgar infantry troops .
I just realized. Slowly, the Turks battle theme gets a lot more "Normal FF7 Battle Theme" vibes.
Meaning, slowly, these Turks won't be a fighting problem in the later story.
And in AC, Cloud can easily push away Reno alone.
The Turks really always relied mainly on their technology and wits to win fights. If Chadley were working for them instead of Cloud, they'd probably stay relevant. Reno would turn into a materia hoarder like Yuffie!

I used steal on Reno like 10 times and it didn't work. Do you have to do something specific?
@@SwimmingRobot Lower his hp a good bit. At least to a third or fourth. Keep trying, it’s a hard to get item.
@@SwimmingRobot Also, I can’t remember but I think there’s an accessory or materia useful for increasing steal rates. Maybe a hidden ability with Yuffie.
Edit: There is a Luck Up materia, but I don’t know if that will affect steal rates.

I have such a weird respect for the Turks as characters... They don't have a Gun for an arm, Jenova cells or whatever bullshit main characters have, They are just regular humans just like Tifa and Yuffie that are really good at fighting and they can stand toe to toe with enhanced humans, monsters and the last Cetra. I love how you can probably get a full game out their dynamic, mission centric nature and even their different fighting styles
SE isn't done milking the FF7 franchise so we'll get a fully playable Turks game, i hope.

I know it’s just a game but these guys dropped the plate that killed thousands of people - it makes no sense that Cloud etc would see them as frenemies. They’re as evil as is possible to be!
Tbf, at least in rebirth cloud was gonna send them for their " home coming" but his friends did stop him

Dude…there’s like 4 songs meshed into this one track. All of them bangers. They were on something when they wrote the music for this game
