    The scary thing about bullying is the possible collateral damage it can cause. There's no system to help the victims. One of the worst things that can happen is that the bully comes from a rich family and they get away scot-free. Another bad thing is when the principal downplays the severity of the bullying, saying "They're just kids!!", even though the injuries are obvious. This is what happens in 'all of us are dead', the virus was created by a teacher whose son was bullied, and the principal was like "Come on, they're just kids playing". When the teacher refused to accept that choice, the principal threatened to fire him

      Adults that said "they are just kids" never went through bullying. Kids unlike adults don't have boundaries & don't think about things before doing them, this can end up in serious fights. Sometimes these fights end up in the hospital.

    • @sczdnb5507
      @sczdnb5507 Год назад +6

      @@joshuabuchanan1141 you don't know if the mother went to the principal to talk about the problem. Neither if she went to talk to the parents. This doesn't look like a kid being bullyed every single day but like one who received one bad comment once. And I was bullied one year but it is more important to know how not to be reached by the bad words. The bully attacks the person they know is the weakest (maybe just because is the kindest). If I were the mother, and there was a kid who bullies my son, I would go to the school to talk to the teacher and to the parents. But if it didn't work, I would go to pay another big kid to keep my son safe from the other (so things would still be between kids).

      @sczdnb5507 Год назад +7

      Is unfair, but it is our responsibility to take care of us. Otherwise, most people will take advantage from your situation. It is sad. And I used to think that those persons who took advantage of other were "bad" as I don't do that, at least not at a conscious level. But the truth is that by calling them "bad" I don't resolve the problem. One herself has to be strong enough to keep oneself safe, and then to protect others.

      Ignoring the bully is just step one.
      The next steps will be to ensure we excel despite their tactics and possibly defeat them (mostly). The later steps require courage, skill, manipulation and other complex qualities. But step 1 is foundational and most important.

    • @nomalie
      @nomalie Год назад

      What's wrong with being the better person and building character? The world is a mess, and until humans evolve consciously it will remain that way. Those who can, should work on being better examples.
      Adverse behaviour including bullying comes from immaturity that is unrelated to age. Society is still juvenile, so the more people can handle life with grace, the more the world will turn into a better place for all.

    • @cmendy1809
      @cmendy1809 Год назад

      It can be beneficial to learn from challenging experiences and emerge as a mentally stronger person. However, it is also important to hold bullies accountable for their actions, as their behavior can have severe consequences. When a child experiences bullying, they may carry the hurt and anger with them, and if left unaddressed, it could escalate to a point where the child takes matters into their own hands, leading to fatal outcomes.

    My parents used to tell me to ignore bullies. It's terrible advice. It's been decades and I still haven't recovered.

      Bullies will never go away but we must always find healthy ways of dealing with them. This mother is teaching her son that we shouldn’t let others people’s words destroy our souls.

    There is lots of bullying in schools today and teachers can't often stop it because it's done when they are not looking. This little boy is very smart the way he is listening to his mom. Beautiful family!

    That's a nice mom. I was never bullied before, but I got onto one or two fights when I was younger, mostly with my best friend at the time lol.
    My father taught me to just defend myself if things got physical, thankfully, it never really got to that point, even when it did, I made friends, I miss those times

    Great lesson on how to deal with negative comments. But I wouldn't call that bullying. 4 year olds say wicked things and at age 4 his classmate who criticized his painting might not have intended to make him feel bad - he just didn't know any better. There will be many instances when people would not say positive and encouraging things about our work.

    As a mom I teach my children not to be a bully, and I teach them also that if the bully hurt you physically then nothing's wrong to defend yourself. As long as you are not the one creating the fight first then defend yourself.

    The mother seemed really well educated and influencer so the kid and parents and teachers need to teach em this kind of manners from the beginning.
