Bangla Info : খাসিয়া বা খাসি বাংলাদেশে বসবাসরত একটি মাতৃতান্ত্রিক নৃ-গোষ্ঠি। সমৃদ্ধ সংস্কৃতি ও ঐতিহ্যের অধিকারী এক আদিবাসি জাতিগোষ্ঠী খাসি খাসিয়া। তাঁদের খাবার, পানজুম চাষ ও জীবনযাপনে রয়েছে নানা বৈচিত্র্য আর ঐতিহ্য। পুঞ্জি এলাকায় পাহাড়ের ঢালে ও সমতলে পুরুষেরা পান চাষ ও পান সংগ্রহ করে থাকেন।
English Info : Khasia or Khasi is a matriarchal ethnic group living in Bangladesh. Khasi Khasia is an indigenous ethnic group with a rich culture and tradition. There is variety and tradition in their food, Panjum cultivation and way of life. Panjum farming is the main occupation and source of livelihood of the Khasia community. In the capital area, men cultivate and collect betel on the slopes and plains of the hills.
