- If you guys having a macbook error which says support.apple.com/mac/Startup. -1008F you can follow the video step by step and you will be able to get in the recovery mode.
I have been trying to restore my 2018 MacBook Pro with the 1008F error for over a week following different youtube videos instructions that got me nowhere. Your video instructions worked flawlessly for my MacBook. Thank you.

Just keep trying it it will eventually work it might take a few hours but I tried on the same network like 6 times and it eventually worked

EDIT: If your mac is listed in your iCloud account this error is thrown! You need to delete/remove your mac from iCloud and then you will be able to proceed. Not only that but when you recover your mac you need to use option+command+R, otherwise you will still see 1008F error even after removing the mac from iCloud!
In my case i get the -1008F error
Then I power off, black screen,
I turn it on and hold "options" key.
Mac loads but I do not see the icon for the hard drive. Only I see is "network", I connect to wireless
Then I hold option, control and R at the same time and I am redirected to a screen where I see a blue sphere /planet. I do not see the black and white 'world'.
No progress bar or nothing. It is just a blue sphere with white lines around it.

@@elemashige3613 Yeah i remember i fixed it and that's why I wrote this comment, I guess. Issue is that I do not remember anything from back then. I had a mac for a while, gave it a try, but didn't really like it and sold it. Usually I talk like a kid and you cannot understand me, so try to re-read the comment and extract as much info as possible, if you cannot translate my Bulgarian English, ping me again, I will try to go along with you.

When I press command + option + r noting is hepening. Only when I press the arrow on the screen it starts to recovery but then I get the same error.

@@TheHadhad1000 I had to use my phones hotspot that was the only thing that actually allowed my network recovery to install

GUYS I'm now getting it to work via a bit adaption from Chaudhary's case for Monterey! It seems that you gotta quickly press opt+command+R as soon as you are connected to the network, before the blue Internet recovery entrance shows

still not working, same error (-1008F) every time. tried command + option + R as was shown in video, removed MacBook from cloud, turned off find my function and tried EVERYTHING but still.. same error:// -1008F

@@MuteObserver fixed that with system reinstall in apple support. they have special version of system that will work.

I booted to activation page but due to some reasons i rebooted the device from that time it never boot to activation page again

Repeat the steps. Sometimes, you just bypass the drive to store or other steps, so if you repeat the steps, I think it will work

Hey Gab, I do understand that you are having a problem installing the OS but in your case the software or the hardware isn't the issue the problem is the internet connection. if you have problem in internet please call your support or the alternative way is that you can go friend house and download it or any public library that will solve the issue of internet connection.

There might be problem with internet connection. Did you try another internet connection just make sure if there is a problem or not.

There is problem with internet connection on your side try checking the internet or connect with a different internet connection it will solve the problem
