Hi Johan, the M8S Smart Charger will easily charge your battery. The XT60 Input is DC 7-30V I use the ADP100 ToolKitRC power supply which is 20V. You could use any power supply I would say minimal 12V but it will need a lead with an XT60 connector.
If your radio is set up for Mode 2 you will need to swop the gimbals over to change the throttle to the right stick. Then go into the SYS menu and change the settings to Mode 3. I fly mode 1 and in my opinion you are better flying Mode 1 or 2 in case someone needs to help you.

Hello Bill. Have you done a tx16s from mode 2 to mode 3?
