Question for you. On the S13 front windshield, what have you used for replacement weather stripping? The OEM stuff is $400+, so there must be a universal type that works. I pulled mine back for repainting the roof for rust repair, but a lot of the rubber is torn and won't seat perfectly back in. Thanks for posting video too. This helped with replacing my quarter panel window. I went to 2 pick and pull salvage yards and the quarter panels windows were all broken. I could tell people were trying to pry it off, which caused the glass to shatter. I gave up and got it from an auto recycler that removed it with wire. That U-428 is thick stuff. Now I understand why almost all videos show someone using a drill attachment to dispense it
If you visit our Castle Facebook page you will see the moldings we use on all s-13s, and s-14s. You can check out the molding album, the S-Chassis album, Drift and JDM albums to see the work we have done on all 240s. Send us a message on FB and we can ship out the molding you need for the windshield. I will be shooting a video soon on the install of a molding. So you can check it out for your self before you buy.
Man thank!! you so much for this video, do you recommend removing the rear quarter panel Windows if I'm painting my s13? I saw on both s13's you worked and it seems like there's no rust problems
said torres yes if you where going to paint the car i would, ive seen alot of hatch 240s get painted and after some time ive seen paint peal from the qtr glass area. Also rust is something I have not seen on hatches. Ive removed over a dozen of 240 qtr glass. Also ive done numerous 180sx glass swaps.
Hey I’ve got a question. I have an s14 and it has a weather strip around the glass. Should I use the adhesive to attach the weather strip or should I put it on without and adhesive?
Yes clean the glass and the molding really good and use the same adhesive to glue it in. Shot a small bead around the torn molding and smooth it out with your fingers and let it dry for about 1 hour so that it skims over. Then proceed to glue the whole quarter glass in.
They are not available to the public. You have to be an installer or have an account with the Autoglass distribution centers. But we can sell them to you if you would like to purchase a pair.
I have an R32 video on my channel where I pulled the back glass. And I have pulled all the glass out of many R32s including the QTR glass. I’ll do it super easy any day.
Jr Zendejas-Ruiz there are cheaper ones that have a cord. You will need a power source. You can also find used ones on ebay and craigs list from retired glass men
Robert Rogers there are many different applications. We also use Express by DOW . It has a 1 hour safe druve away time. The U428 cures in 2-3 days, but sense this was for a qtr glass and we taped it down it would be ok.
The way you use the customers 240 as a table tho. Very useful info none the less.
The car was tweaked on the drift track. It was being parted out and off the the scrap yard
Preciate u for makin this brother
You bet
The precision! I thought I was going to do this, but now I realize I'm not doing this. That's a lot of detail!

If you're in a budget what is an alternative for the "Ambush ATV" ?
Jr Zendejas-Ruiz there are cheaper ones that have a cord. You will need a power source. You can also find used ones on ebay and craigs list from retired glass men
