- YOU MUST VISIT JIUFEN 🇹🇼 when in Taipei! (+Yehliu Geopark and Shifen)
In this video, I leave the city of Taipei to go and experience some of the interesting places near the North Coast of Taiwan.
This includes Yehliu Geopark, a beautiful and alien-looking rock formation area along the coast caused by millions of years of erosion.
Shifen is also known for its lanterns and the largest waterfall in Taiwan.
And of course Jiufen, the fairytale town with much resemblance to the film spirited away. Here I also try out the tea ceremony at A-mei Teahouse.

Wow thanks for pointing this out. It can be a hard decision sometimes between traditions and these “once off” kind of experiences and then deciding not to. But for me the natural world is too important, seeing already so much pollution everywhere in the world I couldn’t do this without having a bit of a heavy heart, so I watched from the sidelines. Thank you for this comment though because sometimes I feel like the “party pooper” in certain situations because I am overly conscious of these things. So seeing a comment appreciating that decision really reinforces my decision making to try to impact the environment less. Have a great week 😊
