Gallery gaskets I would just cop a new motor, fuck the cats get test pipes, replace trans fluid, diff fluid and get a tune. I went to Infiniti with my first G and I got hit with the same bill then I fixed everting myself
You think it’s worth it to repair your own car with little experience? I’m thinking of learning the basics to do my own oil changes, and other basic maintenance. Like if I follow a guide step by step I’d be able to do it
Ay man don’t lose hope, I got an 07 impala ss 5.3 shit took it to the dealer they had no clue what they had going on they tried scamming me they had me thinking my valley pan gasket was leaking and my oil pan gasket was bad and needed to replace the pan it’s self ended up being the rear main after I took the car to get fixed at another shop(becuase the dealership was trynna charge 1200 just in labor) when I got the parts and labor done at a local shop for 980 out the door) car was still seeming to have an issue so I didn’t take it back to the Chevy place I just went ahead and got it fixed elsewhere but rn my car needs several things checked out I’ve been wanting a 6th gen camaro but might set that aside and try to hop in a g37s or some then maybe sell the ss but also the 2012 and 2013 model year infinits got the updated gallery pan gasket that wasn’t made of the cheap quark wine top material it was renovated to metal or plastic I forgot but basically took care of that problem but your car is a 2013 if I could remember from one of your other vids and I would def get that diagnosis thoroughly done in some other places to guarantee you it’s that same with the diff, cause seems to be riding good with a bad diff. even if you only do a few things at the dealer, not sure if you know this (most don't) you can negociate prices with dealers on service also cats at a dealer are like 2 grand for a new oem one. just get a birks hi flow cat.
I almost got a g37, but ended up getting a Volvo S60 t6 instead just due to the issues with the gs :/ still nice though got 300hp turbocharged stock awd
If you get it fixed, & continue to follow proper maintenance protocol the car will prob last you a LONG time, you could also however use the money to purchase a newer car rather then spend it on fixing the G…you might not be able to get something as quick as the G but you could probably get something somewhat close in speed & newer & dependable.
Looks like you bought a lemon. It seems to have more issues than it's worth. Maybe get a quote from an independent shop. Always try to get a prepurchase inspection when you're buying a used car.
Make sure everything that they said is actually wrong bro, what exactly would be leaking from the rear diff? The only real problem sounds like the gallery gasket, if you can’t to it yourself it is going to be pricey unfortunately
Everything you said has to be done in any g regardless the year you gotta change trans/transfercase if AWD,diff,coolant and bleed breaks this is mandatory stuff you need new fluids in your vehicle and some on some people the water pumps go out so you might want to change that too with the gallery gaskets but a shop would charge you 1000-1.5k getting the fluids change isn’t that much ethier and for tranny just get a drain-and-refill
The diff fluid change is something you can do yourself. It's right there under the trunk. And i bought one of them cheap $150 ebay cats and it kept the light off long enough for me to past the emmissions test. Infiniti has software updates for the transmission and a fluid change helps a lot. I prefer BG fluid as it shifts smother than the oem fluid. Why don't you show us the paperwork so we can see exactly what they said?
Yo where u from ? i just got a aero package 2012 m37s and it’s flawless 1 owner always serviced at Infiniti I have all service records of 11 years cars like new . It happened twice already it wanted to over heat when idling and once on the drive thru it’s was really hot out both those days . But the car is fine when driving or idling at night everything is perfect drives on freeway no issues just weirdly heats up at idle in the middle of the hot day has only happened twice so really haven’t drove it . Any idea that it could be ?

get test pipes/hfc's, the diff leak always happens, can be fixed with epoxy easily, it's really not the end if you don't want it to be
