Marcus Browne still won this despite the poor final round. Also, Hooper just got brutally KO'd in the first round by some bum with 4 fights. Whereas Browne is 13 (10 KOs)-0 against MUCH better opposition. I guarantee you Browne would savagely KO Hooper inside 2 rounds right now. Browne is the better boxer with a LOT more potential.
Browne's defense was good, and the commentators fell for that just like you have in my opinion, but if you actually look, the way Browne was creating such good defense was by moving constantly and rarely throwing punches. So for 30 seconds at a time when the commentators kept saying "Browne is controlling the distance, Hooper needs to do blah blah blah," they were falling for the bullshit because even though they were correct that Hooper was barely hitting Browne, they were letting that distract them from the fact Browne was barely hitting Hooper either. So the first two rounds really were as even as the judges had them, and then the third round was wide to Hooper. Overall, Hooper was the rightful winner. Only thing I'll say is on REPLAY, a lot of the shots that I scored for him LIVE in the third round did not land cleanly, or not land with the fist of the glove, stuff like that. If you want to judge it precisely by the strict amateur system that _supposedly_ they go by, then maybe it was a draw, because maybe you don't count those punches. Then again Andre Ward won a gold medal with those exact type of punches, slapping punches and so on, so.... just depends what standard you want to use, and if you want to be consistent with it. But definitely Browne either lost the fight, or deserved a draw but not a win, depending on the judging standards for clean punches.
That low rising punch is nuts!

What do you mean Damien Hoopers WBO Light Heavyweight Champion. He hasn't lost a pro fight yet.. A lot of Australian boxers are underrated.
