    I looked specifically for this video. Figured I'd throw my two cents in regarding the new generation of ES that'll be coming out sooner or later. Please please please don't make it a sporty car. Keep those amazing fixed dampers, the incredible sound deadening, and the oh so loveable "boring" aspects. The crowd who wants sporty vehicles are going to buy the german garbage cans on wheels anyway, so just focus on the customer base that actually buys ES's. Here's a list of things that'd be great to see on the new ES.
    1. First and most importantly, PLEASE KEEP THE NATURALLY ASPIRATED V6! It's tried, it's true, and it can run on 87 octane gas which is fantastic! My commute every day is 60 miles 6 days/week. That's 360 miles if I don't do any other driving. If I go anywhere besides to and from work, it'll probably add another 40 miles onto the existing number. So let's say 400 miles per week. Premium gas is usually about $1/gal. more expensive than 87 octane where I live. So if I average 30 MPG, I'd be saving approx. $13/week. When I need an oil change done every 6,000 miles (that's just when I personally change my oil on vehicles), I'll have saved $195 in fuel costs thereby essentially paying for an oil change with quite a bit left over. I know it's being phased out from many vehicles in your line-up, but the ES owners love the current naturally aspirated, reliable, and efficient V6. Please don't get rid of it! If there is ANY way to keep it for another generation or two, please do. I'm sure I speak for a lot of people when I say we'll pay more just to have it as an option.
    2. Design-wise, I'd love to see the touchscreen and gauge cluster tied together under one sweeping dash piece rather than separate. The 2017 LS460 interior dash layout is the best I've ever seen! Obviously the infotainment screen and gauge cluster are divided by a trim piece in the middle, but just get rid of that and you've got exactly what I'd want in an ES. It looks uniform and well thought out. Obviously, the screen would need to be closer to the driver since it is touch-sensitive, but please don't follow the design trend of gluing an iPad to the dash. The new Mercedes S-Class interior looks hideous. It's also a matter of function. If the touchscreen is integrated into and under one sweeping dash line, the sun won't glare off of it nearly as bad either.
    3. I guess that leads me to my third point. Keep up the great work with regards to not having many (if any) glossy plastics on the interior. Glossy plastic (especially piano black) makes everything feel cheap and gets dirty very quickly. Not only this, but any reflective surface in general will undoubtedly catch the sun and redirect it straight into your eyeballs. It's awful. I currently drive a 2002 GMC Yukon XL (will be buying an ES if Lexus keeps focusing on quality and reliability) and I love it because of its' lack of shiny interior surfaces! My folks own a 2022 Chevy 3500HD High Country and the interior is littered with shiny plastics. Know what happens? Whenever I drive it, I get blinded by the reflections of the sun. One thing I really like about it though is that it has physical buttons.
    4. Physical buttons just make sense. The more of 'em, the better. If another button for a frequently used function will fit on the center console, or steering wheel, or anywhere else, put it there. When I'm driving, I like being able to feel the right button in order to turn something on. Going through menus or simply interacting with the touchscreen to turn on a simple function is needlessly complicated, annoying, and borderline dangerous because of distraction. I like the 2024 ES with it's plethora of physical buttons! Keep that good trend going and simply add more buttons to the existing set. Can you tell I like buttons? Anyways.
    5. The interior colors that are currently being used are nice. I personally like the Brown leather with the Black wood grain. I also love the fact that the surfaces right under the windshield are all black. Why? Glare reduction. Black is very good at absorbing light and not reflecting back onto the interior of the windshield. Better visibility. They also do this in aviation to reduce the glare. So keep up the good work on keeping the surfaces directly under the windshield Black.
    6. Being able to fold the back seats down would be an absolute win for you guys! That'd bring the ES back into so many people's car buying considerations just by implementing that feature alone. Some extra lighting in the trunk area wouldn't hurt either.
    7. I could go on forever with things I'd love to see in the new ES and things that I'd like kept around, but I'll stop with this last request. Please keep the ES a reliable, comfortable, and very quiet LUXURY car. Strong emphasis on the word luxury. In a world where everything is trying to be "sporty", the ES still remains a relatively simple (aka reliable) luxury car that many people still want. The people who buy this (me) don't want variable suspension, adaptive ride height, or any other suspension that's going to cost a kidney to replace when the time comes. This goes for any other aspect of the car as well. We just want a car that works and is easy to maintain; with the afformentioned couch-like ride and whisper quiet interior of course ;) . Thanks.

    Dear lexus
    I live in sweden and I own a lexus es 300h, and in sweden we only get the 300h model and it does not has a powerful engine. So I request you guys to give us a powerful engine and a allwheel drive system and it would really be awesome that guys can make plug in hybrid like the toyota rav4 prime, I am a lexus fan a lexus guy and I have driven lexus all my life and I request you guys to make the lexus es300h mechanically same as the toyota rav4 prime. I think it would be a eye-catching, environmental and the last but not least it would be fast like more than 300 horsepower.

    • @gwot
      @gwot 3 года назад +2

      If Sweden is anything like Taiwan, the reason why you only get the hybrid model is because of emissions, not because Lexus didn't want to. In North America they still get the 350 V6. But a ES Prime would probably be emissions compliant, and would be amazing.

      @@n.4847 it's kinda an awkward middle ground. Lexus doesn't have the fan base of the Germans and Lexus also operates on bigger profit margins and less inclined to make expensive and high performance, or low sales vehicles. The ES is Lexus' best selling sedan, it does everything well for cheaper and more value than the GS even if the GS is better. and rich people buy the LS. The GS is just in such a niche crowd, you have to specifically like the GS to get the GS.

In order to change to an electric vehicle generation, electric vehicles must be charged in less than 5 seconds, but in 1 minute The general public rides, and with such a long charging, the general public doesn't buy an electric car. If all car brands want to change all cars with electric cars, Even if it is not feasible to charge electricity while running, you need to develop a method of charging in 5 seconds to 1 minute before you can change a car with an electric car. People hate to use the car as complicated as a mobile phone. For example, rather than a dial gear This is why the gear bar is comfortable
