I think the good thing about the containers is that it keeps the food fresh, so you can invest in a variety of snacks and buy them all at once to keep themfor a while, instead of just buying a couple at a time. Probably ends up costing the same, just not spread out over time. Different budgeting.

Because they are air tight so it makes the cereal and whatever else last longer. Also makes it easier to see how much you have left.
