The 3d view in the gun store has that function too. Pick a gun, go to 3d view, then you can scroll the shooting distance in or out (mouse wheel on pc, no idea what it is on console)
Is there any website or resource to learn audio distances for footsteps, sound traps etc? Basically the things that aren't just different weapon sounds? I find myself misjudging how close or far enemies are so often. Sometimes they're running and they sound so close to me in the forest, but they're actually 2 or 3 dirt mounds away and I end up getting shot because I think they're on the same dirt mound as me, for example.
For the most part horses don’t yell/neigh unless they have a hunter in sight then repeated neighing if spooked. But with dogs even I’m still learning when it is just an initial bark versus a player in sight.
There's a better interactive damage chart available on google docs. Just look up "[1.3 Patch 1] Damage Chart with Hit Locations". It's old enough that the Dolch is listed as doing 110 damage, but every other gun is accurate from what I know.

There is another map site that's been around forever. It's called Huntbreakdown. Needs more updating for maps but you can see distances create a circle of the distance etc. Also let's you cycle through allot of the weapons and see those damage on different body parts and thier falloff ranges as well too. Huntbreakdown
I remember a hunt map viewer that allowed to you draw circles (great for figuring out how far scan range is), boss spawns, watch tower locations, and much more. However nowadays the URL links to some spyware website. Shame, since it was much better than the current map website.
now Crytek shld learn how to not run test servers on the same branch as original servers so we don't get 150ping + all the time. Oh yea, nice sites. Its a bit tryhard but if it helps :D
While I definitely appreciate the work the contributors have put in on the official Hunt wiki, "fandom" is absolute steaming garbage. It's an organizational and formatting nightmare, even in your video it looks completely ridiculous with huge unused spaces. Never mind trying to get usable information out of it. Prestige is the notable exception and maybe the lore if you don't want to boot up the game to read the lore. Seriously though, the whole "fandom" format sucks and they have ruined every game wiki and by the looks of it, the intend to ruin every game wiki in existence.
You're forgetting the most important website which is apex gun parts because instead of buying the millionth cosmetic dlc you can put that money towards something productive like an uzi parts kits for cheaper than you think
I can't hear the difference between lebel and mosin if they are 300m+ away. I am curious cus quite some time ago i used to hear the difference, is my hearing damaged or did they change something?

@@marcococcia2250 The doc is updated to 1.5.1 at this point, which was just after custom ammo was added. It just says 1.3 in the reddit post.

Why not just use the 3d view for sounds in the actual game, if you need 5m to understand what a gun is then you are too close.
The website is timesaver and way easier to compare it to other guns or distances
