While I do appreciate a character who is a female soviet sniper (this actually happened), there is no way in hell she'd be on a joint operation with troops from the western allies. And the Aussie with an Owen SMG was a nice touch.
Funnily enough a much more believable game would have been a team of allied soldiers getting captured by the Germans and then sent to a work camp that gets liberated by the russians. Then we could see the Russian march across Eastern Europe to Berlin.
Yeah in the historical context that followed that team would have fragmented with Petrova (probably based on Lyudmila Pavlichenko also known as "Lady Death" with 309 confirmed kills) going/forced back to the USSR.
Yeah and the last (Shuri Castle) mission was terrifying near the end. The surrender and the subsequent kamikaze last stand was a really grim and stressful moment to play through the first time.

God I wish they'd do some actual research into the historical significance of the different battles. Yes, Midway was when the Japanese lost the war. But only because we lucked out and sunk 4 aircraft carriers. And the attacks from our carrier-based planes got lost, struggled to find the Japanese fleet, and got really fortunate. The torpedo bombers arrived first, and were torn to shreds by Japanese fighters. Not that it mattered much, the torpedo we had at the time almost never worked. Then while the Japanese planes were refueling and rearming, the dive bombers showed up and we know the rest. There was no way of knowing this was the turning point going into the battle. As for Stalingrad, the city itself was relatively inconsequential. It was the control of the Volga river that mattered, but the Nazis kept sending more troops because of the name. And in doing so, they defeated themselves. And the germans greatly over extended their supply lines, and starvation, exposure and disease killed more german troops than anything else.

I just finished this game, holy shit is it bad, they didn't even try with this game, I get its cod but holy shit this is terrible, anyone with even a mild understanding of history should get pissed of at this
Actually I have an understanding of history and while they screw with a lot of weapons for gameplay purposes that’s not new for ww2 games, and even world at war did it, plus this game actually included way more lesser know history than most ppl think, for example the first black British paratrooper was dropped with the 6th airborne division on d day, Australian troops were used more in North Africa and Italy cause they could fight better in the heat, a lot of civilians were present and took part in the battle of Stalingrad especially as manpower would deplete and reinforcements couldn’t come in, dive bombers and torpedo bombers actually were getting ambushed and shot down by zeros cause they were launched with no escort during the battle of midway, even little details like torpedo bombers going down more frequently and dive bomber hitting the red sun on carriers is very similar to real life where torpedo bombers suffered a lot of casualties, and even the 93rd infantry division was an all black division of all black soldiers who did fight on the Numa numa trail, they even make reference to how they’re not serving coffee or loading trucks like most black soldiers in America which most ww2 games never talk about, they do sacrifice some details for story telling plot elements and gameplay purposes but in all honesty that’s typical cause a real ww2 game that’s that accurate does not play the same as cod is used to
This game honestly had more historical integrity than bfV cause that game purposely misrepresented history while passing it off as fact this game actually had a background in history and I can respect that,
I like at how 1:22:00 his flying is as good as a trainee in a bi plane, you always gotta lead the target, aim where the planes heading, same goes for the soldiers running, shot gun is key up close and MP40 is worse than the STG
One thing this game did right It real puts you in perspective in how far reaching this war was being fought in close to half the world. It’s mind blowing
When playing games i usually act like what the character or what the soldier will do. So i often take cover, move up slowly and check corner. So seeing they play like a super hero on crack is kinna put me off. Oh well come here for the story anyway.
I like the plot idea but my inner historian is killing me with the small inaccuracies. Call of Duty: RESURGENCE Lots of those plots bear fruition. It's actually good, but I hoped next either Sledgehammer Games, Treyarch, or Infinity Ward would make a COD that's set in World War 1, or maybe the Korean War.
no one would want to play a WWI game, although games dedicated to Korea, Vietnam, and Iraq could be interested (three separate games, and not like black ops where they're just a convenient backdrop for the story)
So much missed potential here for a modern good ww2 game. It looks so good, and the story seems to be not that bad. If they just would take more then 1 year of development… cod could reinvent themselves and could make actually some nice games with depth and memorable moments. But no, they go with the cash grab mode every f*cking year.
Story is not exactly original: this is the 4th time they milked Stalingrad, WWII contents are probably redundant at this point, we got diversity and race stuff bla bla bla (as expected), too many tropes (the charming American, the Russian woman who doesn't give a fuck, the potty mouth Australian, and so on), but it was interesting. It seems the theme of this campaign is sacrifice, lost, and "honor fallen soldiers", no surprise there. Cutscenes are of blockbuster quality. The best thing about the cast is Mozzie but that's coming from someone who lived in Australia. I'm biased so I'm gonna go ahead and say I enjoyed Lucas's story. The Aussie rude humor and profanity is something I can never get enough of. The battle of Midway is pretty accurate as far as I know, we got a dog fight so that's new for COD, which I liked. However, it was disappointing not getting Banzai PTSD. I thought they were gonna sprinkle in some throwbacks to World at War and COD 1, 2 during Polina's flashbacks but noooope, it had to be Projekt Nova at the very end. Still, Misha's sacrifice was well-done so I'll overlook that. I just wish they gave us a Reznov and Dimitri cameo but, eh, it doesn't matter. The Brits' story was okay, I felt bad for Tommy, though. Now that's something, because dude had like 45 seconds of screen time, and about a handfull of dialogues. That being said, side characters are killed off where it's necessary, imo. Their deaths did have impacts on the story so this campaign isn't terrible. It could have been better if the villain's purpose was better presented. Freisinger was simply an selfish, evil twat with anger issues. Richter, he was just a desperate "little mouse", a sad little man who was running out of time. Vanguard's antagonists died without giving me any satisfaction like Dragovich, Kravchenko, Steiner. Overall, story is okay, mechanics and historical accuracy are okay (?), physics are a little wack, sound design is excellent, graphics are amazing. 7/10.
Looks sync'd to me brotha, unless it's one specific spot you mean that might have fallen of the rails. But I do agree on NVenc.. Renders so fast, sometimes you have to. What do you use? Just straight with the processor?
@@glp yeah, it gets fine in the last third, but a part of the Japanese missions is out of sync. I use both graphics card and CPU render depending on resolution and length

I'll not play or buy the game, just not me. But fudge me it looks awesome. Though I do have reservations on a lot of things.... not going to ruin it for peeps still thinking about buying it. Looks fun though
The cutscenes are good, it's just a shame they blatantly ported mechanics from war zone into a ww2 game. That and all the fancy stuff like drum magazines and stg 44s in the Pacific. Just bring back classic ww2 cod like cod 2, its like they just look down on gamers these days and say oh no one would like an actual solid ww2 cod like cod 2, just throw in all the modern tropes. I'll pass on this one until they do make a proper ww2 one, I just get pulled out of the immersion because of all the tropes and the unrealistic stuff they've put it together with the laziness of reusing war zone mechanics like the sprint and reload mechanics.
This is an anomaly, where I believe the story and characters is well crafted, but the whole experience is ruined by being set in a real life historical event, where there’s is historical inaccuracies EVERYWHERE. Is this was like a steampunk type world or time period, this would’ve been an amazing story but it’s sadly not
Love they went with a russian female Sharpshooter, this doesn't feels intrusive, even realistic unlike Battlefields female soldiers. It's not about females in combat roles btw., if they turn up in the future games it's realistic especially with exosuits since this levels the huge gap between male and female combatants. And the designer of the map didn't speak german, it's Mittelmeer not Mittlemeer.
The main story of Vanguard sounds a lot like The Dirty Dozen, Where Eagles Dare, Inglorious Basterds, MOH and Sniper Elite
What is Project Phoenix?

ive only seen stalingrad in WAW and here
and probably cod 1 and 2as well
55:54 honestly scared the shit outta me idk why 🤣
It could be better. They again involve politics, the physics are bad and the uniforms are not historically accurate. Same case with Battlefield
Not synchronized starting from the middle.. Don't use that nvenc render, it fcks up the synchronization.
I like Lucas, he really is just your everyday soldier, who cares for his brothers in arms,...or in this case,...sorry to all Australians, his mates,
I swear there’s a few reload animations where they appear to have 3 hands…
you're not worth. one of the best line of this game I love it the story and the cutscene 😄😄😄
I know this video was 2 years ago but slow down your main character is moving like a kid on Christmas
Lol new game every year. Just the previous game remodeled. Sucks.
I'm waiting Bro :)
Step 1: hand your ps5 controller to an ape
Step 2: record the ape's gameplay
Step 3: profit
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Why are there StG 44s in Stalingrad, also why are the Japanese using StG 44s?
i dislike scenarios that only have one option. drives me crazy when i cant change the story trick my self around use stealth. i want to play this game but its crazy constrained to the story line. ah well.
interesting they haven't mentioned the white army they aren't dead yet in polianyas year
Awesome that we fight with Howards brother from cod ww2 in this game
Very glad I didn't spend $60 on this MW Reskin DLC.
Stalingrad mission gives me Enemy at the Gates vibe ngl..
Possibly the most generic first person shooter i have ever laid eyes on.
oh please. counter-strike takes that cake
the flare dude who ran off sounds exactly like cod united offensive mission 2
and it seems historically off, did the stg44 even exist back in 1941-43
@Ewan Callister what if it matters to others, such as myself? a bare amount of this is about ww2, a good amount of it is the same thing
and that lucas riggs guy sometimes sounds like a youtuber begging for subs. poor va?
oh forgot James Noah is at the end of the movie on here he is playing as debookE123.
I love this call of duty movie
I'll not play or buy the game, just not me. But fudge me it looks awesome. Though I do have reservations on a lot of things.... not going to ruin it for peeps still thinking about buying it. Looks fun though
At what point does historical inaccuracy become mockery?
Not all that original of an idea but i enjoyed
Grandthumb demands a blood sacrifice
1:05:37 well damn I miss the Assassin's Creed intro?😂 scales that shit fast af
Is this was like a steampunk type world or time period, this would’ve been an amazing story but it’s sadly not
Awesome Game Mobile as Always in this Channel.
But i have to say, the voice acting in this Game is dissapointing to say the least.
Wow thank God I didn't spend money on this
Man call of duty just keeps getting worse and worse. Good video though keep up the good work
thank uuu
Curious why they always avoid the Vietnam theme....
Literally most of Cold War was vietnam. Although you probably skipped that one
@@FF7Cloud cold war also had the black ops style mind-melting stuff, so it really wasn't a Vietnam game.
