I LOVE how Caniks are ALWAYS compared to guns that cost almost twice the price. Just shows you how damn good a Canik really is.
🗣💯🦾🦾🦾🦾🦾
I went with the Canik. Love it.
Sweet!
Just because of the price, ppq it's way better
I have had a lot of pistols over the years and I have two Canik pistols that I will never part with. I have a Canik TP 9SF that I have had for three years and it has never malfunctioned once in any way. I also have the new Canik TP 9SF Elite SC and it's a really good gun. People like to say that the Canik line up is good for the money or they are okay for a budget gun. That irritates me because of the quality of the Canik pistols, especially the new models. My Elite SC has all internal parts nickel plated and it is very well built with quality that you would expect to see in a gun with double the price tag.
Just bought elite sc with optic, NICE PUPPY😎😎
Same. I have the TP9 SC Elite as well. I will own this gun for the life of the pistol. It’s very well made and is extremely accurate.
Same, I have the TP9 DA and I love it. I will be replacing my Taurus G2C with Canik SC as my EDC Canik has completely won me over with the top notch quality of their guns
I had one. Barrel chipped . When the Barrel and mags are the guts I like a barrel that is made from 1 solid peice if steel. Jmo. DON'T LIKE CANIKS
You really chose a tough comparison I'd like the Canik I believe.
Thank Iowa! I thought it would be interesting. Excited to hear what everybody says!
Let's review your selection: 1) You picked the PPQ costing $200 more than the Canik. 2) You picked the PPQ having a plastic guide rod over the metal guide rod in the Canik. 3) You picked the PPQ that has plastic sights over the metal Warren Tactical Sights on the Canik. 4) You replaced the PPQ sights with Meporlight night sights increasing the cost of the PPQ by another $100. 5) You picked the PPQ that has a trigger pull weight of 5 pounds over the 4 pound pull weight on the Canik trigger.
MAKES PERFECT SENSE TO ME?????
Thanks for the comment. That's why it's an "if I could only have one" comparison. There really are no rules here. It's the beauty of having my own channel to do reviews the way I see it. Pretty sure I pointed quite a bit of that out too. Did you watch the whole video? Seems that lots of people enjoy that. That said, I'd love to see your comparison videos. Do you have any? If so, what rules do you follow? Let me know what you have done. Cheers and thanks for stopping by!
I'm not nearly as experienced as many of you but seems to me you're right: plastic guide rod, cheap plastic sights, etc. Same thing is true for Glocks and others. The Canik's long term reliability also is starting to be proven. I've also seen very few bad reviews on 'em. And the one I saw that said they didn't like the trigger I have to discount, as many have said the TP9SF has one of the best triggers at any price according to the the vast majority. At this point it looks like the prices are even lower for the Caniks. My local gun shop has them for $284 currently. It's a no brainer, esp. if you're on a budget.
You also totally omitted the fact that you get a good quality case and a 2 backstraps, although only one mag in order to reduce cost
not to mention the 1/4 inch reset on the Canik trigger
Good god. I drink coffee stronger than yalls feelings. Getting butthurt over a RUclips video.
Unlike many, I didn’t get this gun based on price. It came to my attention on a Guns America article about the assassination of a Russian diplomat. I figured if an assassin chose this firearm, it must be good.... I began looking a reviews, video and print... They were mostly glowing. Most began with either the comparative low cost or a comparison with a Glock 19... The factor that greatly impacts the cost of this gun is labor....not materials, technology or fit and finish. Gun buyers may need to more carefully judge a firearm based on something other than cost or name recognition. The biggest negative I’ve heard about this gun is the lack of responsive customer service from the importer, Century Arms. That’s not a small issue, but it’s more easily remedied than say a poor trigger. The trigger of this gun receives universal praise....So, if you’re in the market for a well made 15+1 striker fired semi-auto, don’t be reluctant because you’re unfamiliar with the name, or skeptical about the price.
He was a Turkish police officer. It's basically the firearm they're issued. If they were issued the PPQ, he probably would've went with that. Just saying. lol
zzseamlezz Saddens us all. Some people were working against TR and poor diplomat got the sad end to that story. RIP
yes their customer service sucks. they won't sell any parts such as triggers, etc.. i needed the roll pin replaced on the takedown levers as it had cracked during the installation of a fat daddy trigger. it took two weeks for them to even reply. total time was one month and two days to get the part. it is a great gun but the roll pin/ takedown levers design leaves a lot to be desired.
I shot the Canik better than any of my guns. It's a great shooter!
Agreed Frank. It’s a great shooter for sure and a fantastic trigger out of the box. Thanks and cheers!
This may be a fact. But it doesn't mean much if all your other guns suck
Had both, kep the Canik, slightly better accuracy, better ergonomics, nicer gun, much better trigger, slightly better reliability, but both are very reiiable.
Probably the first person I’ve ever seen who prefers the trigger on the canik
@@George-lp2ij you don't get out very much do you.
Lets not forget that the canik comes with a match grade barrel, holster, backstraps, extra fiber optic inserts and all kinds of fuckery! Hell, the sights are even dovetailed! For $400?? This is a great gun. Even in the $500-$600 range, who is doing better than that?
Great points Jonte! At that price, you do get a fantastic gun for sure. Thank you and cheers!
I just bought mine for $330 bucks. Now Im a Canik Fanatic
@@warrenstephens3705 where did you purchase for that price?
@@brianbrown4693
A local gun store in my area,
Wild Bills Guns and Pawn, Abilene Texas.
It was new in the hard box with a real nice holster, 2 mags, a back strap, a mag loader, and some cleaning tools.
@@warrenstephens3705 picked mine up for $325. Great gun.
Excellent video. Great of you to compare both of these. From your measurements on the triggers, I see why I favored the Canik' trigger. Great job. You could not go wrong with either gun.
Tony Ascione thanks Tony! I agree they are both great. Happy to have both in the collection! I agree the Canik trigger is awesome. Cheers!
Great video. you will understand the quality of this pistol (canik) after many years. I've tested it in very demanding conditions.
Right on! Thank you and cheers!
I'd have to go with PPQ at the moment because it's the only one I have experienced so far. Cool to see your channel growing!!
Thanks Doug! Both really are great guns. More comparisons on the way. Cheers!
So, if I had $%%0 to $600 to drop, get the PPQ, of course. If I only have $350 to $400? Then it's Canik all the way, and I'd be very happy about it.
Love my Canik TP9SF Elite ! have about 500 rounds down the pipe now with zero problems, and that trigger and reset ,oh my !! best striker fired trigger I've ever shot .. Ergo wise of the "polymer wonder 9's" my XD mod2 4.0 service model easily feels the best of any polymer gun I've ever held .. great video here , I need to pick up a PPQ M2 after seeing your review for sure
Thank you Josh! It's a great gun indeed, as is the MOD 2. Big fan here! Thanks again and cheers!
I have both!! i paid for the elite 390 and i found a PPQ M2 used in my local gun shop in really ,really good condition for 350. Great guns love them!!
Milton Bernal thanks for the comment! Great guns at great prices! Cheers brother
Well I went with the Walther and dumped almost all my glocks...the Walther is that good....to me.
Right on! They are good guns for sure. Thank you and cheers brother!
The PPQ with an APEX Flat Face Trigger installed is the best trigger I have experienced on a pistol. For just a stock trigger I liked the Canik better than the PPQ.
Thanks for the comment and thought! I've heard great things about the apex and hope to try one out at some point. Cheers!
The canik with a freedomsmith is really good too
I own both guns plus a Glock 19. If I could only keep one, it would be the PPQ hands down! I like my Glock, Love my Elite, And really love my PPQ.
Thanks Joe! Great collection! Walther did it right when they made the PPQ, no doubt. Cheers brother!
Canik all day.
+Billy Hines they are a great choice for sure Billy! Thanks for the comment and cheers!
I have both, I love both and I'll keep both...
That's awesome Milton! Both great shooters for sure. Thank you and cheers!
@Milton Bernal can you use your Walther Mags in you tp9sf elite?
@@GravelGuerrilla I have both, and you can use the long mags in either gun, as long as they are long enough. Just like using Glock 17 mags in a Glock 19, but you can't use Glock 19 mags in the Glock 17, because they are not long enough. The 20 round Canik mags work perfectly in my Q5 Match.
Great video bro. I just bought the Elite on a deal I couldn't pass but I've wanted a PPQ also for sometime. I'd get both but I'm stacking way to many 9mms at the moment. CZ is my main preference but all the modern 9mms are great weapons nowadays it seems.
Thank you Scott! I think you'll enjoy the Elite. I agree, there are lots of awesome choices out there. CZ is definitely worth checking out! Cheers brother
Bought a Canik Elite took it to the range it keeps jamming been trying to send it back to Century Arms with no luck been 4 months now Century Arms has the worst customer service their a real mess.
Love my canik tp9sf elite. Right out of the box, it shoots perfectly. I have no trouble at all acquiring my target and with that trigger, its just a dream to shoot. I personally have never had trouble with jamming, HOWEVER it is VERY effected by "limp wrist syndrome". I have a very rigid grip and stance when shooting so i havent had an issue with it. Handed it to my mom, who is a less experienced handgun shooter, jammed every. Single. Shot. So i do love the gun, i got the limited release od green and bronze model. Love it. Looks better than any of the polymer guns i own or that my friends own. But if youre not experienced with handguns and tend to limp wrist, you will have trouble. This, however, also exposes poor form and shows where you as a shooter need to improve which is something i like.
Very interesting! Thank you and cheers!
I acknowledge the quality and track record of the PPQ and I also find it to have the best ergos. That said, I found a sale on the Elite for $329 in Feb 2018 and had to try it. Best pistol purchase I’ve made in years. 1700 flawless rounds and zero regrets. Replacing the firing pin block plunger spring with one from Cajun Gun Works takes a full pound off the trigger and really smooths it out. I have a tutorial on my channel.
That's awesome! Thank you for sharing. Cheers!
I currently own a Tp9sf elite and I love it. I've owned the PPQ M2 and I loved it. This is a great comparison video. The only way I've ever been able to explain the PPQ is that it's very easy to shoot well. If you have the extra money, buy the PPQ. But value for money spent, the Canik can't be beat by any manufacturer.
Thanks Shannon! You summed it all up perfectly. In the end, they are both great guns with just a little money separating them. Cheers!
Nazi gun or jihadi gun, which should I choose? I know, i'll buy an American gun!! MAGA
@@chiefmuddybear5759 America does just as much terrorism as anyone else. Fuck trump.

As always great information on some nice guns.
Gerald Weldin thanks Gerald! I appreciate it man
So this one was the start of the “If I Could Only Have One” series huh? I REALLY like these videos! Great video for two awesome handguns. Apparently I have some catching up to do. LOL
Lol, yup! That started it all I suppose. I haven't gone back to watch any of the older ones in a long time. I do agree that both of those are great guns with amazing triggers! Thank you and cheers Kratos!
Good comparison and info vid...I hear they both have good triggers as thanks for sharing...Good stuff...
Scott F. Thanks Scott! Always a pleasure brother!
Nice video and shooting. I have some experience with the PPQ and TP9SF, a little more with the PPQ. Have yet to try the SF Elite but the SF is amazing. And the PPQ would be perfect (imo) if not for the muzzle flip, though I guess an aftermarket guide rod can remedy that. The TP9SF is a nice soft shooter. Both have sweet triggers. As great as it has been, it still feels like the PPQ doesn't get the recognition it deserves.
Thanks for the great comments Miguel! I agree the PPQ is a great gun and a little under-rated some times. I do agree that there is a little more flip with it than some other guns on the market. Cheers brother!
Great Review Brother! I like my PPQ, I haven't shot the Elite yet! Thanks for the thumbnail @ the end! Carry On!
Big Johnson Guns & Gear thanks brother! You need to come back and shoot the Elite!
From personal experience, the Turkish Canik TP-9 series is more reliable than the Walther PPQ. By reliable I mean it eats up any ammo I put in it. Walther, like most German made handguns, have certain ammo preferences. I love the ergonomics of the PPQ, but the Canik is hands down the better value and more rugged operation.
Thanks for the comment and great thoughts! There are many that share your view on the two indeed. Cheers DMC!
Ummm no. That's a retarded statement.
My personal favorite handgun manufacturers are: Carl Walther, second CZ, and then Canik. I own two models of each of those three gun makers: a Walther PDP full size and a compact, a CZ P10 F and a C suppressor-ready, and a Canik TP9 SF and a TP9 DA. All of them outstanding modern combat handguns.
Thanks for the video. I keep hearing good things about the Canik TP9 however, non available at the ranges I go to. I did pick up the PPQ M2, and love it!!! As it relates to long term use, how is the durability/reliability of the Canik TP9?
Great comparison on some nice pistols. In short, I'd choose the PPQ. That SF Elite looks very nice, but the PPQ has a long track record of proven excellence. That said, I need to get my hands on that SF elite model, I already own several PPQ's.
Thanks Fu! They are both fantastic guns. For the money, the Canik is pretty awesome but the PPQ is a really solid gun with a fantastic trigger and ergonomics. Cheers brother!
So, i have a choice right now between a Canik TP9SF which is brand new, but for 60€ more i can get a Walther P99 second hand (which still looks brand new) any suggestions on what choice i should make?
But do the ppq m2 mags feed the tp9sf elite?
I have both, and love both. The walther accompanies me everywhere. The Canik is locked center console of the pick-up. I do believe I shoot the Walther better, more accurately, but one must be careful with the light trigger pull. To date, it has gone off prematurely in my hand twice...Hey, that's what she said!
Which trigger were you referring to? Canik or PPQ?
Cool review! What sights did you put on your PPQ? Meprolight? Do you like them allot better than stock? Also the one negative I keep hearing is the PPQ sights are the biggest flaw of the pistol.
Had a ppx, sold it and got the ppq m2, loved it for the most part, got the Elite.....Sold the ppq m2. The Elite makes you feel like you have a custom special type of gun. The ppq just feels like a regular all black poly pistol. Plus the ppq recoiled more, the ambi slide stop on the right side of the gun always felt like I was going to bend it or break off some time. The plastic sights, and the frip texture on the back side goes up high enough on the grip that it irritates bad after 30 rounds or so. The only down side I can find to the Elite is that the grip is good but not great, and that it is imported by Century Arms. They are a bugger to deal with. But gun for gun, I believe the Elite wins. Especially when you factor in cost.
Thank you for the comment and great thoughts! I think you summed up things very well and I agree with you. For whatever reason I just gravitate towards the PPQ but the sights on it are disappointing fore sure. That's an interesting point about the grip too! Both are fantastic and at the end of the day, you can't go wrong. Thanks again and cheers!
I've been seeing ppqs for 479-499 consistently lately, lowest I've seen the canik for is 369+ shipping and transfer. Cheaper but not by enough to overcome the quality of materials and machining of the Walther and being able to actually count on the warranty is worth more than 100 dollars imo
Thanks Jonathan! I agree, there is something to the quality of construction of the PPQ that is hard to beat. I think the Canik will continue to grow and they will improve. That said, the price point is pretty tempting for many for the Canik. Either way, both great choices. The PPQ was the winner, but only by a nose. Cheers!
Extremely difficult choice. Love them both
Me too! Thank you and cheers!
I love my PPQ-M2 so much I have Two of them !!
I added Talon rubber grips to both and Meprolight night sights.
In my Opinion, the PPQ-M2 is the Finest Polymer 9mm (it's perfection)!!
I recently picked up the Canik Elite, haven't shot it yet ?
Every time I go to the Range, I shoot my PPQ the most accurately ?
Great stuff Gerry. It's tough to beat the PPQ for sure. The ergos are superb! Let me know how that Elite does though. Cheers!
glad I found this vid. these are the 2 guns I've been fighting over in my mind
Thank you Alex and glad you found it too! Keep me posted on what you decide. Cheers!
I am more likely going with the PPQ, I've found that there is a higher percentage of people having problems with their Caniks. I am a first time buyer from Canada and I don't want to deal with any possible issues from my first purchase. tnks!
You are correct. There is now a large recall on several Canik models due to reliability issues.
Caniks made for armies and police forces, will work any conditions, just rinse it and ready to go, can use it everyday,
Walther, Sig etc they are like something to show your friends and be proud of it, but when it comes to serious personel or home defence I choose Caniks, they are cheap because dollar is strong
since this video both companie have put out a sub compact ,,,wonder what your thoughts on them!....larry from ohio.
I'd take the Walther just out of ancestral pride and because I like it more.
WickedSensation it definitely has a great track record. The grip is hard to beat too! Cheers Wicked.
You should do PPQ vs HK VP9 (if you have a VP9)
Good video. I'd take the PPQ too
You're the second person saying PPQ against the vp9. Sounds like a great matchup! On the way Rotor. Cheers!
where is yours serialed at? my elite is first 100. I haven't shot it enough to know if it's one of the ones with the ejection "issues". My girlfriend had 2 FTE's but it was her first time shooting and I think she limp wristed it. Good review btw
Thanks Cody! I think mine falls after the first few batches. From what I understand, the first batch (whatever that means) had the issue but newer ones are fine. Chances are that yours is fine. Cheers!
I've owned and still own several pistols from various brands (HK, FN, Walther, IWI, Beretta, Glock, S&W, CZ and Canik). I must admit NO brand and I mean none of the brands that I own got me excited as much as Canik did with their products. CZ comes really close, but OEM grip texture on CZ pistols still leave something to be desired. Amount of value you're getting with Canik handguns at their price point is simply UNMATCHED. I'm lucky enough to be able to afford handguns that cost thousands, but if I could only have or afford one pistol it would be either Canik TP9 series pistol or CZ 75 series handgun (depending on the preference striker fired vs hammer fired). Walther is no match to Canik especially when considering their prices.
Just got my TP9SF Elite for $355 shipped. First gun. Haven't shot it yet but already lovin it.
Canik vs Taurus is ok. PPQ vs VP9 is ok but never a company who makes something under license of another company vs a truly innovative company
Man those both have nice looking triggers.
The newish *polymer framed* handguns that are interestedly very similar to the Glock 19:
- Walther PPQ M2
- Canik TP9SF
- S&W M&P 2.0
- SIG P320
- CZ P10C
- FN 509
- Steyr C9-A1 (M9-A1)
- Springfield XD-9
- Beretta APX
- HK VP 9
*Observation* - These pistols are basic copies of the Glock after it’s patents/copyrights ran out. They are making their own “Glock 19” to get some or all of Glocks market share.
EDIT: *Is this a good thing?* Yes, especially for the gun industry. But buyer must be prepared to spend more money if you're the type that jumps to get every new fangled handgun. Personally, I think the original Glock is the best so I’ll just get a 5th Gen. Glock 19, but that is just me.
Great thoughts! Cheers
Gonna try out the ppq i have shot the canik and it felt good in my hand so id like to check out the ppq. Good vid KSG
Thanks Twisted! Both are awesome guns. I'd be interested to hear your take on them both!
Are the 15 round mags between the 2 swapable? I know the 20 round tp9sfx mags fit and lock in the ppq m2 just wondering about the elites mags.
Great question! I have heard that they do. Thank you and cheers!
KSGunGuy.....Thank you for this video. To me it looks like the trigger pull is more consistent on the Canik. Regarding overall features, I prefer the Canik again. For the price tag, Canik come with more stuff in the case then Glock, and Sig. Not sure if the same is true for Walther as Never look at them in gun stores. As I am now entering the fantastic world of USPSA, does anyone else offer a competition, production class pistol for the price of the Canik line. I doubt you can beat the price of the TP9SFX.
Great stuff as always, quick ? Dont have a PPQ but if you only had to have one PPQ or VP9?
I don't want to give away a comparison! Lol. It's another awesome battle and tough choice for sure. I will say that I shoot the vp9 better than the PPQ... we shall see! Cheers Paul
I've not shot the Elite but I've shot the SF and I own a PPQ. Of those two, if I could only have one or the other, I would be willing to pay the extra and choose the PPQ. In my opinion the action feels better, better ergonomics and trigger. Both are good guns and people will do well with either however.
Saddlegait45 great thoughts! The PPQ is certainly build well and no doubt it will stand up to serious abuse. Cheers!
Canik are awesome
Thanks for the comment Alan! There are many who agree with you, no doubt. Cheers!
Is this Centerfire range? I was just there testing out my new TP9SF Elite the other day. Honestly felt better than any Glock, M&P, HK etc striker fired gun ive ever shot
Yes, it's Centerfire Shooting Sports. Thank you and cheers!
My Canik tp9sfx is my second favorite 9mm next to my sig p210.
That's awesome Hunter! Cheers
You lucky duck! a P210?!
I have both, though both of them in the SC versions (Canik TP9 Elite SC and the Walther PPQ M2 SC), an I rotate them out for my EDC every week or so. I find the Walther faster to line up the target, though only because I'm somewhat new to a red dot on a small-framed pistol as my Canik has (Holosun HS507k). Both are right up there with my trusty old, beat up an used Gen 1 Glock 21 .45ACP that has had thousands and thousands of rounds through. I will admit that with higher-pressure rounds, I did have one or two failures to feed in a few hundred rounds through my Canik, but after purchasing the "blue" spring, I've yet to encounter another issue. I could have also just kept firing it stock an the issue might have gone away (common "issue" with Caniks, as I'm to understand).
Either of these sidearms I would not hesitate to grab if my life depended on them in a moments' notice. They are both equally impressive, IMO.
I got my Canik Elite for $389. The PPQ in my neck of the woods is about $579. I think the PPQ is way overpriced. I think the gun is snappy and for that money, I can get a CZ or an HK. So for me it's not even close. The Canik easily wins over the PPQ. I like the Canik because of cost, shootability (it's just so much smoother) and it looks a lot better. The only thing I give the edge to the PPQ on is the grip. I recently bought the Beretta APX and I think it's the best polymer striker fired gun to hit the market. I have the FN 509 on order and am excited to check that one out
rotadyma that's great to hear about the apx! I'm really curious about it. You got a screaming deal on the Canik! Well done. I agree based on value, the Canik wins hands down. Cheers!
Love the Walther but the Caniks keep on impressing me. TP9SFx is constantly in my radar.
Thanks for the comment! Both are fantastic guns indeed Scott. Cheers!
Got the tp9sfx like it so much that I also got tp9sf Elite will not get rid of either ever.
he say lights lasers grenade launchers lol
Watching now.
Thanks G17!
I personally like the ergonomics of the Walther PPQ better but I like the trigger on the Canik better it just seems crisper with a shorter reset and a bit lighter and it also I like the loaded chamber indicator and the caulking indicator that the cash plus the war and tactical sites are better right out of the box
I have the Q5 match, and the TP9SFX. Both are excellent, but I prefer the Walther.
That's awesome! Thank you and cheers!
I also have both and the Walther q5 is my favorite, out of all of my guns .
Canik pp9 = Greatest gun in the world.
I have a PPQ M2 and have handled a TP9SF Elite at a local store. I didn't like the hard angles on the slide cuts of the TP9SF Elite, especially compared to the nicely rounded corners of the PPQ slide. Also the texture of TP9SF Elite's cerakote finish felt too much like cheap traction coating on knives to me. I have more faith in Walther's reliability and quality, so I'll stick with my PPQ. I don't doubt the TP9SF Elite shoots nicely though. To me, the PPQ is worth the higher price. But to each their own, right? :D
Thanks for the comment and thoughts! I think that's a great way to look at it and I completely agree. I like them both, but the Walther is a really solid build and a fantastic trigger. Cheers!
I own this model Canik and love it. My first Canik, and definitely not my last.
“Just as Good” is the siren song of second place.
Would a Taurus G3c equal the Canik?
Canik is better
Haven't shot the Elite myself, but from the dozen or so times i shot my buddies PPQ...it wins by default. ;) Also believe the price can be dropped as well.
CWB1863 thanks CWB! The consensus is Canik due to price and PPQ due to build. Seems both have there merits. I'm with you though, the PPQ is pretty awesome! Cheers brother
I have owned the PPQ M2, however now I own the Tp9sf and Tp9sf elite for the price, $349 and $429 they can't be beat. I'm my eyes they are as good as the PPQ or maybe a little better.
Thanks for the comment Carlos! I agree that the price on the Caniks can't be beat. You get a great gun for a very reasonable cost. Cheers!
Carlos Finch I love canik
@ 2:28 did I hear you say Gernade Launchers???
is the canik tp9sf ammo choosy?
Not in my experience. Thank you and cheers!
Hey KS, they just recalled my PPS
I saw that! Crazy stuff. Keep me posted on what you find out. Thank you and cheers!
Internet research says it is a gun drop/fire issue. The notice from Walther says do not load or fire and give various serial number ranges. I am a little put out as my left rear luminescent sight disappeared while shooting earlier and I will lose my Talon grips in the deal. This after a good PPQ experience
Hopefully they will get it sorted out quickly. Thanks for keeping me in the loop!
Overall the PPQ is a better gun. It should be, it costs at least $100+ more. When you figure in cost and bang for your buck it's not even close. The Canik destroys the PPQ.
Good thoughts Michael. I agree with you 100% on the value perspective. That's why it's a good head to head. Each one has some great attributes. The Canik really has shaken things up! Cheers brother
I'll gladly pay $100 for a better gun.
tscooter22 thanks TS! I can't disagree brother
Just rambling in somewhat related, yet backwards sense... Back in the early-to-mid 90s, I bought a .44 Magnum Desert Eagle pistol for ~$1000. The .50 Action Express was only $150 more expensive, but I didn't buy it, not because of the price of the gun, rather it was the ammo. Back then I used to shoot A LOT, and $1.50 p/rd. for .50 was in my eyes, ridiculous, so I bought the .44. It was twice as expensive as .44 magnum rounds. When I went shooting back in the day, I always brought a friend, so usually I was buying for more than one shooter, heh. If I had the chance to do it all over again I would have bought the .50. The new models have barrel exchange kits, kind of similar to my Sig Sauer P320s. I would love to have that option! That said, I see the gun more as a novelty than something I would use on any sort of a regular basis. I still regret my decision to this day. Oh! Edited to add: Happy Independence Day!!
I'm a canik fanboy. I like Walther also. But Canik triggers are🔥🔥
I have had both and I still choose my Glock 19 over the others. I mean it's a Glock what can I say.
Right on! Thank you and cheers!
I love the ppq awesome gun
I've only shot the PPQ and it was very nice. But I"m a metal hammer fired gun snob now, so they both fail! LOL!!! Just kdding. Seriously though, I would probably go with the Wather, just on name alone (nothing against Canik).

Girls Like Guns, Too I'm starting to really appreciate hammer fired guns Jen. I can see why you like them! That said, both of these are great options in the "hammerless" world. Thanks as always! Cheers
bring back radio?
Canik all day an if the walther is known for one of the best triggers than canik is the best
I got a ppq m-1 shoots great pro lay the best trigger I ever felt in a striker fire gun....I never shot a Canik....
That's awesome Danny! They are great shooters indeed. Cheers!
Screw raw functionality, I'm going for that SFX yo
Nothing wrong with that! Thank you and cheers!
The canick is a way better pistol than Walter glock and ruger in the 9mm models more accurate it is made for millitary use by a Turkish aerospace company machined to perfection does not stove pipe or jam .unlike glock and Walter comes with upgraded metal sights compared to plastic . the best part is the steel magazine you can purchase the gun with 22 round clips and can also order with a threaded barrel for muzzle brake and suppressor assassins choose this gun over any other ...food for thought u.s. millitary just ordered the elite s model for our troops pushing out glock in the elite forces I have a gun from every company I mentioned the trigger pull is around three pound consistently other than the four he's showing other competition is around or just under five pounds shortening sticker response time ..canick by far cheaper ..better look ... Better made ..and can find amazing upgrades .. Just simply cheaper and better
And yes, comparing a PPQ to a Canik is a huge insult to the PPQ. I own a PPQSC, a truly excellent gun but wearing the same pistol everyday can put some wear on it so I’m thinking about buying another SC to share the workload. Eyeing a P10S, Steyr S9, P365, G43X,VP9SK, and the new Canik subcompact. Now, the S9 and VP9SK are pretty tall for subcompact and are double stacked, but they are actually designed very well. The Canik? Holy cow that thing is as thick as an Encyclopedia. I can buy a Steyr S9 for close to the same price as the Canik. So is Canik really that great? No. It’s THE WALTHER TRIGGER. So the correct thing to say would be “yeah, the Canik has the PPQ trigger in it, so it’s great.”
Walther is legendary but Canik is top quality stuff for only the high $300 range 👌you can't beat them!!!!
I don't know if it is me but the walther has More recoil I am pushing 40 and it makes a difference
Kenny 9mm I am on the fence with that Kenny. The time it felt great, but my last outing I definitely felt more recoil as well. Maybe depends on the day or what else we're shooting? Cheers!
Kenny 9mm what ? I'm 45 and recoil has zero affect. Don't mean to attack you but your comment makes no sense.
WickedSensation I think different people have different takes on guns based on ergos and such. I'll admit, I find it snappier than some as well. Not to say it's not awesome to shoot, just a bit snappy.
I get that some guns feel "snappier" but I'm not following what almost 40 has to do with it.
Almost forgot Walther has a $100 rebate on the PPQ until September.
They sure do! Great deal indeed Triggerati. Thank you for the comment and cheers!
That PPQ is the upgraded version with a polygonal barrel.
Thank you Joseph! Cheers
I own the PPQ M2 and I love it! I call it my sniper pistol. It’s the handgun you take to the range when you want to show off. The Canik looks very interesting, though.
That's awesome! The PPQ is indeed a great gun. Caniks do seem to be taking off as well. Thank you and cheers!
PPQ M2 easy choice.
I agree! Cheers!
The long multi-shot range video doesn’t accomplish much...does demonstrate the reliability of both guns. What ammo was being used? What distance? Of course accuracy is more a function of the shooter than the gun. They’re both very good guns.
