Tsumago-juku 20 May 2024

Tsumago is an old post town on Nakasendo, the ancient route between Tokyo and Kyoto. Its buildings and environment were very much preserved. Walking in the town brings us back to the time when traveller and officiers taking a break enroute to Tokyo or Kyoto.
Journey from Nagano to Tsumago-juku takes almost 3 hours. The experience from visiting this ancient town is well worth the travel!
