Thank you for this! I’m fostering-to-adopt a tiny, sick kitten and was handed this with no explanation. I tried to ask questions to figure it out and it was quickly clear it would be best to consult the good souls on the internet.
Thank you for this! I was handed a Proviable probiotic syringe for my rescue puppy who has giardia and was given no directions on how to use it and it didn't feel intuitive to my visually impaired self... It's actually a very clever design now that I understand how it works!
Thank you for showing me how to use the tube properly! I kept looking for instruction on how to use it but never found anyone showing as well as describing how to use it. Thank you from me and my pup!
Thank you for making this video! I was given this syringe for probiotics with no instructions anywhere. I didn't know what to do after the first dose. I find this syringe very stiff to use. You need three hands! Two to push the plunger and one to hold the mouth open. Strangely I only have two hands. So it's a bit of a struggle.
Thanks for this short but effective video! I was reading the written Directions several times without understanding how to use the tube for our dog puppie. Your video gave me instantly the answers to my questions. Hans from Germany.
Thank you. I bought Lysine-100 for my cats but didn't know how to use the syringe. The manufacturers aren't thinking about the first time users. They should include a user's guide or instructions.
Thanks for the video! Yeesh, the VET didn't even give me the proper directions. The box says 1ml, but the vial says cc!!! Ugh😬🤯😤😡🤪 Why do pet parents have to seek out further assistance with these things? The VET needs to do their job! Doctors or naturopathic physicians wouldn't give a prescription without any guidance nor would the pharmacy! Our pets are our family! Thanks to RUclips for having a platform for this kind of information because obviously many VETS and other workers are too lazy to do their job! Ugh
I wish I knew this.. my vet didn't explain how to use this type of syringe. All she said was turn it up one notch for each dose... so I gave my kitten her first dose woth the dial on the wrong side of the number... I was wondering why almost nothing came out.. tomorrow I'll know what to do.
@@shellymccloud5228 would you mind explaining? I have a very small kitten. It says 1cc (or 1 mL) every 12 hours for 14 days, but the syringe they gave me has 20 cc all together so the math isn’t adding up lol
@@my6hs dial the dosage ring all the way to the base, then u dial it back up to the first cc mark. When u dispense it, it will only administer that small amount. The medicine is THICK, my kitten didn’t do well with it. I finally started putting it on my finger then placing it in her tongue so she didn’t get injured with that hard syringe. Good luck
This doesn't show much that's useful. How quickly do you push the dosage into your dog's mouth is what I am wondering. Do you do put it in the back of their tongue, front of their tongue, cheek, or what?
Why is there not better instructions in the packaging....ours is a different brand....and this cleared up a discussion (aargh) that my hubby and I were having about it....People see different things in a different way and this show that. Yeah I Lost!! Lol
Purely uncaring are Vets like mine and apparently several others who just hand you this plastic steampunk looking contraption without explaining how it works and making you feel bad like you're not intelligent enough to decipher how to get out that 1 ml or 1 cc which are apparently the same but if you come from a backward country like mine - the US - where they made me learn the metric system in school in the 1970's but then after all that the country refused to adopt it so we still have to know ounces and quarts and gallons which make no sense and the contraption is set at 5 but I need 1 and the vet says just read the directions on the tube but I'm like they might as well be in a foreign language and you're already upset because you just want your pet/family member to feel better and you're exhausted from cleaning up miles or is it kilometers of explosive diarrhea the vet tech finally says you have to dial it back to 0 then you get a giant blob that is obviously too much or is it and which is worse too little or too much probably and then they're closed for days and you're left helpless unless you want to drive to the emergency vet who will actually help you try to figure out this thing that they've never even heard of and then you find out that your vet royally ripped you off in your time of need by charging you $80 for a med I now know I can get from Chewy for $20 after which my vet's obvious greed disgusted the emergency vet tech. @Vetoquinol PLEASE train vets how to use this thing, and how to patiently teach pet parents how to use this thing. All that said thank you for the med which does seem to be working and for making it available to pet parents through Chewy for a less exorbitant cost.
I was wondering that as well. Is it an accumulated type of thing? For 5cc you add another 5cc to the 2nd dose and now the 3rd dose is up to 15cc on the dial?? Please help, anyone? So confused!!
Thank you!!! Very helpful and wish I had looked for this sooner. Vet tech didn't explain well and I thought setting it at 1 meant it would dispense same 1cc dose over and over. Couldn't figure out why none was coming out after first dose and kept pushing harder and thinking it was broken. Please tell your veterinarian offices to explain better and refer to your video. Now that I understand, it all makes sense. Had to read comments to totally get it because I, too, was wondering why 5 then 10 next time. Still could be even a little clearer on the video.
The first dose was 5cc and after administering the dose he left it at 5cc. So to administer the next dose of 5cc he moved the ring back another 5cc (from 5cc to 10cc). If a third dose was to be applied he'd move it from 10cc to 15cc and so on. Each time it's a dose of 5cc being administered.
I realize your comment is 9 months old, but in case this helps anyone else I'll reply. I put it in a pill pocket. It doesn't really fit, and I can't close the top. But I give the pill pocket bottom first and my dog doesn't seem to notice.
video is helpful but I still think this is a very poor delivery system. Not sure if my dog is getting enough or maybe too much. Go back to the drawing board on this one
My cat insists that I let y'all at Vetoquinol know that you have no clue what chicken tastes like.
A huge thx to youtube and the person who made this video caring about pets, step by step showing how to get medicine out using this syringe. God Bless

EXTREMELY HELPFUL.
Thank you for this video. The vet I went to is a dunce and told me that after the first dose, it would just reset itself. I need a new vet.
The best instruction very helpful 👌 Thank you for taking the time to provide this😃

Ok so I did do it right, thank you. I recently got this from my vet for my dog, but there were no instructions.
I’m supposed to give 1c. And I’m so confused at how to administer that
did you ever figure this out?

So helpful! Thanks :)

Question: How do you I administer it to him. i.e., how do I get it into his mouth? Or do I add it to the food?

Thank you friend 🖤

Sorry forgot to THANK YOU!!
Can I use this for on a two week old puppy
What do you do if you accidentally pulled the syringe totally out of the tube?
After how many days will I see a difference in my puppies stool
Is it kept in the refrigerator or not?
No. Room temp
Our vet said refrigerate. So confused now.
Ca i mix it with food?
Yes

It's easier just to squeeze the amount you want on your finger and put it in your cat's mouth.
That’s exactly what I did. I only used a dot bc he’s only 2 pounds. The directions on this is terrible.

I have a 3 in half week old dog who weighs 2.6 pound they told me to add the whole tube to his milk but he isn’t over or 10 pounds
Whoever told you that should not have that job.
My vet told me 1ml every 8 hours for ten days. How will this not run out in ten days if I use 5cc each time? Is 5cc 1 ml??
CC's & ml are the same thing. 1 ml would be 1 CC.
what a silly method. Why can't you put the measure back to ZERO?
I have speed quite a time to give a second and third administration 😵☹
